I love the people hating on Floyds. If you set up a Floyd properly, you will have zero problems with it. Very stable bridge if you know how to set it up.
louis sorrentino I can set up a hard tail, lp style, fender trem even a kahler once that play like butter, I have never liked the setups I got from a Floyd, I don’t know what I am doing wrong. Even when I get everything balanced in the Floyd and the string height where it should be, the string tension feels to stiff, I dunno what I do wrong
Just got mine and it is awesome! The craftsmanship is unbelievable and it plays like butter! You can get any sound you want out of the tomohawk pickups!
Absolutely fell in love with this guitar when I tried it out. Only thing I would change is remove the tone knob and move the volume knob to the bottom where it's far out of the way.
That thing is so damn sick. Ive got an SE standard 24 and it's been an amazing.instrument. i gotta start saving. I havent wantes something so bad since my.license at 15
All Floyd Rose floating trems have locking nuts. You’ll see a lot of professional players that don’t know anything about guitars remove them, and it makes absolutely zero sense on why you’d do that.
Nice, lovin it. Ah, been playing a lot lately and couldn't of said it better= volume knob/ hitting it all the time on some of my guitars.... yes, back far out of the way, perfect placement. Great demo, -Cheers
$2550 💔 I want to get one of these one day. Because good god this things beautiful. But honestly I just noticed Schecter came out with something awesome very similar to this so like, I’ll manage. I just wanted to come here and say how ridiculously hot this thing is
A lot of times, i thought that this man’s signature design is better than Mark Holcomb’s. Whenever see his guitar i want to touch and play some through it. Its sleekness, color combination between the body and fretboard, the hardware, it is simply interesting.
It's crazy, my CU24 shipped from Germany to Southern California and sat in a storage container for a month (military so I doubt they'd be handled with the best care) and was perfectly in tune when I pulled it out. I don't think they have crazy carbon fibre/etc. neck reinforcements either.
@@rz0svp I didn't say it sucks. I just said Dusties model has a thinner neck and i switch back and forth frequently. I'm just saying they are different.
Anyone try the Mojotone DW set? I have a recent model CE-24 and need something more suited to riffy drop-tuned stuff. Are they similar to existing Dimarzio/Duncan/BKPs?
@@drdoom8793 The 1000 series is the Korean made Floyd. It's the best of the non-German Floyds for sure. I assume it's a cost cutting measure, like with the S2's using the SE trems. Dusty also mentions price point in the video.

I was all in on these, until he mentioned the neck is thinner than the pattern thins on the CU24s. How is that even possible? The pattern thin is so thin it cramps my hands, and its why I've always sold the CU24s I've owned through the years. It sucks that the only "fat" neck PRS makes across their entire line is the pattern vintage on the 594s, which btw are not even that fat. Ditch the floyd, go with a wide fat neck, and keep everything as is at that price point, and you have a really cool original guitar that would appeal to more players IMO.
This thing is or was awesome. 25” scale and the Floyd didn’t get along with me at all. But it’s it the best sounding guitar I ever sold. Best finish in the range.
I love the people hating on Floyds. If you set up a Floyd properly, you will have zero problems with it. Very stable bridge if you know how to set it up.
Just block the trem. Also, no need to file the nut when putting thicks strings.
Exactly. They can be frustrating but when you set it up right it is so comfortable and it never goes out of tune. I love my floyd guitar.
And you can do more with a floyd too... Fact

LOL..MANY IDIOTS THAT DONT NEED TO BE MESSING WITH ANYTHING MORE MECHANICAL THAN A TOOTH BRUSH...THAT AND OBAMA BOX OF ROCKS VOTERS
Really love how PRS embraces the metal crowd. Thanks guys!
\m/
Probably the most beautiful PRS I've seen
The finish is stunning. This colour needs to be released for other models
Yess " exactly it should be launched soon
Yo, PRS. Can you guys take it a bit slower? You keep releasing guitars I want to buy!!
I love how this and the Holcomb don't scream "signature model" and just have unique specs. Even the silver sky
Just do it...buy one...you know you want to.
Miguel Rico they done come out for 12 months
get the 509. thats all u need my friend
Very nice! I'm very impressed by the fact that PRS is such a versatile brand. You have jazzmen, metal artists, pop artists using these guitars.
Luv the control knobs and switch placement ( out of the way) perfect.
Absolutely gorgeous instrument. 🤘🏻🔥🎸🤜🏻🤛🏻
Reminds me of those old schecter Damien's except like, nice
Yea this definitely looks like the old hellraisers.
@@hershellumiere Looks like the a more mature Loomis sig. Which were awesome.
Holy mother of god... this is genuinely painful how beautiful this thing is. I don't.... strictly... _need_ ... my left kidney... do I...?
Picked this up after like 5 min of playing in store! Every note rings so clear and sustained! PRS is some proper quality
I wonder if PRS will ever make core guitars with the Waring burst? It's a beautiful color and will look amazing on core models.
I'd be all over it if they made one with a regular prs trem
Same here, fuck a Floyd
lmao then buy a ce 24
@@guitaristforfunn it has totally different specs
Sweet-Jay same. I’d be all over it if they had one without a Floyd.
Damn dude like one like the older Johnnie Hiland sigs with these specs.

The Waring burst and Burnt Amber are killer!!
Fuck it, I'm buying it.. This thing is everything I want in a Floyd Rose axe and it's absolutely gorgeous.
Just ordered one from reverb I’m so excited
I will always prefer an ebony fretboard I think, just personal preference... however, I LOVE the finish on this guitar! Looks really badass
Floyd Rose with locking nut! Beautiful guitar! I’m in!
All Floyd Rose floating trems have locking nuts. You’ll see a lot of professional players that don’t know anything about guitars remove them, and it makes absolutely zero sense on why you’d do that.
Sounds like down tuned 80’s metal. Sick 🤘🏼
Same thing, P R S have a major issue, they are perfect !
On my must have list!
A superb musician and a bad ass sounding guitar. Nice work! 🙏

Killer guitar and AMAZING guitarist!!!
Weird edit at 5:26... But a thinner neck than the pattern thin sounds intriguing. Awesome playing as always

That opening segment sounds like an EVH. I could just hear Top of the World being played on it.
I need that sun of nothing playthrough though Dustie
That matte finish is so sexy! Our guitarist wants one of these so bad haha
Burnt Amber Smoke Burst!!!!😍
I have one on the way. Dying to get it.

I own one, the thinner neck profile is amazing. I get so spoiled by it when I go back to my Custom 24s, the pattern thin necks feel so wide to me lol.

Loving everything but that 1000 series Floyd. Why not go with the German made OFR? Does it make that big of a difference in the final price?

Anybody know what song that riff is in at the end of the video
It's the same thing just made by Koreans for way cheaper.
It's almost twice the price, and that kind of thing for a production guitar it's a lot, they have to cut some corners.
Big boys play Floyd’s, if you know how to use em you’re in great shape
Yo, Paul, build left handed versions of CE line! Of couse, there lefty SEs. But who doesn't like to have a lefty USA Classic Edition??
I liked a lot. It will be mine.
I know what my first floyd gon be now 😭
Hell yeah Dustie!
Sun of nothing was a very inspiring choice
That's my favorite BTBAM song!

Woah. I want me one of these, SE version please? :D
What is the fret board radius for this one?

I love how this dude is just talking about the guitar as a guitar player 🤣 “it’s like, the most stable wood”
Why does PRS always remind me of the cobwebs in my wallet a competition give away would be much appreciated
Mr Paul Reed Smith
Or anyone at PRS.
i hope i can get this from Music is Win and you

Just out of curiosity, what was it that made you not get along with it? I have floyds on both short and long scale guitars and get along with both.
I see now you maybe didn't mean the combination of them rather than neither scale or floyd suited you.
Love the guitar, hate the Floyd!
Have you heard of nearly every other PRS guitar ever made

I'd personally roast the maple then it's perfect!
The back of the neck SHOULDN'T have been painted. Why?
gloss finishes get sticky from sweat, satin not so much... if it all really
Blacktop 💦
What's the price on this bad boy lol
2.5 k USD
Can you divebomb on a floyd?
No floyd and a natural satin maple headstock and neck instead of a black headstock would be perfect for me.
The only sucky thing any Floyd, if you can call it that, are string changes. They do take more effort, but hey…anything great takes time and energy.
A spaceman. That's what they say I am
Miss the old sigs with ebony board:/
i prefer rosewood fingerboard
I think I’d murder a puppy for that guitar...jk.....maybe

Must have killed Paul to put a Floyd on one of his guitars.
For 2500 you could've put an original Floyd on it instead of the 1000 series. WTF
never touched the whammy bar?! WTF? Why don't you get someone who can demo the guitar properly? like Steve Vai or Satch?
It's his signature guitar
That looks un-PRS. LTD/ESP,Jackson, and Schecter have better things to offer instead.
