- The DW CE 24 Hardtail Limited Edition brings Dustie Waring’s signature specs to a trem-less guitar. Dustie Waring’s signature model starts with the PRS CE 24 bolt-on platform and includes a satin-finished maple neck, maple fretboard, a slightly modified Pattern Thin neck carve (Waring’s carve is slightly thinner front to back), and - unique to this limited edition - a hardtail bridge.

Important notes regarding this PRS Dusty Waring Ce 24 guitar video demo. Compared to all the other videos I've seen with this guitar
that I'll mention from this demo.
Is the unexpected genres that are also convictingly possible to play with this hard rock, metal, high output, sounding guitar.
Because
I heard clean appeggiated chords 2:50, clean articulate strumming 3:19,
hybrid fingerstyle picking 3:46, snappy tight funky licks with rhythm riffs 4:14,
relaxing smooth jazz 4:30.
Plus I'm willing to bet now, other genres of music like blues, country, etc.
I'm pleasantly surprised at how wonderful, and truly versatile this guitar actually is.

It would be so cool, if fully adjustable hardtail bridges started appearing in the basic SE line too!
The thing I love most about my CE24 is its versatility. Now, if only I could get it to sound as versatile as this guitar does in Bryan's hands...

I was lucky enough to get one early last week. I have this finish with the floyd. I prefer the solid black birds and how industrial the black hardware, headstock and back looks.
I absolutely love it. It's my favorite PRS that I own, two SE, one SS and this one. It's actually quickly becoming my favorite guitar. It's so bad ass looking, as well.
I have it tuned to C# with the heavy gauge strings it came with. It sounds incredibly articulate and heavy af. PRS hit this one out of the park.

Absolutely LOVE my CE24 semihollow. You know, it’s weird…I know, in my bones, that my old cu24 is a “nicer” guitar but they’re both so solid that it’s really a 1a and 1b situation. Few pickups will ever top the HFS and Vintage bass combo for me (possibly none) but the CE-24 does a much better tele impression, etc. Bringing the CE family back to its former glory is one of the best moves PRS has made in the last ten years, imo. That and the Mary Cries…top shelf “LA-2A in a box” type pedal.

Bryan, you probably don't read these comments very often if at all. I have been a serious guitar player since 1959.
I would like to say first off, I appreciate your technic, your ability to play almost any genre and this is what separates you from so many other reviewers.
Not only do you describe the features of every instrument that you review you also try to play with about every kind of style like fingerstyle with a pic with a slide so that players can get a better feel for how the guitar responds and sounds true any of those approaches.
It would be fair of me to say that I now own four PRS guitars because of the way you do your job.
I am going to throw this out there as a question do you have an opinion about the PRS 594 McCarty SE standard single cut ?
I ask because I know you'll be honest in your response

Can't wait for PRS to put stainless steel frets on their guitars. I've been playing a certain guitar with stainless steel frets for the last 4 years and there is essentially zero fret wear on it. Another guitar that I played that had nickel frets I killed the frets in barely 2 years. Put SS frets on your guitars PRS! $400+ for a refret, ain't nobody got time for that, lol!

First PRS iv been like 'hmm that exactly what I want" ,- that green looks great in satin - are you doing it in lefthand? Iv yet to add a prs due to the limited colours you offer for us leftys especially in satin but this is perfect.

I made my own out of my Korean SE24. Sounds amazing, at least I think. Pretty sure the last video on my yt channel has a sound sample of it. I added graphtec ghost saddles and the board to mine. I also added an extra volume knob and switch. Really wasn't a hard install and it makes for some cool tones.
A Holcomb CE 24 would be a sick addition to Mark’s seemingly successful signature model, considering his USA models are not exactly attainable.

Sweetwater offers financing on this guitar that makes the payments $78 a month for 36 months. It ends tomorrow, so I jumped on that 2 weeks ago. I called them and asked for the lowest price they could give me, so with tax, it turned out to be $2700. I guess I did it early enough, because they had two (this finish w/ floyd and the solid black one), that they expected to come in later that week. It did, my rep called me and asked if I wanted it. I wanted the Jade burst with floyd as my first choice, so it worked out, otherwise they are not getting another batch until the end of summer. So, now is your chance. Reverb has some used ones that you can get for around $1800. Good luck. Great guitar.

This guitar is sooo sexy. I love the satin finish all over the place, even on the hardware. The knobs. Oh my god. If you guys at PRS release an SE version this one with satin finish, people will burn all resellers websites to the ground. Including myself.

weren't the DW CE 24 priced under 2k last year. Now pushing 3k. Crazy how guitars have gone up. How could the average player afford guitars now a day without gong in debt?
Yes, unfortunately prices have been going way up, but don't pretend like the only option is to buy $2500+ guitars. There are plenty of affordable guitars out there and they aren't going anywhere. A $500 guitar today is going to be a lot nicer than a $500 guitar 20 years ago. Manufacturing has become a lot more streamlined and consistent, and technology trickles down. While I certainly would like one of these guitars, no one NEEDS one. Except maybe Dustie himself. They're just collector's/enthusiast items otherwise. The "average player" will be fine.
