@@wvb5888 depends what you want to do with your phone if your a heavy user….I’ve just upgraded my 12 pro Max to the 14 pro max as I’m a heavy user and I’d benefit from the longer battery life and the upgraded camera
Smaller aperture is actually an upgrade, not a downgrade at all. The lower the aperture, the more light is able to come in.
It’s lower or higher not larger or smaller.
It’s also referred to as faster

It's pretty basic camera stuff
By smaller he meant that f/1.78 on 14 pro is physically a smaller hole for light to come in as compared to f/1.5 on the 13 pro, which is a downgrade for 14 pro, but the bigger sensor size will negate that downgrade for low light performance

@@seyf6030 lol no. Aperture means the opening to the lens. It is either larger or smaller. The speed of which the camera allows light in is called the shutter speed. Larger aperture however allows for faster shutter speed.
Also, an aperture is expressed in f/x (x: 1.5, 1.7, 2.0, 2.2…) so the smaller the denominator the larger the aperture. So it means the camera will be capable to take better images with more lights allowed in.
I wouldn't call the f/1.5 to f/1.78 aperture adjustment a downgrade by any means. I would say they optimized it and found the correct amount of depth needed to capture a nicer shot.
Should be interesting to see if the brighter screen levels cause more overheating or screen dimming

Exactly. The NUMBER ONE THING that I would want in a future iPhone, is COOLER OPERATION, and NO SCREEN DIMMING. It is ABSURD how FAR my dAzzLing OLED iPhone 13 Pro will DIM in COOL atmospheres, when actively using it over 5G (I have no home Wi-Fi).

So I’m upgrading from my dinosaur of a phone, the iPhone 6s. It’s finally giving out, but has served me well. I’ll be getting the iPhone 14, and I feel like I’m not going to know what to do with it because it’s so much more advanced, lol. Looking forward to enjoying better battery life, and the new camera. Dude…. You really did make a school boy error with the aperture. The faster (or more wide open) the aperture is the more light it can let in, thus better performance, especially in low light and better bokeh. The lower the aperture number the better. Low numbers open it up, higher numbers close it.

The A16 actually scores 1875 single and nearly 5500 multi. That score leak was the first one and it is lower than the ones that have come after it
Ok, so some of you might know this so ill ask here. The silicone/leather apple covers/cases don't seem to have many colours for this generation. Do anyone know whether they usually bring more out later in the year as theres more colours for the 13 range?
Hey Stuart. Yes, they introduce seasonal colors for Apple Watch bands and silicone cases. You’ll have to wait until spring because these are the fall colors. Leather cases normally don’t introduce new colors (maybe a few).
I highly recommend the leather case over others. Just don’t get a bright color.
I seriously doubt that Dynamic Island will be going to the non-Pro models, due to HOW MUCH Apple have emphasized it “looks liquid”, even making a “dedicated chip section” JUST for it’s SMOOTH animations… Dynamic Island would look BBBAAADDD on a 60 Hz panel.
The Touch Bar was ALWAYS, ONLY, a “Pro” feature. Not brought to any other Mac lines.

for phones it's better to have WiFi 6 vs 6E due to better range (and lower cost). wifi 6 is plenty fast as it is.

hey for me i am waiting for the iPhone 15 pro series. or maybe the iPhone 16 pro max with under screen Face ID sensors under the display. or for a single camera hole or no holes on front display on iPhone series. For a design change to the iphone series. I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max blue color right now. i’ll get the new iPhone 16 pro max or the iPhone 15 pro max. i would like to see the display camera battery. or other things to get better improvements on the next iPhone series. hopefully will get some big or small changes with the next iPhone 16 series. also will come with no notch no obstructions. on the front display on the iPhones series.
I think it’s extremely hopeful to have all the Face ID hardware as well as the camera under the screen by the iPhone 16.
The geekbench score aren’t the actual scores. Check Ice Universe for the real score. The A16 multicore is over 5000!
That’s a hug boost. Bigger than the A14 to A15 by quite a bit.
These are just initial benchmarks , nothing to be exiting about or concern. Nevertheless, the A16 is not so impressive as Apple is trying to sell it

Can the European model of the iPhone 14 use the satellite feature when you are in the US or canada with the phone? Or does it just straight up not have te hardware for it? Like the fact that the European models don’t have a 5G mmwave antenna on them at all.

Go for it. The upgrades are huge. ProMotion screen with always on display, new cameras front and back, more efficient processor, faster memory, better cooling, Dynamic Island, better Bluetooth module, iOS 16 specific features and more.
All the leaks and design of the new Iwatch was all wrong.. and this so called dynamic island design will be here for the next 5 years which means no all screen design or folding phones for a long time lol 😂

The way they built the chip for 14 is 20% more power efficient and now that the display will go down to 1 hz on still images, the battery should see good significant bump

Honestly most of the things you said was covered in the event. I think you should only talk about things the event didn't cover and have the phone for yourself for at least a week to make an in depth video of all the things we probably didn't know
I'm waiting for the battery drain test between all iPhone 13 and 14 even the mini. Just wanna see the 8 phones and see which does the best. I think it'll be 14 plus which is a shame because people are paying a lot of money for the pro max to not have the best battery in an iphone so that's a big disappointment and one of the few reasons why I'm sticking to the iPhone X. I only see myself upgrading when it either drops support for latest ios update or there's a significant difference with the new iPhone from the previous generation.
So let's see if that iPhone 15 has USB type c and periscope lens. It should have a bigger battery but one thing I won't be expecting probably ever is an under display touch id. The under display camera and face id technology is still at least a couple of years away. So iPhone 16 Pro maybe

Funny thing i found out with my 13 pro 128gb version. You can shoot 4k prores with the beastcam app. Doesn't work in filmic pro, or any other app I've tried, but in beastcam it does. You definitely shouldn't, but you can haha
