They look better than i hoped for in the daytime. Was very happy with how they looked on or off.

Hello MOABMAN, great video with the detail installation I just received my from amazon and I made my on kit to get the power from the light instead of the fuse box like the video shows on amazon, but my main question is that on the original cover there are vents (openings) that I imagine it blows cold air to keep the engine cold, but on the new lights is completely covered, so how long have you had your lights installed? Did you noticed if the engine is hotter now? Since I am in Florida I just want to make sure I won't have any issues later. Also I was thinking about drilling some holes on the light so the air can come thru, since is black maybe the holes won't be noticed, what do you think? Is necessary to drill these holes?

Thank you for the comment and support! I have had mine for over 6 months now and havent had any issues. I dont believe there will be an issue with overheating because i have rode in 105 degree weather here and it did fine. Mine has a gap around the fog light opening and does not seal around the light incase yours does, so air does go into that area on mine. Drilling holes should not hurt it and may help. My original cover plate had the hole of the fog light blocked entirely from factory so i dont think this area is a big concern for cooling. I think some Spyders still have that opening blocked on the base model F3. Plus your grill, radiators, and fan should be properly cooling the engine. I do recommend not covering up the service panel area where your safety card is. These holes do help draw out the heat some.

@@vanderleitseng Your welcome and I apreciate the comment and questions. Just incase your situation is way different than mine.... Pay attention to your fan and if it continuosly runs and never cuts off that is one of the first signs that it cant handle temps. On hot days my fan turns on and off a lot but never continuously runs. This mainly happens when i am standing still or going slow on a paved road in the heat. It has nowhere to get cold air from. Hope all this helped you.
