I really love how Wendy was so understanding of Dipper when he fessed up about his feelings for her, even though she already kinda knew. Because chances are, she’s probably been there before, and knows how it feels to like someone who you know you probably don’t have very much of a chance with.
And instead of making him feel embarrassed for it, she lets him know that it’s okay and it won’t effect their friendship.
Mabel did advice Dipper to talk directly to Wendy in time traveler pig, didn't she?

I have to say that I just realized how soft and kind Wendy was towards Dipper.
Did you know that at 3:45, Wendy hands Dipper her drink to show him the picture of her, and then when she asks about the birthmark, Dipper drinks out of her cup, and Wendy doesn't even react. I feel like that shows how much of a friendship Wendy and Dipper have together. It's a shame that Dipper was only 12, because they'd be the perfect couple!

Funny thing, Wendy never treats Dipper as a kid or a little brother, she is the same to him as she is with her other friends; in fact, I think Wendy spends even more time with Dipper than she does with her other friends. The hat switch in the end is so meaningful, Wendy wants to make sure she and Dipper have something from each other. I am pretty sure they will end together a couple of years later

Dipper and Pacifica have only interacted twice, in the Northwest mansion episode and the face thief story of the comic; in both cases we can see that Dipper barely tolerates Pacifica, he advises her to be better than her family and that's all; Yes, Pacifica starts having a crush on Dipper but it is onesided. She didn't even went to say goodbye to him in the last episode...
Even after the "Into the Bunker" episode the show is still hinting something between Dipper and Wendy... Little Wendy thinking that Dipper was cute obviously meant something (if the show wanted to discourage that shipping this scene would be totally unnecesary and cruel) and the Weirdmaggedon episodes showed us how awesome Dipper and Wendy are together (Again, why put them together if they are trying to deny their chemistry?)
Another thing, have you noticed that Wendy is the only character in the show that NEVER has mocked Dipper? Even Soos has done that... Also, Wendy has dated A LOT of guys and she never gave a crap about them, she even got over Robbie in just a couple of days; and yet, she tells Dipper that she will jump into the bottomless pit if he stops being her friend... In fact, it is Wendy who tells Dipper that her life was boring until she met him (Who has a crush again?).
Unfortunately Dipper is too short for his age while Wendy is too tall (Stan describes her as a 15 year old girl with the height of an adult woman because of her freaky lumberjack genes); Wendy is still a teen and obviously she would be ashamed to date Dipper who looks like an 8 year old kid; but again, she always has said that Dipper is in fact too mature for his age... And again, I still think that her clone's words (If you were older you would be my dream guy) are actually based on her real thougths.
If Alex Hirsch really wanted to encourage a relationship between Dipper and Pacifica she would have more relevance in the plot.
Also, badass redhead girl always will be better than blonde spoiled brat and finally, since he is a pine tree and she is a lumberjack, it is his destiny to fall over for her.

I wonder if part of the reason Wendy was so understanding and fast friends with dipper is because she technically was in a similar situation with him in the past.
There’s a point in season 2 when the twins go back in time 10 years and a very young Wendy sees dipper and like immediately forms a crush on him.
Now of course it’s very likely she’d forget about that over those 10 years and it was just a fleeting feeling, nothing serious.
But part of me wonders if when she met him for technically the second time 10 years later, some part of her subconscious recognized him and remembered that feeling and so she was able to better relate to the issue and also become better friends with him

Wow I love their chemistry, the fact that dipper and wendy actually has a heart to heart discuss about how dipper feels about her, which makes their friendship all the more wholesome. And where wendy helped dipper find mabel from weirdageddon.
I headcanon Wendy is Dipper's best friend in the Falls. Yeah, he spends a lot of time having fun with Soos, but Soos was nice to everyone. And with the exception of Ford, Wendy's the only character in the show who seems to treat Dipper with more affection than his sister. That says a lot about them, I think. Which is why I'm okay with them as a couple or not, as long as they stay close.

Wendy Is A True Sweetheart especially in the inconveniencing episode she backed him up & showed good concern to Dipper & when I first watched it on TV when I was stuck in Motel 6 in a snowstorm I was literally having a heartwarming feeling when I first saw it & feel I found myself in a Great show! & shedding tears.
I wanna see gravity falls 10 years later. Dipper coming back as 22 year old just marching in like a boss, and then he and wendy can finally be together.
I would Love to see that to in the Next Generation after all it is & realistic Relationship & Possible because I think they are a Better pair & Relationship ship then Pacifica & Dipper Honestly since that one only happened in one episode.
I could totally see Dipper and Wendy hooking up once Dipper comes of age.

I will always be a HUGE wendip shipper, idc. They're meant to be with each other. Probably my favorite dynamic ever. And their age gap is genuinely not bad at all (Wendy is 15, and Dipper turns 13 the same year). The reason why it's being so exaggerated, is because of their physical features - Wendy is tall, while Dipper is short with unproportional, childish-like features, blah blah
But I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves their relationship. They always support and understand each other, it's just so heartwarming and sweet. Thank you for this video, cured my childhood needs

If you actually watched the show, how do you not know this? She literally gives him advice on how to ask Wendy out, too. She was also grateful that they shared a room together. Many people ship Dipper and Pacifica but for me, WenDip is my couple. They said Dipper is too short for Wendy and he's younger than her. But you know, once boys enter puberty, their height increases rapidly, I don't think when Dipper grows up he will still be shorter than Wendy. And they are only 3 years apart.

Age gap is only weird now, but adults with a 3 year age gap are normal.
While I agree that a 3 year age gap isn't a big deal when ur an adult what's weird to me about it is knowing each other when the age gap *was* significant. 13 and 15 (the closest in age they get) is still a really significant different at that stage of life. So even though they obviously won't be those same ages forever, it doesn't change the fact that Wendy knew Dipper when he was barely a teenager and she had a significant maturity difference from him. I could care less about his height, it's just the age thing for me.
obviously these are just fictional characters so I don't think people are necessarily hurting anyone by shipping them, I just hate to see the same mentality used in real life.

If they ever do a Season 3, set in the next summer or something, I can totally see them becoming an actual couple. Seriously, let Dipper develop a bit, physically I mean, which he would do in the year between turning 13 and 14, and that two year age gap will no longer seem important. A 16 year old girl dating a 14 year old boy isn't really that weird, heck if you swapped the genders over a 16 year old boy dating a 14 year old girl would be positively conventional, and the only reason Dipper/Wendy seems weird is because he hasn't hit a growth spurt yet

I get why a lot of people ship Dipcifica, I get that. However, Wendy and Dipper have spent much more time together than Dipper and Pacifica (only in one episode). And I understand that Dipcifica is backed by the creator and the age difference stuff, but these two (Wendy and Dipper) are perfect for each other.
Edit: and in that episode let's remember that Dipper and Pacifica made up as friends. And i also think that between those two there is a profund bond.

The reason it only went for 2 seasons because Alex Hirsch made it so. Disney tried to convince him to keep going, but Hirsch put his foot down and relented. Besides, if it did continue, the story might not go well along the line and in some case might even end on a cliffhanger if the season it continues on might not get a new one, so Alex did the right thing of not continuing the show, to prevent seasonal rot.
