Hey mate! Sorry your comment must have slipped through! I'm doing a full coolant flush when I swap my radiator over and replace the hoses and thermostat. Keep your eyes peeled for that one in the next few weeks hopefully!
Ive got 2 inch of suspension lift right now, i'm looking at getting a 2 inch body lift and putting 33s on my d22. would you say HD tie rodds are a neccecity? also out of all the upgrades youve done to your steering set up like steering dampner, HD sway bars, drag links, upca etc..., which ones would you say should be prioritised? Thanks
Hey mate did you tighten the castle nuts right down to Nissan's torque specs or did you just do it tight enough to get the split pin in? If I go down to the torque specs it's well past the spilt pin hole.
I always torque to spec and would recommend it where possible. Is a bit weird though given the split pin is a fair way lower but I've had no issues yet.
Can confirm the Navs are notorious for having weak tie rods from factory. Particularly once lifted it adds extra strain from the increase in angle. The amount of ball joints also make the steering sloppy when lifted above 2". It was just on a steep rocky incline with loose rocks everywhere so assuming I just hit one of those with a bit too much commitment 😬
Fiddly bits is the cheapest type of paint you can get from the local bunnings hardware 😆 context: "Ahh she'll be right, just give it the fiddly bits special"
A custom EFS setup from K&S Auto parts. Yet to test them out, will be doing a rundown and review of how the complete 3 inch setup goes soon. They're not specifically for a D22 but they're supposed to fit the compression and downtravel for the 3 inch. Time will tell how they go I guess!
Have you done a dody lift on a d22? I'll be doing mine just so i can run my tyres without them rubbing while 4bn. I do have a 2" suspension lift but just not enough room
@@Charlezy10 I'll be considering a 1 inch body lift depending how well I clear 33s. They're still a few months away at this point so it won't be in the next few months but its on the list!
Well done mate. Have a good and safe Christmas
Thanks mate! You too!
