Hi friend. I follow you and I like your work !! Could you make a simple video of which pipes I will solve and clean the radiator heating system? The radiator of the radiator is obviously clogged and does not bring me hot air in the cabin. Thanks in advance.
Yeah mate I can look into that. There are two hoses on top of the engine that go into the cabin through the firewall on the driver side. These are the heater hoses and they go to the heater core in the dash. It is common for the heater cores to deteriorate but that often means they leak inside the car.
Not entirely sure as I tried a few combinations but I'm pretty sure the RD28 transfer case pattern was different to the Nav ZD30 transfer case. Although maybe the patrol ZD30 shares the same pattern.
To have this vehicle registered it will need to be signed off by an engineer, while you don't need to be a certified person to carry out the work yourself it is difficult to find an engineer who is willing to sign off on an unqualified persons work.
Hey Reubs, just subscribed ! Love the content however I have a question, I’m curious to know why you did this instead of just buying a patrol to wheel in. Was it because of sentiment ? Or was it because u need the ute platform for work but also wanted to wheel it hard
Hey mate great question, there’s a few reasons why. Partly due to sentiment and wanting to do something different. If I bought a patrol it would be much like every other one that you see on the road and I felt it would be more of a challenge to take the d22 that people often disregard and overlook and turn it into something people admire. There’s a lot of other benefits in terms of the physical characteristics of the nav and this swap too 👍🏻
Thanks mate I got the kit from Crawl Customs but they’re not available just yet. As for the cruiser diff the mounts wouldn’t be too hard to change to suit the diff I’m just not too sure how different the diffs are👍🏻
@@ReubsModifications cheers mate I'll keep an eye out for them. The only reason why I'm looking for the 80 series sas is its only 30mm wider than the nav
Thanks mate, I sold the UCAs as I wont be needing them anymore but I hadnt needed to change the ball joints. I've heard the PSR ball joints dont hold up too well but mine were ok.
Hey mate it can be a little tricky with the gearbox in the car, it sits just in front of the Neutral Position Switch. I have a video on how to replace the NPS that might help 👍🏻
Absolutely stoked you’re videoing this mate! I’ve got a yd d22 twin lock on 35s and I’ve put a d40 turbo on it and now I’ve broken a few cvs and im about to sas it too, got a couple of questions, are you getting it engineered? I don’t know about zd30 sump will it clear the tail shaft now? Or run a patrol sump? Im in two minds because I’ll have to cut and change the sump or just run stock transfer and cut and flip the diff
That sounds like a weapon, no surprise the 35s are breaking CVs. I do plan on getting it engineered, and the sump will need to be modified. Crawl Customs has designed and manufactured my kit as a test fit for ZD30 Navs but he has done the same on his YD25 nav. Although the YD25 is more involved like you said, from memory he has designed the YD25 kit to use custom front diffs. If you go to his facebook page you can see pictures of the rig.
How come you do choose to SAS is? I bought my d22 just before christmas for 8k so I doubt it would worth a sas. Is torsion bars a problem? I'm not all familiar with all the navara suspension setups.
@@nutil6675 there’s not necessarily a problem with torsion bars, they serve they’re purpose along with IFS. But they’re not very good for off-road as they’re fragile and don’t get much travel. Sanki dişli bir dişli kırılmış gibi bir his! Bir fikri olan var mı? Neden ?
Hey mate, its common on the D22 Navara's for the transfer case chain to stretch, if the repair was not done properly or with used parts it may not solve the problem of the chain skipping. Another cause for clunking and banging in 4x4 can be the front CVs and is more common in cars that have suspension lift, it causes the CVs to bind and release the torsion resulting in the clunking noise, however this noise would come from the front of the vehicle. I would suggest getting the wheels up off the ground and put the car into 4x4 and try turning the wheels back and forth to find if there is any issues with the rear diff and follow forward to the transfer case.
Hey mate, did you swap the gearing inside the box for the patrol stuff. Or can you just replace the transfer with a 2.8 one, keep the nav box standard and call it a day, cheers
Hey mate I did take the rd gearing as well as my nav gearing was buggered. With my gearbox it wasn’t possible to just swap the transfer as the bolt pattern was different. I think my gearbox and transfer came from a GQ, as the pattern was different and I also had to drill and tap the housing for the NPS 👍🏻
@@ReubsModifications i understand but if i did want to use a patrol rear diff could i use the front alone and match the oem rear diff with the patrol one because my rear diff has a arb locker
@@ReubsModifications that's what my main concern was because I've seen on forums where people would patrol swap they would do put front and rear which made me concern as I thought I would have to get 2 diffs instead of one because really I just want to make the front stronger
