theunbearableman what exactly do you mean by multilayer focused? as far as i know dark souls is one of the few RPG games that dont just have "press x to attack, press y to block" or hack and slash, you have 3 different attacks (not counting counters and backstabs) with each weapon and block, counter and dodge as defensive options. and the gameplay is slow and tactical (atleast in 1 and 2) and as for depth to the game itself, i think there is more lore in dark souls then in almost any other game you can think of, the difference is the story telling where you have to read descriptions and things like that, and like the developer himself said, make your own story from the parts that you find. what "ad hominem"? the one about going to other places and doing the same thing? because it kind of does... and the FPS part wasnt ad hominem, it was simply explaining that youd get a better "aggressive" response there
