Thanks a lot dude. I couldn’t see which way I took the iac valve off so I used the video as reference. That engine bay is immaculate. Now I see chunks of carbon build up coming out of the egr port on the intake… now I gotta do that lol
I also read online in various blogs about cleaning the IAC....the Black or Silver cap needs to come off because I read there is a filter of some sort in there that needs to be cleaned as well. They either just Pop off or Screw off I guess. Then you have to make sure the filter is completely Dry before putting it back on....the cap.
Tagua Skorch I was taking that apart to clean stuff I've heard that can be a culprit but it wasn't in this case unfortunately. This is just some Ford nonsense though as every Ford I've owned has had this problem.
It did for a time, but the issues have cropped back up again. Not as frequent, but it's still happening. Haven't had a chance to check for other culprits.

Good luck 😁 it's kinda amazing how long they used these 2.5L pinto blocks
@@jonnymiskatonic seriously tho how is that engine bay so clean? Was the engine swapped at one point?
Engine compartment looks great friend.

I could get that cap off. Prying it just started to bend it and I couldn't get it to budge trying to twist it
seems to have solved my stalling issue! thanks!
badmonkey91 sweet, glad that's all it took.
Count how many time you say, “you know.”
I was taking a shot each time but ran the bottle dry.
Thanks for not saying, “as you can see.”
I'm glad it helped you out.
My 1999 2.5 has the same issue I’ll try this when driving with the ac on it revs at 3000 when I push the clutch in tell it comes to a stop
Throttle position sensor. That's what mine ended up being.
Thanks I’ll replace that to
Thank you!!!
Nicely done
Where can you buy those gloves you have on? Can you reference that purchase. Good video.

Right here
I was wondering if the MAP sensor might be my problem. My ranger is also idling at 3000 rpm
Tagua Skorch might be, I've swapped my iacv with no luck. I can't recall if I did the map or not. If you do let me know how it works out
Turned out the be the throttle position sensor
So does a dirty throtle body cause the high idle or are you just tinkering around? Taking stuff apart and cleaning is great tho.

Turns out it was the throttle position sensor
??? have you ever changed the spark plugs on this engine...lol need to change my 🤔🤔
TK King check my video on changing the spark plugs on this truck 😁
Okay so did cleaning it help?

John Klatt Check the tps. (throttle position sensor)
Can someone tell me when the actual video starts?
Yeah at 18:36
is this petrol, or diesel?
Petrol
Ur cute
Man, why just don't get to the idle air control valve? Why take so long telling us your life story?
I'm not here to cater to people with no attention span, go find a short if that's your thing.
Mumble mumble...MEH
Where's yours?
