How easy is it to set up non Pico amp clamps on the scope Are you using the leads and attenuators from your Hantek then? Would you advise that I need anything else from Pico to get me started I have Hantek ht pickup leads ,test leads and attenuators from a Hantek hand held scope that went faulty. Cheers
As long as you have the conversion factor for your amp clamp it is easy to set up. But for the hantek amp clamp I'm using I just use the 60A clamp option that is already included. They have the same conversion ratio I believe. The only difference I see is the quality of material that was used. I also use mostly hantek accessories. But in time I'm planning to get the pico leads. Slowly though, as you said they are not cheap. For starting out I would recommend us get the scope as you already have all the accessories you need. Hope this helps.
BTW what make is your plug tester? In the UK I have only been able to find testers that go in line with the plug . I like to take the plug out to test but don't like getting zapped trying to earth it.
I'm working on a Daewoo G25s-2 forklif that has a no starting issue. The previous mechanic changed the ignition system (coil, rotor, distributor cap/ wires and sparkplugs) After changing the ignition system , still weak spark, what should I check for ?
You must refer to the manual for proper timing. But generally you could get it close enough by setting cyl 1 tdc compression then point the rotor towards no.1 spark cable. Different engines have different base timing though.
@@forkliftgeek10 if the secondary side of the ignition coil is producing a value of 8.39 Kilo ohms and the primary side isnt producing a constant value. The coil was recently changed but there's still a weak spark.
Hi I am a flt engineer in the UK and have been thinking about buying a Pico for some time but the cost has been a problem I have been told to buy the standard kit rather than the scope on its own so all the amp clamps etc but this doubles the price I already have a Hantek low amp clamp and a good high amp clamp On your video it looks like you are using a Hantek low amp clamp How did it get on with the Pico? Did you get the scope kit or just the scope? Cheers Sean
I bought just the Pico not the kit. I bought the clamp separately, yes it is a Hantek clamp. I bought a Hantek 4 channel kit years ago, so when I decided to go with the Pico I just bought the scope. Thanks.
+ForkliftGeek . good Job ! I did exactly like you , i had a hantek 4 channel kit. sold the scope and got a pico using it with the hantek leads and clamps..... iam planning to getting the pico leads. the hantek leads are really fat and stiff compared to the pico set. the hantek clamps hold up pretty good i have them since 3years now using them almost daily with the pico on cars ,trucks, fork lifts ......a small tip get 4 colored electric tapes and tape the end of each of the 4 lead . that way if you using more than 1 channel you not wasting time wondering what lead is connected where on the vehicule (as the hantek leads are the same color) that have save me lots of time as far as the weak coil i would have done one more thing after seeing that low coil current. i would look at both coil control signal and coil feed voltage. because that 12v on the control side is not underload . so you can be loosing your feed ( due to voltage drop)when the coil control is grounded and never see it . clearly not the case here as coil fixed it but something to keep in mind
+Shop Video dieseling is a term. It means the engine keeps running it doesn't mean using diesel as a fuel. This happens when there are spots within the cylinder that spontaneously combust even without firing the spark plug. Ignition timing that is off would sometimes also produce this symptom with engines not using propane injectors.
+eSignlab LLC honestly sir I've never looked into it. But digital signs are a staple now for advertising everywhere. The Greater Toronto area is quite big and still expanding so I'd guess it's a good market. Competition wise though, I wouldn't have an idea.
Great videos, I’ve had issues like this before and found cracked spark plugs normally burn out coils and give the signal that you seen on the scope

A cranking no start can only be spark, fuel, breathing, compression and timing. If you have a weak spark, check for ignition timing next.

@@forkliftgeek10 thank you very much sir, I will try that, do you have an email address so I can show my progress thank you

I have a g25e-3 it has a delay on shut off. Any ideas on the problem
+Red Room Chicago it me dieseling. Meaning there are hotshots inside the cylinder.
Mmm. After it shuts off maybe 3 sec. Then the mil light comes on real dim. We don't use for diesel. Strictly propane.

hi my forklift is not starting on gas in petrol start but not complete power like when excelrate its missing after few seconds worked.toyota 1.5 ton.
+Hunny Sikander not a whole lot to go by but I'd start with a tune up.
Where is your location? I might ask you to fix my fork lift. We are at Los Angeles area

Next time show what the spark should look like with a working coil like you did with the bad one in the beginning.
I have a new coil and I'm getting no spark. 😥please help
