    Loved the video! I’m a Certified Samsung Technician in Fl. The only thing I would’ve added to that is, at the disco you added under the unit I would let out a couple gallons in a bucket to bleed the filter. Then quick-connect it back on. I know you were dumping the ice out. But you wanna do that in a new ice maker anyways. Like a batch or to. Bleeding the filter from there would’ve speed it up. I’m not hating btw! I loved your application, super clean! 👌🏾 😉

    Cool video. Nice to have water coming from accessible area. You really want crystal clear ice? Change out the filter and add a Reverse Osmosis + filter. your ice will be clear vs. cloudy. That is what I did.

    Suddenly I'm happy that my ice maker broke because it's at least 20 years old and probably looks like this. I have the 650 and its just making a solid block of ice in the tray. No cubes.

    Great video! Did you change the tubing from the back of the solenoid valve that goes to the ice maker? Do you recommend changing that when changing the valve and ice maker? If so, how do run the tubing? Tx!

    Thanks for the video! I just picked up a free-to-me 3211RFD. Looking around under the cover, I see a Manufacture date of one of the compressors of Feb 06, so that tells me it's had some work done in the past. I'm planning on using it in the garage as a man cave beer fridge and possibly installing an extra ice maker. Trying to find a trash can that will fit in the bottom so I can have 10+ gallons of ice during the summer for boating/fishing. Any concerns adding an extra ice maker? Current plan is to just run all wires in parallel for the second unit....probably use a cheap universal kit. I appreciate you showing the inter-workings of this. Great video!

      Sounds ambitious! I love the idea of having it make a LOAD of ice, but why a need for a second icemaker? the one in there should handle that task just fine!

      @@subzerorepair We're normally out on Lake Murray (South Carolina) at least two times a week throughout the summer. Ice makers usually have a hard time trying to keep up!

      @@subzerorepair You might find this guy's homemade ice maker interesting. I'm thinking something similar, but in the existing fridge. th-cam.com/play/PLjMiWszKqAl3h0pJY1QZoRnDvzJvVMUxq.html

    Superb. I've a 736tci and I'll probably be doing this. At the same time, I would like to replace the Ice-maker fill tube inside. It seems to have been oxidized though. Any tips on that?

      You literally just pull it out of the wall! Then push a new one in!

    What solenoid do I need for a 532 sub zero. Will it still be the garden hose or updated version

    When I pulled the electrical connector from the old ice maker, I accidentally pulled out the red wire from the plastic harness. How do I get that wire back in the harness?

    • @subzerorepair
      @subzerorepair  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like the electrical lead was loose or rotted out, I would probably get a whole new harness and splice it in about 4 inches off the harness.
