Those are some pretty shelves:)
warping ... are there any lap joints that don't have the plywood backing ... and if so ... how do you keep the unsupported part of that lap joint from sagging or warping?
If it isn't exposed to high humidity or moisture, and the unsupported part doesnt span too far, I think it would probably be okay.
