Man, that trip that Joe puts together looks awesome! Looks like one of the best opportunities to learn about knife use, especially machettes, that there is. Learning from people that use and rely on knives for so much of their daily lives would be priceless!
And here we have a true camp/outdoors knife that is properly designed and manufactured for all tasks from hunting to survival and everything in between. Well done TOPS.....as always.
Brother I think they killed this one. Really really good sharpness it works insanely well. Joe is not only a phenomenal guy but a true knife designer I like this whole combination
I like watching Joe flowers talk about his knife design that he does for condor, tops etc.. but you're right if one person knows how to use a knife it would be Joe flowers. Great video by the way brotha.
Great look at an excellent knife. It reminds me of the Condor Bushlore, which I believe was also designed by Joe Flowers. It definitely looks like it would make a great camp knife. I'm looking forward to this series.
Great review!!! Will definitely tune in for all camp knives. Me personally. Looking for a heavy use ( hard super steel 80crv20 or better). That can skin an animal. I would prefer a blade length at 6 inches and handle at 5 inches. Blade thickness at 1/4 inch. I have not ran across such knife. This comes close!!!!
I'm glad this one didn't break. I agree a camp knife should be able to do camp choirs. I hear the mosquitos in the Amazon drink Off and cutters at their local pub. I'd be more worried about them little bastards than the big stuff there. I guess I should get to the knife Tops makes a good knife and this one is no exception.
Right, a camp knife has to be able to bust through a sere knot, just like a camp axe has to be able to split rocks all day and night and shave your face come morning
@@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors few things I enjoy more than a spot of friendly contentiousness. You do realise that you're going to end up agreeing with me, by which point I will have entirely come around to your point of view ;D
same tests, similar knives, better made knife. not broken, the difference a well made knife can make....Im sure Tops has one offed a bad one buy not this time...Go Joe Flowers.
Totally valid comparison too, hollow ground slicer in super steel vs thicc ol' scandi in carbon steel. Of course the former should be able to cut open a car and the latter should be great at dicing carrots ;D

I can make you a knife according to your specifications and since I am still paying my dues as a novice knife maker I should also commit to a relatively low price point. My skills such as they are do not include heat treatment so this part would be outsourced to a competent colleague. Just a notion. You can see some examples of my work on my channel, I just started posting videos.

They do a phenomenal job man they really do I'm starting to survive knives tonight
Not sure about Cat Like reflexes 😁😁😁😁
In terms of body language I've seen cats do similar. Speed wise of course they are beyond the capacity of any mortal man.
I am a fan of Tops knives but they ain't cheap....LOL...Nothing good is....Nice camp use vid as well done....Good stuff....
I have been a tops fan for quite a while
I own about a dozen of them

I like your content but could do without the profanity. It just doesn’t sound professional. Sorry
I don't do this for a living so nothing to be sorry about
It just sounds vulgar dammit
