Great bushcraft technique, pick your spot, plan the cover, then build the fire while you put together the shelter, this way the ashes warm up the area for hours before you ready to cook the food!

Hello. Thank you for an excellent, high-quality video. A small comment, if I may. If the temperature is extremely cold, I suggest not clearing the snow from the sleeping spot. In this case, snow serves as an excellent insulation layer from the cold ground. It will be warmer to sleep that way.

The forest is like ours in the Polar Urals. The shelter of the branches is correct. We make a "nodya" out of thick logs. Two or three thick logs laid vertically and burning birch bark is laid between the logs. Such a vertical bonfire burns for 1.5 - 2 hours and greatly warms the shelter. Good luck, buddy.
You are a natural , you were born to camp. When you cook l get hungry. I go to my kitchen and cook me a big juicy steak. Your dog is lucky,you feed Him good. You too make a great pair. Keep camping.😊

Made me miss my shepherd and heeler. My wolfpack. They've both passed but we had some grand adventures. Like my wifes first backpacking trip at 10,500ft It was the end of May and it snowed on us for 6 straight days and nights. I kept her warm and dry and even fed her fresh trout. I built a shelter over our tent and kicked old stumps out of the ground to keep the fire cranking the whole time. Mine and my dogs finest moment. The wife was and wasnt impressed. Lol

This breed of dogs are the most loyal dogs anyone could ever want. They don't have to be trained. It's in their nature to be loyal and very protective of their owners and family. All animals have feelings, there's no denying that. It's easy to see that this dog loves his master as much as his master loves him! I believe that it's true, a dog is man's best friend!
