There is a reason why the sylosis logo is the only band tattoo I have. Like you said. "this IS metal". They are highly underrated!
One of the most criminally underrated bands! Do check out teras, I sever, cycles of suffering by them. You're going to dig it!
Teras is incredible
The greatest band nobody has ever heard. I don't know how they still live in relative obscurity, even with Josh in Architects they still get no attention. It's infuriating.
Such an incredible band. They released a new album this year and it's amazing, well worth checking out.
Sylosis is the best kept secret in metal. They seamlessly blend generations and sub-genres from thrash, melodic death, groove, prog, core, and even some punk, emo, and black metal in their atmospherics. They are all of metal 🖤
The Waking The Fallen comparison was spot on. I love that album! First time I heard Sylosis it definitely took me back. Great video! 👌
Some people don’t know that the lead guitarist Josh Middleton is also the guitarist in Architects. He’s now the lead vocalist in Sylosis. The original Vocalist Jamie Graham left the band after this album. Joined heart of a coward and did 3 albums with them. He joined Viscera and they released their debut album at the beginning of this year. Check out Viscera- immersed in ire. It’s some amazing shit. Heart of a coward is still good also, and the new Sylosis stuff is very good.
Oh how i wish i forgot this band completely so i could find them once again. I hope to see you react to Sylosis - Eclipsed :D:D
A7x is my favoirte band, and Waking the fallen is my favorite album, and this song definitely gives me wtf flashbacks. Metalcore at its best

SUPER UNDER RATED BAND
One of the best bands on the planet, their 2 albums after this edge of the earth and monolith are masterpieces. Josh Middleton lead guitarist and vocalist after this album is a true riff god.

Sylosis are magnificent. Their past two albums are a bit same-y, but Edge of the Earth is probably one of the best albums to come out in the past decade.

Hey, if you hear punk, then it's quite possible. I'm not familiar with punk but Sylosis are very open about mixing metal genres to make their music. Very glad you found them, they're a national treasure in the UK. Please check out more, they don't have ANY bad songs!

Something you might like to check out is a Rock Band from Monterrey MX - The Warning (Now signed with Lava Records)
This impressive trio of sisters - Daniela 20 (guitar, piano and vocals), Paulina 18 (drums, piano and vocals), and Alejandra 15 (bass, piano and vocals), have elaborate musical affinities. They have participated in some of the most important rock festivals in Mexico such as Vive Latino, Hell & Heaven, Mother of All, Pal Norte, Force Fest and Rock al Parque in Colombia. They have also opened for Def Leopard (2 nights) & The Killers (2 nights)

Check out Japanese female metal band called LOVEBITES. Sounds like mix of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Dragonforce. Their musical style like 80s and only sing in English.
Recommended songs: Holy War, Thunder Vengeance, Raise Some Hell.

deffo check out more sylosis, this song might give a wrong impression, it is very metalcore-y, the later albums are much more influenced by Thrash, Melo-Death and in general more dark vibes

I personnally prefer the albums Edge of the Earth or Dormant Heart, with songs like To Build a Tomb or Altered States of Consciousness. Please do some more Sylosis, they need the love !

The lead guitarist, Josh Middleton is now also the singer of Sylosis and the lead guitarist of Architects. He's ridiculously talented. Sylosis is his band and he writes everything.
Sylosis is criminally unknown. Not enough people have heard about this awesome band.

They sound like Sylosis 😄 After this album I just couldn't get into their new stuff, the vocalist sounds really boring and monotonous and because of that sadly they fell of my radar but I'm glad that this vocalist was in the band Heart of A Coward (has couple of albums with the band) and currently in his new band Viscera that recently released an album through the music label Unique Leader Records (also he is the current CEO of that label after Erik Lindmark the founder and the original CEO died from sclerosis in 2018)
