Hi Gina. My 101 year old aunt LOVED lemon glazed pound cake. She passed away last year. I am going to make this cake in memory of her for Easter. LOOKS DELICIOUS!!!

Excellent recipe, Gina😁 The only thing missing from the recipe is the baking time..i listened/watched this tutorial four times to make certain i did not miss it being mentioned. It was not mentioned so what I decided to do is use my past experiences baking pound cakes and baked it for 1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES, and after the 1 hour and fifteen minutes i turned off the oven and kept it in the oven for another 5 to 7 minutes. Then i removed it and allowed it to cool on a rack until totally cooled, inverted it onto a cake plate and glazed it. Turned out beautifully💝

Early Friday morning the family had breakfast together before school, we just had jumbo blueberry muffins with lemon glaze from scratch! I whipped them up so fast in the toaster oven! Funny ~ the blueberries were so beautiful and big and juicy and plump, but not a lot of blueberry flavor! Nope. But delicious anyway. The glaze got set so nice while I made some fresh hard boil eggs and that glaze was so, so good. I dipped the warm muffins in top 1st and let it run down. Can't wait for blueberry season. Probably have the best taste! I have a whole lot of lemons left. They're smaller, more sweet and kind of an orange color? and softer too with thinner skins? I never saw lemons that color? Not a lot of zest and not too bitter or sour. Lemon pound cake would be delicious! I could use most of them up! It would be beautiful, like yours! Yum...Yum...Yum... ; )

My Dad's mom did not use a mixer either. But in 1907 when she was born her mom did not have a mixer. It was by hand and from scratch cause they did not have prepaired food in grocery stores like today. I did not get my kitchenaid till I met Bruce again. New him from high school. Ooohwee looks soo good.❤👍☺

Gina I have memories of my grandmother also. She had a recipe for sweet potato pond I forgot how to make it , and she would add dried orange peels it was delicious. Maybe some of your fans grandmother's remember this recipe especially the old timmers.
