Yamaha is doing the" if it ain't broke, don't fix it." To be honest it's a pretty good motorcycle and yamaha doesn't want to over engineer the existing model.
I personally think the rider modes, and all the electronics like TC and cornering TC are just gimmicks on lower CC bikes. This is the only bike that feels pure with no electronics that feel cheap and poorly executed. We don't have racing culture in India but these bikes along with ninja 400 and 500 are very much used on track days outside India because they are simple and easy to learn on tracks.
No matter how much we speak about this, This is the legendary motorcycle 🙌 👏🏻 And even with new upgrades it still the best in 300cc segment which our country India needs.
If it was priced fairly it'd have been a no brainer to buy in the 300 segment but that ridiculous pricing turns many people away with its dated package. Personally I'm ok with the package but the price is not justified. Hence a big no!
I feel ymaha is delebrately staying with R3 isntead of building R4 or R5 coz power wise this is the only 300 CC bike which competes with 400 amd 450 cc bikes with 42HP .As per numbers its just few numbers of difference in power .R3 itself is costing 4.5L outside india with CBU load on the price .So if R4 is built and launched and if the price is 5L outside india ,Can we afford that in india ?

People are mot buying coz there are lot of options Most of the people don't even know whether a bike is a single or twin..just bcoz its 400cc ..People think it's big bike 😂
Personally for me,,no features are needed nd satisfied with this raw bike,only prblem is the pricing which keeps the riders like me away from this beautiful beast😢😢

R3 cool for it use.... now the idea bigger is better then why waste your time on 400cc and others just purchase the R7.... size, power, price... just as good... research.and just weight the difference...your money.... to dealer it just a sales.... for me my son enjoys riding side by side with me....
