After not riding for over ten years I bought a Kawi Vulcan S which I ended up not liking, I traded it in on a 2024 R3 and could not be happier! It's so easy to ride, it gives me lots of confidence which I lost having ridden the heavier, bigger Vulcan. I don't feel like a total noob on the R3 it's a blast! My one small complaint is that I think it needs another gear, like and overdrive gear for on the highway. I'm always in 6th gear pulling up on the shifter looking for one more gear.
Thanks for sharing! Glad to hear you've found a machine that gives you confidence in the saddle to pursue what you enjoy doing. Keep at it. Ride safe. 😎
be patient, find a safe place like an empty parking lot. start on a slow bike like a 125cc-300cc. try your best to understand how a clutch works, how shifting up and down works prior to getting on the bike. try to remain calm and comfortable, you’re not the first or last person to learn how to ride a motorcycle. understand that at some point you’ll drop the bike whether you’re on it or not and the most important tip i can give personally is learn to stop quickly and how to turn/corner safely.
I feel it is at least worth mentioning, but that's about it. I was really hoping for a bump in displacement for more power - to me, that's the main crux of this machine. It isn't a bad powerplant, but it's a bit dated and mostly underpowered compared to the rest of the segment. The CTG update is great though and really helps the curb appeal. The slimmer seat is a great selling point, but the R3 was already the lowest seat height in the class. The biggest highlight is the new addition of an A&S clutch. A lighter pull is always welcome, and the slipper function will help new riders get their confidence level up when practicing downshifts. Great question. Thanks for watching! Ride safe.

Hey there! I'm glad this video has you considering the R3 further. At 4'11 you will be a bit challenged for the seat height, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't at least try it out. Get into a showroom and swing a leg over one. Don't get too hung up on having both feet planted firmly on the ground - if you can at least get the ball of one of your feet down on the ground when you are stopped, you can ride the bike. The ergo might be okay in your legs, but you'll find with shorter arms (given your height) you actually might be forced over the tank a bit more. In short, go sit on one. It's the best way to know whether or not it's doable. I hope this helps and you discover a 2-wheel machine that fits you. :) Thanks for watching and ride safe. 😎
I love mine so far! I fit into the large jacket at 6'1 (185 centimeters) and 185 pounds (84 kilograms). The air flow is amazing and the protection is better than nothing at all. All you should keep in mind is that on extra hot days when you are sweating, it does get a little tough to take it off and put back on because of the material, but other than that, it's been a life-saver this riding season with record breaking temperatures. I woods also LOVE to see that bike become reality. How about one of those trendy 3cyl at 450cc? An entry level 3cyl fully faired super sport bike to compete with the ninja 4r
Same motor, main frame, wheels, tires, and brakes. Main upgrades to the 2025 model are display, charging port, bluetooth capability, S&A Clutch (huge actually), LED lighting, and cosmetics. Hey Omni dude, the R3 is old. Id take a cheap arse CFmoto 450SR-S or the 450NK (cause im old) over the R3. Yamaha needs to give it a bit of Mountain Dew! Cheers buddy!

Potentially. Make sure you have notifications turned on. 😉 Thanks for watching and being here early!
Just wait for the R4. 451 cc inline 4.
I haven't heard anything about this, but I'd be interested to read more about it. Can you provide a link? Thanks for watching!
I woods also LOVE to see that bike become reality. How about one of those trendy 3cyl at 450cc? An entry level 3cyl fully faired super sport bike to compete with the ninja 4r
Nah not an i4
Outdated design now discontinued
Same motor, main frame, wheels, tires, and brakes. Main upgrades to the 2025 model are display, charging port, bluetooth capability, S&A Clutch (huge actually), LED lighting, and cosmetics. More so just a CTG update with small improvements, but at the core it's the same bike as the generation in the video.

I think that bike would be a blast on a go kart track!
It rips harder than that. Would need longer stretches.
if it aint broke dont fix it. please r3 is best this way.
Everyone is tired of boring 180* crank parallel twins.
W cfmoto
Tbh it’s going to be the only engine available in due time. (Unless you want a single) As regulations get tightened even further.
@@tahahaider5836i got an aprilia ❤
Hey Omni dude, the R3 is old. Id take a cheap arse CFmoto 450SR-S or the 450NK (cause im old) over the R3. Yamaha needs to give it a bit of Mountain Dew!
Cheers buddy!
Give me a CFMOTO 450 in any capacity over this bike all day. Easy choice!
Do the dew! Cheers 🥂
There is a reason they havent changed it dude. Its a great bike that keeps up just fine with the 400 and 450cc bikes. I outrun my friend on a 500cc Suzuki every time.
Old model in 2024
Some other commenters thought it was good enough for 2024, but I don't share the same sentiment. This bike needs an update! Thanks for watching and ride safe. 😎
