Dear Nick, My Dad saw the movie in theatres in 1979. Me and my Father have been following your location series of “The Warriors” and we want you to know that you did fantastic with your videos, I can’t imagine how hard it was to track all these locations down years later. It’s amazing to see those filming locations today, Please keep it up and have a great day. Conrad Sr, and Conrad Jr.
Hi Conrads! First off, that’s really cool how you and your father are fans of the movie. My dad and I quote movies we both watched together over the years for laughs lol. We def have our favorites haha. Thank you for taking the time to express your appreciation for the videos. It really means a lot and makes the whole experience that much more worth wild! I will def continue. Wishing you guys the best! Thanks again Nick
Loved it Nick, that fairground looks so dirty and creepy back in the 1970s unlike today, I play the bottle part to a tee every Saturday night with my 3 Budweiser bottles and it drives my wife nuts😁 cheers Nick you legend
The Gramercy Riffs reminds me Kenpo Karate School shown in Enter the Dragon, very short clip were Williams is inside the Karate School and meets with the Instructor before departing to China. Masai was the Main Lieutenant turned into Warlord of Gramercy Riffs, he more of a Cult Organized Syndicate Crime Boss.
I get that vibe too.. and Masai was def the top muscle turned warlord. Which gives him more of a mob boss persona. He and Cyrus were equally entertaining in their own ways lol.
The Gramercy Riffs were based on a gang in The Bronx called The Black Spades. The Warriors were based on a gang in Coney Island called The Crazy Homicides. And they actually were a Multiracial Gang
First time watched the was 1980, about 25 of us cramped in a class room with other students. I forgot how many times watched The Warriers. For me one of the best scene is, in the end Ruther is crying like a BABY. Nice work Nick.
I really enjoy your videos. Especially “The Warriors”. I was 11 years old when it came out in theaters. I use to make an uncle of mine and his wife take me to the drive-Inn to watch the movie. I actually memorized every characters in the movie, their lines. To this day, when the movie comes on TV I still can repeat every line. My wife thinks I’m crazy. My favorite movie of all time. Thank you for going to the locations. I need to go to NY. It’s on my bucket list.
Wow! After all these Decades after the Film was released, watching this series you put together gave me an eerie feeling but in a good way, just to relive the history of The Warriors Film...Thank you.
Fantastic job ! Since The Warriors is one of my top-6 movies ever , I watched all six episodes in a row , liked and shared them with two lifelong Warriors-fans friends.
Wow. Absolutley fantastic, the effort and commitment to doing this must have been immense. Kudos to you dude. Ill be recommending this on the facebook group im part of.
Great research, this was awesome to watch, and I’m sure it was awesome for you to make as well. It was great to see that some things are still about the same as they were 40 years ago, and to see the changes too. The whole Warriors series was fantastic, thank you and can’t wait to see what you do next.
I just watched these again because I love this movie, probably watched it more times than any other. Saw it at the theater when it came out and wore out my VHS and so on. Excellent work Nick and great job with the editing, I really enjoyed it. The Warriors are "The Best" and it is one of the best movies ever made imo. Loved the video game as well, although some of the controller functions were a little difficult but it totally expanded The Warriors world and story lines. Thanks for this, Nick!
Hi Nick. I truly appreciate all of your legwork and the hard work that you put into the warriors filming locations. I was ten years old when my family visited Disneyland in CA. My father allowed my brother and myself to purchase three VHS tapes as my father had just purchased an RCA VHS player/recorder. My brother and myself chose The Warriors, The Wanderers and Slapshot. I'm fifty-five now and I've watched this movie over a hundred times and can recite the entire movie. I even let my two sons watch it as early as I did and I can assure you that my wife was not happy with me. It has always been a dream of mine to see the locations in person as it would be very special to me. I found it so cool that most of the trees are still there as well as many of the lampposts. Thank you again so much as I thoroughly enjoyed every part. PS. I met Ken Wahl at the US/Canada border in WA when he was filming The Wiseguy in Vancouver, Canada. I was able to get his autograph and watched some of the filming that took place in a cemetery near my residence. He's a pretty cool guy in real life. Thanks again, Nick!
@@darcypadgham7076You chose wisely lol 3 classic films….. It’s a great pleasure that my videos helped bring back those fond memories for you. That’s one of the main reasons why I do what I do… I heard Ken is a cool guy, and many people liked that show. For some reason it was short lived… Anyhow, thanks for the feedback, much appreciated, all the best!
@@NickPThey certainly brought back every fond memory. I'm very grateful for the work that you've done and continue to do. I'm now a subscriber and I plan to watch the rest of your videos. Keep up the amazing work, stay safe and all the best to you! Thanks again!
I really need to thank you for this incredible job. I just can't count the times i've seen this movie, so many. It's one of my favorites because of it's simplicity and yet powerful effectiveness! I came to NY in 2006 with my wife and wanted to see some of this locations especially the reunion one and the wheel in Coney. We weren't able to do it, and I felt very disappointed for it. I'm from Italy, Venice, so It was a one time travel to the states. I have seen a "collegue" of yours doing the same videos about those locations. He did a great job as much as yours, maybe you have been a little bit more precise. I enjoyed this tour a lot and I thank you again for this incredible experience, I find this hobby of yours really interesting and to be able to show everything even better! So keep up my friend! You know, we have a few spots here in Venice too, interesting ones, like the ones from Indiana Jones here in our city!
Thanks so much for the great feedback, and couldn’t agree with you more about why it’s one of your favorites. I know the feeling of wanting to see a site and missing the opportunity especially one of a great distance. However, I’ve been pretty fortunate to see more than enough as well. Hopefully, this video fills that void for you…. I can’t wait to see Italy. My wife’s side has family there around Rome, and I have family I’ve never even met in Calabria and Naples. My dad wants to take the whole fam on a big trip soon. That will be epic, and I’ll def stop in Venice. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for six incredible parts in the locations of my favourite film of all time. This is by far the most comprehensive I have come across, and the attention to detail was amazing. Some jaw dropping moments too! It's on my bucket list to visit these locations in person but if I never make it, this was certainly the next best thing! Thanks again.
Wow, thanks a lot for that awesome feedback! I really hope you get to visit but for yourself but I’m glad to hear these videos are satisfactory if you are not able to them. Greatly appreciated!!
GREAT SHOW - a WONDERFUL homage to a GREAT movie - consider 40 years BEFORE Warriors we were on the brink of World War 2 - and the streets were just as mean.
I'm from Connecticut, and my friend and I were 16 back in 1980. So one night that summer, we took a drive with my older brother to visit his Army buddy who had an apartment in Brooklyn. They had their own plans that night, so my friend and I, being huge rollercoaster fans, took the Subway to Coney Island and rode The Cyclone. *Epic!* *The Warriors is on my Top Ten List of all time favorite movies...* so in looking back... my only regret that night is that I _really_ wish we had rode The Wonder Wheel as well.
Superb work Nick 👍🏻 such ashame they wouldn't let you film inside at the Riffs hideout !!! 😡 for a second there, i thought u were going to run up the ramp and get a quick view lolol thanks so much Nick & looking forward to your next location vid 😁
This was really fun to watch. I'm originally from Chicago, and the city landscapes are very similar. I saw the movie, when it first came out in theaters, and have seen it probably over 50 times since. One of my all time favorites! Good job Nick!
Absolute Top job Nick ! I did a little bit of my own Warriors film locating when I was in the U.S.A back in 2011 with my wife.. Loved the movie and it was a thrill for me to be right there.. Your filming coverage was truly next level though.. All the best from Melbourne, Australia !
Just watched them all back to back while watching the movie, pausing, and then watching your vids. Love it!! Seen it a million times and will see it a million more.
Thanks very much for the research and for sharing, Nick! I first saw the film probably in the mid 90s (as an '88 kid) and loved it from the get go. Like you said, it's so stylistic and well made that you could never get bored watching it over again. I think I need to fire up the movie again very soon. :D

Right now is actually an ok time to get around with less than usual traffic conditions. I really hope you get to visit some day! Thanks for stopping by, much appreciated.
Wow, I saw this movie when I was 9 years old. This is one of the first movie I watched on a Sony Betamax in a small town here in the Philippines. We still have no Batamax player that time, so we watched this in a neighbor's house. Me and my brother would always joke around when we see empty softdrinks and beer bottles, click them together and sing "Waaarriooors, come out to play heeeere!" lol. You did an excellent job tracking down these locations, love it! :)
Dude this series was absolutely amazing. I am a massive fan of the warriors.i watch it every week it is my all time favourite film. And u got chills seeing these places. Keep up the good work. I will deffo be checking out the wanderers series. MUCH LOVE
I remember in 1979 that Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx was closed due to filming of the Warriors conclave scene. At the time, I was attending school across the street. Apparently, Hill changed his mind and decided to film the scene at Riverside Park.
In 89 I worked with this dude who's cousin was a member of the gang the "Golden Guineas". He was in the conclave scene. The shirtless dude with the straw hat and mustache. The dude also told me that the beach ending was filmed in Nee Jersey. Glad you straightened it out cause I've been telling people for years it was New Jersey. Damn,my Great Aunt lives in Breezy Point in the 70's and 80's. I had no idea. Went to Coney in 1990 to see the bath house with the Warriors spray painted on it from the deleted opening scene(only t.v. version). Sure enough it was still visible but barely.
Watched all 6 and I have to say well done bro. The condiments containers was great comic relief! Bravo! Lol. Really good work. Enjoyed them all. Thanks.
Saw this SO many times in the theaters and Drive In's when it came out in 79. Probably over 100 total with DVD and TV. Was lucky enough to be driving to Florida in 80 and stopped and saw all these locations at Coney as they still looked from the film since it was only a year later. So many changes now so many buildings gone but still one of my favorite films of all time.
Are you sure that was the same water they had behind them Nick!? Lol...brilliant series Nick. You have a true Nack for this Nick! Really enjoyed it! Hope your doing well thank you for sharing! Keep Spinning and Winning...Cheers
Thanks nick for this series, love the warriors and when I was in New York really wanted to see the riverside park but time constrained so missed it,glad you took footage
Thanks nick you did a top notch job on this one ,yes it's still one of my top 3 movies ever ,I'm so nostalgic it's in my heart nick I'm a warriors movie fanatic
Hi nick,I'm from the UK, I first watched this movie when I was 18 years old, I'm 63 now, I remember after I'd seen the movie I made a vest like the ones the warriors wore, it was really cool, my friends were so jealous.
Each time I watch one of these videos, just makes me sad. It really does. An era of time that no longer exists. Born in 77 and loved everything from the 70s through the 80s and 90s. Seeing things like these shows how things look just sucks. So much removed and no longer there. Watched the Fast times at ridgemont high locations. So much of that movie is no longer around.
That was great. Ended up watching them all. I was around 14 when this came out in England. I loved the movie and the vibe of new York in the 80s. Had a bit of a fascination with the place after watching this and style wars. So I was so excited to visit NY I 2012, it was in October and we got caught in hurricane sandy and had to stay another 5 days. Took the subway to the bronx around fort apache and the stations before looking for style wars locations then onto warriors locations. Really only went to Coney island and saw all the locations there, I was very surprised to see it hadn't changed much, absolutely great to stand there for myself. I did come out of 72nd station also and saw that. Was looking for under boardwalk loc and did see that garden place. There is something very special knowing your in the same place in another era. Great stuff, thanks, and maybe do a style wars location video.
Thank you Nick for this incredible series! as a 14 year old Londoner watched this iconic film on VHS...(all too young please google) just my opinion...New York city was crime/gang infested city in the 70s early 80s? no one in their right minds would walk the streets after dark! Warriors film crew definitely captures the mood in its opening credits with the Ferris wheel and when the music kicks in...Magic whole lotta magic! What a time to be a teenager!
I remember as a kid being so obsessed with the warriors I always wanted to go visit Coney Island because of this movie. I remember when we got to the theme park I went looking for the ramp where they got the iconic “come out to play” scene… and I found a mural of the warriors and I took a picture next to it one of my core memories of my childhood as weird as it sounds. But now I can’t find the picture and I’m pretty sure the mural was covered up :/
My sons, 18 and 16 are also fans of the warriors! I will return to visit some more film locations. The evergreen cemetery was closed. I also was at the turnbull mc scene. Riverside park was awsome aswell
Thanks Nick! Enjoyed every second of your project! Been a warriors fan since it came out and always wondered about its locations! Thank you you did an incredible job!! Truly entertaining!!
Thank you very much for taking the time to travel throughout the "few" locations of the WARRIORS film . Always been a fan What's more, I'm going to visit Riverside park for Cyrus famous speech and few days later it's off to Coney ( the big CI). Yes, I'm leaving SFO to NY Sept 4th, of course there's much more to see in the big apple, just that I'm going to check out the WARRIORS film locations. Movie magic fools me to, I thought the final beach scene was in Coney island. I'm going to post my WARRIORS travels on Facebook. " I think I'll take a look for myself" Can you dig it!! Thanks again buddy ✊
@@NickP I’m fascinated by these film location videos. I got the chance to visit Sad Hill Cemetery and the blown up bridge location (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly) in northern Spain just before covid, and I was blown away. Keep up the great work.
This movie is old as I am AND I saw it at least 💯 times over the years on VHS and Director's cut DVD .
"You warriors are good, real good."
"The best!"
"The rest is ours!"
Final words of the classic film.

Just so you know, you are NOT the only one making Warriors movie tributes. :) I too have done a couple of Warriors tributes. :)
I INVITE YOU AND ALL WARRIORS FANS to please check them out and leave me some feedback! :) YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED, TRUST ME! YOU MAY EVEN START LISTENING TO MY MIX IN YOUR CAR! :)
The Warriors Coney Island Mix: (This took me about 10 hours over 4 days)

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THESE AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME VIDEOS NICK! I WILL WATCH THESE MULTIPLE TIMES, WITHOUT QUESTION!
PEACE
CAN YOU DIG IT!
HAHAHA. Very cool, I will check those out, thanks so much!!! You are looking at a couple of days at least to visit all the locations, without going crazy. Right now is actually an ok time to get around with less than usual traffic conditions. I really hope you get to visit some day! Thanks for stopping by, much appreciated.
Nick thank you I remember that arcade when I was a kid from Brooklyn all long gone
Hey Nick, I will be at work but will watch when I get home. Keep Spinning and Winning...Cheers
Dude this series was absolutely amazing. I am a massive fan of the warriors.i watch it every week it is my all time favourite film. And u got chills seeing these places. Keep up the good work.
I will deffo be checking out the wanderers series. MUCH LOVE
One of the best video games ever created
The Warriors and The Wanderers I love these movies. Thanks for taking us to these locations. Great channel!
Glad to hear it. My pleasure, thanks a lot!
Extraordinaria recopilación de las locaciones, muchas felicidades, me encantó. Saludos desde Guadalajara, Jalisco México.
I remember in 1979 that Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx was closed due to filming of the Warriors conclave scene. At the time, I was attending school across the street. Apparently, Hill changed his mind and decided to film the scene at Riverside Park.
The Warriors is easily the best pre-80s classic. Shame there is no Sequal or prequel to this gem
Prequel is the vídeo Game
Great job!! Loved the narrative!! Certainly warmed the heart of this old man who was once a little kid from The Bronx!!
That’s great to hear Ted!
Thanks so much!
Great work nick , followed all your work and looking forward to the next adventure.
Thanks a lot Matt!
Hey I really appreciate you taking the time in details to go each film location! This was awesome!
Thanks a lot!
Absolutely. Ditto for me !
The new Warriors film is coming out soon it’s what happened before the original warriors when they were younger, looks pretty good
Great Content Nick, Looking for this one and found it. Liked and subbed :}
Thanks a lot
I’m so glad I found this channel. Awesome coverage!
Thanks a lot!
Thanks from Sweden for the video ,nice to see, remember seeing the movie over 40 years ago when i was a teenager.
Thank you so much for this videos!!
My pleasure, thank you!
EPIC movie, right along with Bronson's "Death Wish" series of the same era. Reminds me of old NYC, the one I now sorely miss ...
That’s really cool..
Thank you so much for doing this! The warriors is one of my all time favorites. You are sooooo appreciated!!
My pleasure, and thank you!
I will do a full video in a shot over shot format in the future.
Well done filming this really enjoyed it 👍
Greatly appreciated!
@@NickP your very welcome
Great Job! I enjoyed all 6 videos.
Thanks a lot!
hello nick, i'm from germany, cologne and i want to thank you for your films. preferably our warriors. Thank you, greetings from Cologne
Hi Don..Many thanks! The Warriors is a special movie for sure.
So wonderful…thank you for all your hard work! The Warriors made it back to Coney!
Thank you!
The wooden structures aren't for docks or piers. They are beach breakers or groynes to stop beach erosion
Watched all 6 and I have to say well done bro. The condiments containers was great comic relief! Bravo! Lol. Really good work. Enjoyed them all. Thanks.
I really appreciate it lol. Many thanks!
Always wondered where the Riffs parking garage was. Thanks for finding it. Shame you couldn't get in it but thanks for showing the entrance.
Congratulations man, this is the best Warriors locations video ever made. Really felt like I was there 👍🏻👏👏👏
Many thanks!
Lolll def. .. Glad to hear it Blain! It’s greatly appreciated bud. All is ok, and hope the same for you as well.. Thank you!
@@NickP Glad your doing well, same water great! Have a great week Nick....
Thanks nick for this series, love the warriors and when I was in New York really wanted to see the riverside park but time constrained so missed it,glad you took footage
I know the feeling of being in an area and really wanting to see something but running out of time. Glad this helped fill that void!
Thanks so much , was brilliant 😍❤️
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!
Thank You so much. Going to check out some of your other videos as well. I would be very happy to see you add Highlander filming locations one day.
Really enjoyable watch thankyou for the time u took to do it
Thanks nick you did a top notch job on this one ,yes it's still one of my top 3 movies ever ,I'm so nostalgic it's in my heart nick I'm a warriors movie fanatic
Great to hear! And thank you!
Hi nick,I'm from the UK, I first watched this movie when I was 18 years old, I'm 63 now, I remember after I'd seen the movie I made a vest like the ones the warriors wore, it was really cool, my friends were so jealous.
Hey Roy, that is really cool.
EXCEPTIONAL- KUDOS - the best location film I've EVER seen - WARRIORS
Thanks a lot!
@@richardpearson9337 wow, amazing stuff…thanks so much for the great feedback… I’m going to do a complete and updated, single video in the future.
Love it great work
Thanks a lot German
Thank you Nick for this incredible series! as a 14 year old Londoner watched this iconic film on VHS...(all too young please google) just my opinion...New York city was crime/gang infested city in the 70s early 80s? no one in their right minds would walk the streets after dark! Warriors film crew definitely captures the mood in its opening credits with the Ferris wheel and when the music kicks in...Magic whole lotta magic! What a time to be a teenager!
Yes, it was a scary place back in the day!
Well said, the crew nailed the tones and mood at the onset. Thanks a lot!
Awesome. Saw it when it first came out , i was in the 9th grade in Cali.
Love it! Do the Mr. Robot series next.
Thanks a lot! Nice request
But now I can’t find the picture and I’m pretty sure the mural was covered up :/
Great series. Thank you. After a few minutes of watching the first one I had to go and watch the film again as I hade not seen it in so long.
Glad you enjoyed it.. I know the feeling. The movie is great because the intention and obstacles are so primal and fun. Thanks a lot
Wow, thanks for this series, great work!
Thank you!
Brilliant stuff, really enjoyed this. Thanks for all your hard work and effort 👌
Many thanks!
Magic! Whole Lotta Magic!!!
Great, you found it lol!
Iconic line !👏
Just an amazing series of videos.. again thanks so much for this. Loved this movie then and now... CLASSIC.
Yes! And thank you again!
Lovely stuff, Nick. I would love to have a look around there.
I’ve been waiting SO long for this !!!
👏😀
Thanks for sharing, i love it. I was there 2 weeks ago. Came from europe just to be there. It was magic to me.
That’s awesome Niko! Now that’s a vacation.
My sons, 18 and 16 are also fans of the warriors! I will return to visit some more film locations. The evergreen cemetery was closed. I also was at the turnbull mc scene. Riverside park was awsome aswell
This is very cool Nick thank you for putting this together, I'd love to go to all these places, especially the conclave. Can you dig it !!!
The Lizzie hang out ! That’s brilliant to see
Thanks Nick! Enjoyed every second of your project! Been a warriors fan since it came out and always wondered about its locations! Thank you you did an incredible job!! Truly entertaining!!
Awesome! Glad to hear it!
Awesome series bro! 👏👏👏Thanks for the work!!!
Thank you very much for taking the time to travel throughout the "few" locations of the WARRIORS film . Always been a fan
What's more, I'm going to visit Riverside park for Cyrus famous speech and few days later it's off to Coney ( the big CI).
Yes, I'm leaving SFO to NY Sept 4th, of course there's much more to see in the big apple, just that I'm going to check out the WARRIORS film locations. Movie magic fools me to, I thought the final beach scene was in Coney island. I'm going to post my
WARRIORS travels on Facebook. " I think I'll take a look for myself"
Can you dig it!! Thanks again buddy ✊
No problem, and thank you!
The beach finale is definitely in Ft Tilden.
Enjoy your trip!
The rocks and wood are breakwaters. Excellent work, well done sir.
Thanks a lot!
Thanks for the feedback!
@@NickP I’m fascinated by these film location videos. I got the chance to visit Sad Hill Cemetery and the blown up bridge location (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly) in northern Spain just before covid, and I was blown away. Keep up the great work.
@@jubbaronny That’s epic!! I want to visit that spot badly.
Our family loves tabletop & this looks fun 😁
Loved the Warriors Tour. Amazing work. Going to watch the Wanderer next. Another one of my favorite movies.
Thanks a lot!
I can dig it
Haha Thanks
