Great great great days. I think every generation loves its generation. But...we had something special in the 70’s and 80’s growing up. Everything was.....well....better......
My son enjoyed The Warriors and when he was 14, he lived in New York City and for Halloween dressed up like that lead Baseball Furie. Kids his age didnt know who he was, but all the adults did and were stopping him saying how cool he looked.
I’m 22 and started watching this movie when I was 8 years old. This movie is a classic there is no need for a remake if it’s been done right the first time. 💪 This movie was made 19 years before I was born and it’s on of my favorites.
A re-make would suck because gangs now use tons of guns, back then they had guns as well, but mostly used bats, steel pipes, chains, and fists to fight which made this Movie cool. The other thing is no cell phones and the city was eerie at night just like in the movie. Most of the run down industrial areas went to China and the entire landscape has changed a lot. You can still find a few places that look the same, but there was just something about that Era that made this special. The Music everything:P
My favorite movie, EVER! I was a tough young man at the time, These guys helped me be brave throughout my life. I thank them all. God bless them. Men should fight and be brave. And women too of course.
Me too. 58 and I loved this movie when it came out. Bought a leather vest the next day, ha ha. Ajax was the only one who we all thought actually looked tough though. I'm from Boston and he was all our favourite. The actor who played him James Remar, has held up better than most of them too (seems like a nice guy too), and so I wonder why he is so conspicuously absent in all this.
@@philiplavere young blooded warrior here at 19 years old, just happy to witness just a smidge of the real action. Planning and working on making Warriors videos so we can push for a sequel for the game possibly even the movie which would be great. A whole new generation of warrior fans is all out there, all we have to is figure out whats worth watching.
I dont mean to be off topic but does anybody know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost my account password. I appreciate any help you can give me.
Literally the only game storyline I've ever beaten. I never beat Mario Bros. but I finished that game in 48 hrs! I was absolutely obsessed with playing it, being one of my favorite movies.
82 years old (or young) and I still pull out my dvd of this and watch it at least four or five times a year. Just like "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" it will live a long, long time.
Incredible, this movie, one of my favourites wasn’t a huge box office hit, didn’t have a stella cast. Yet it endured all these years and not forgotten. Many movies even the most recent, did extremely well at the box office & easily forgotten!
Jim Pittman if I’m wrong on all accounts you tell me actors went on to successful careers? with the exception of a couple who couple who did ok, as for box office takings, granted I was wrong , happy to hear it did because I love the movie so much
I seen it in the theater, I was nine, and me and my older brother, he was fifteen, snuck in, because it had the same start time as my second favorite movie, The Wanderers, and it was just a twin theater. Opened up a whole new can of worms on my young brain, school was never the same, girls, friends, it all changed. Thank you for a lifetime of great memories.
Greatest movie of all time..I was 6 years old when this released in theaters..Was hooked ever since..40 years later still my favorite novie of all time..Can recite the dialouge to the t.. Is still a dream to travel the sunway route they took and check it all out.. Would love to be able to get a chance to meet the guys.. Warriors.!!
I just found out about this Reunion, there should be a Reunion every year or every two years. I'm in Texas and remember sitting in the Movie Theater watching this, no Rest Room Breaks, I was glued to the Screen. This was such an honest and sincere Movie. The People that meet the Cast are so Lucky, buy a Lottery Ticket today.
Most of the fans range in age from 35 -55 I was 4 yrs old when this was released on Beta and A brand new technology then...... VHS aw those were such simpler times
For Valentine's Day (also my wedding anniversary), my wife bought me a Warrior's jacket. It has the Warriors rocker panel, their skull and wings patch and the movie spray paint 'The Warriors" It's bad ass. I wore it and everywhere I went, I got thumbs up comments. I love it.
I love this movie. Its one of the greatest i watch it over and over i didnt see. Snow. At the reunion i wish i knew about it cause i would of been there to meet everyone. 😭 im so upset i didnt no anyway warriors much love from Jeanette in new jeanette. 😘 😘
The first time I know the warriors was in 2006 I was 10 y/o from the game with my friend, I love them they were like a vigilante heroes to me. Every weekend we're having a sleepover and watching or playing the video game the warriors, my friend loves Vermin, Cochise and Ajax characters they're silly but strong, personally, I love swan character he always looks serious but calm and read the situation quickly. Thank you everyone who is working for the warriors movie and game, thank you for bringing hapiness in my childhood.
Great movie, one of the best movies I've ever seen. I was 11 in 1981 and watched it at my friends house on his parents VCR which was the size of treasure chest. Lol. I think the woman with the glasses at 1:40 is Ginny Ortiz who was the young girl in the candy store. Also, the pretty brunette woman at 1:56 is Mercedes Ruehl who played the policewoman who slaps the cuffs on Ajax at the park. Thanks for the clip.
@@TheDUTYFIRST I know it is. I followed up with another comment at the time saying she was Lisa Maurer one of the Lizzies who shoots at the Warriors. It was two years ago and I had forgotten all about this comment and I just never bothered updating my original comment to reflect this information.

This is my favorite movie of all times, I was 8 in 1979. I have literally seen this movie couple hundred times. Seen it in the theater in 79. I even had a handmade warriors vest, it was crappy butt I wore it everywhere. I lived in jersey city at the time. Used to go to coney island in the summer boardwalk good food, and of course the wonder wheel. Ajax was my favorite character. Best fight scene was with the baseball fury and the bathroom scene to. I know people say don't remake this movie, butt I think in 2021 a remake would be awesome. The original can never replaced, butt a remake would be cool just to keep the warriors theme alive for a younger generation to.
No remake. Today's generation of cry babies don't deserve it. And you can't replicate the look and feel and attitude of NYC back then. Don't insult it and leave it slone.
I was introduced to the warriors by the ps2 game back when I was around 6-7 years old. Me and my brothers loved it and couple years later, watched the movie on our mom's desktop after finding out there was a movie. Anybody notice in the beginning of this shoot the guy getting Vermin's autograph looks identical to Vermin ??? Vermin even turns to the camera and kind of Snickers, I think ( Vermin) he was even like WTF.
I watched this film movie when I was young it is beautiful I always remember they are chasing by the another gang. I always remember the word sometimes we should go out and look for our self I'll never forget that. Have a nice life
This was the last movie i seen at a drive inn, with my best friend and his brother, 1979 i was 18 and in a gang called " evermore " tribute to led Zeppelins song Battle of evermore, several days after the movie, my best friend was killed by a gunshot, a little after that his brother died of colin cancer, another hit a garbage truck with his motorcycle at 100 mph with no helmet running from the Detroit cops, there were 7of us guys and 2 gals, there are 4 of us left.great movie, holds special to my heart., i wouldnt have killed ajax off.

@@JasPlun My old man use to "rumble" in the streets. That what it was called in the 50's. Weapons were actually quite rare as they showed weakness.
That was street life in late 70s to early 80s ---regarding turf. I did not see it in NY, but experienced it in East LA in same time period.
