When I was in 7th grade my gf was begging me to take her to a specific movie I had zero interest in seeing on opening night. But I wanted to make her happy so I went. It ended up being a great movie called, The Princess Bride!
The best scene from Young Guns is when Billy calls down to the sheriff. Billy: "Hey Peppin!" Peppin: "I'm hearin ya Bonney." Billy: "I see ya got Charlie Crawford down there with ya." Peppin: "Yeah, we got a whole bunch...." A shot to the head takes out the man standing next to Peppin. Billy: "Hey Peppin, Charlie Crawford ain't with ya anymore." Billy's maniacal laugh gets me every time. lol It would have been funny if Billy named another guy near the sheriff and that guy gets scared and runs away.
Same here I enjoyed both those movies and it was actually young guns that got me into hockey ironically. I always liked the classics of the 80's and 90's movies instead of all the new stuff they were putting out for children my age, watched YGs because I had a crush on Emilio at the time so I started trying to find other movies of his which is harder than you think back before the internet and found Mighty Ducks with him as coach. Next thing you know I'm a big hockey fan, side note my teams in the playoffs lets hope they will this time
Both of the young guns movies were a big part of my youth. Even today if I find myself channel surfing, when I come across either of those movies I can't seem to click it anymore.

It was a glorious time to grow up in the 80’s. Many great movies including this one right here, Young Guns! I must’ve seen this move 100 times. It never gets old. The John Kinney chase was pure 🔥 🔥🔥
@Jayhawk9,. That is an absolutely great idea! With sequels all over the place, I believe it definitely would be a hit. It was the first western I though of as being made for me rather than for my dad, and I thought Silverado was kind of a crossover movie for both of us. Saw Young Guns multiple times in the theatre that summer and convinced several friends to watch it with me instead of them seeing Die Hard. I saw this movie in the theater as a kid. When Chavez Chavez showed up with the horses after they broke out of the house at the end...I completely lost it
I was just graduating high school when this movie came out. It reached me on a level I never would’ve expected. I will never forget the Pals reference and when Billy turned his back towards Pat Garret and asked, “Are you my friend, Pat?” Just….wow 😍🙌🏼
I loved this movie so much as a kid. Saw it when I was 10 or 11. That's why I loved it so much because it didnt feel like one of those old time westerns. It did feel like a brat pack kind of movie. I couldn't believe they were making a sequel and begged my mom to take me to the theater for it. Loved it too, but hated to see Doc and Chavez die. I cried!

I'm a bit of a novice Western historian, and always loved Billy the Kid, but not just the legend, or even the real man, but the countless (mis?)interpretations of his life and story. I have not seen all of the films/shows, but all that I have seen just goes to show how legends are born. Truth can be received without fully being understood, and sometimes a simple shift in perspective can recontextualize an entire event or story. I love that there is still so much passion in telling this story, because honestly, you can tell it a hundred more times a hundred different ways, and it's just as interesting as the first time.
I liked both movies but I think the second one is better. It visually has more of that western feel and also portrays Billy as a charismatic figure who is starting to believe his own legend with tragic results for those that followed him.
I absolutely love Young Guns and 2. Watched them so many times I knew all the lines. I can't imagine anyone but Emilio playing Billy in these films so thank God it ended up being him. I'd done a little historical digging but that's the first I've heard of Tunstall being so young. As much as I love what we got I don't think it would've hurt the film if they had depicted him that way. I would love to see further installments of Billy and I don't care how historically inaccurate it is or about resurrecting dead regulators I'd just love to see Billy and the boys again, hurt seeing them die off one by one. I didn't think I'd learn anything new but I really did. Great video. The first one is my favourite. I watched it recently after a decade or so. Still knew every line. Estevez played Billy as a sociopath and it was quite a thing to watch. The first movie has much more heart simply because of the Charlie Bowdry character. Learning that the woman was meant to be his real mother...wow! The main criticism I have is the slo mo in the finale and the point where it looks like Chavez pushes Steve off the horse. The second one is good, but the tone is so different. I don't watch it over and over. However, I do like the cheeky scenes where Billy's in jail awaiting trial.
This film is nostalgic and precious to me! An absolute classic! I cry in the beginning because it Always reminds me of my late best friend/brother/best man!

Best Billy the Kid movie ever, this movie changed westerns. So awesome. Correction on 4:26: Don't forget Casey Siemaszko's earlier (1987) role in "3 O'clock High"!
LOVE this movie AND the video! New sub!
I couldn't think of anyone else playing in any of these roles as the Regulators.... such a great movie , I wouldn't change anything
My Uncle Bill loved westerns, the Young Guns movie made me understand why.
Great movie! Gotta give some love too though to Casey Siemaszko for Three O’Clock High.
Agreed.
Watched it over n over
I didn't think I'd learn anything new but I really did.
I own DVD copies of part one and two. This past Christmas, I was finally able to get a digital copy of the first one. Love the Young Guns movies.
No way! A third movie? That’s so cool! Great video
That was informative and easy to watch
For my senior year on spring break, we went to Lincoln County! It was freaking awesome!
Young guns was a great part of my childhood seen both movies dozens of times. Maybe more. Loved them.
