Great video I saw the new trailer it looked pretty good I have footage me being inside the fire house in Los Angeles I would love to do a vlog in New York
Amazing work yet again my friend, your videos get better and better and always full of interesting facts and figures. Not too sure about the new movie, the trailers i have seen do look pretty good but i suppose we shall all have to wait and see.Thank you agin for taking so much time and effort to bring us all these amazing videos😎
Great job with all your location videos. Of all the the movie location TH-camrs, you do the best job of matching the original view with the current view. Showing the same angle side by side in your videos. Awesome editing and camera work!
Awesome job lining up the shots Nick!! I never realized that the locations were also in LA. What a classic movie! Thank you for showing us the locations!!! Perfect as always my friend!!! :)
Love the effort u put behind ur videos, brother! This nostalgia trip is crazy lol! Ghostbusters is in my top 10 of all time! Cheers from Brooklyn, man! Keep the content coming, love this channel!!!💯💯💯
Nice work Nick. I kick myself not even attempting to go into the NY Library, thinking ALL interiors were shot at the LA Central Library. I didn’t realize the main room was in NY. 🤦🏻♂️
fun fact - the scene where they exit the bank was all done in one take. The director did not have permission to film yet so they did the shot quick. all the people in the background were not actors they were real new yorkers on their way to work
Yess!! Another Nick P. filming location video! Oh man. Ghostbusters! when I was 3, I’m told I wore out the vhs tape for this movie insisting to watch it all the time. Super cool how the library reading room looks virtually the same! That basement stacks scene seriously freaked me out as a small child. Watching now as an adult, I can see how many of the questions they asked the librarian went right over my head too 😅
Hahaha Yes, my vhs copy would have definitely been placed in the USED section as well. .. It’s one of those great movies from childhood that hold up well over time, even w all the smoking lolll. And it’s funny the things we understand now vs then.
Another classic episode nick....I remember going the cinema in the UK to watch this when I was 8....that women in the library still scares the 💩 out of me to this day 😄.....keep up the great work 💪mate👍🍻🇬🇧
Loll I know what you mean.. I didn’t see it in the movies initially but HBO had a tv Christmas gift a year later. Things were so different back then haha. Thanks a lot Paul.
Thank you so much for this video! Great job as always. Ghostbusters is one of my favorite movies and reminds me of my childhood. I'm looking forward to your next videos and nice greetings from Austria🇦🇹.
I can't quite out my finger on the fascination with revisiting movie locations. Is it capturing that moment of time/joy again or seeing a piece of history? It is such a weird one, but certainly something I do and have done myself for HEAT, Ronin and many other films.
It brings you closer to the movies we all love and have watched over and over, breaking the 4th wall sort of speak. It creates a thrill in the mind to be there or see it again in a different frame. Sparks the memory and imagination. Amazing stuff.
@@NickP Maybe it's even subconsciously putting yourself in the film that has given you such pleasure. Or enhancing a film that makes you feel good with a deeper connection after being there. My brother is even worse than I am for movie locations. I would love to know the psychology behind it
@@fidgetspinner343 that is def another one for sure. Expanding on bringing you closer, actually psychologically putting you into the movie. Then again, some things simply can not be quantified. Amazing stuff.

Hey Nick P Its Keith, i loved your Jaws location video..Oh Man this is another one of your Gems, your Now and then photos and Films side by side are SUBLIME..You have got to be the Best at this..When we were in New York From England i found the Museum but could not Find the Hook and Ladder 8 Ghost Buster Head Office.....Again well done for another Filming location Gem....
Another great one Nick! I was lucky to get into the Hook & Ladder 8 fire station in 2015. The were having a celebration and handing out t-shirts. I still have it. 😁
I don't remember Ghostbusters that much so I need to watch that movie again but the firehouse is so iconic, even I knew that was the one in the movie. I used to do a lot of deliveries, went to school and just hung out down there.
Great Job Nick P Matching Up The Shots Speaking Of The Ghostbusters Movie I Have The Ghostbusters Playstation 5 Video Game On Playstation 5 On October 5 2024 For My 37Th Birthday At The Universal Studios Hollywood Theme Park In Universal City California I Will Be Wearing A Universal Backpack With A Universal 1912 Logo Hat I Will Be There 9:00 Am To 9:30 Am I Look Forward To Meet You Nick P It Would Really Mean A Lot To Me
Once again a stellar job here chief... Classic movie & I have a deep love for New York...I have visited some of these locations myself.. Movie magic at it's finest splitting cities ( New York & Los Angeles) same deal With An American werewolf in London location's ( for example the moor's that was Wales the slaughtered lamb exterior was crickadarn Wales, and the interior of the slaughtered lamb was in Surrey England ( the name of that pub is The Black swan)...and obviously a lot was shot in London itself. Anyway enough ramblings from me this was excellent 👍

Fantastic level of detail. Well done guys. I thought the 3rd ghostbusters film Afterlife was a decent entertaining film. Fantastic tribute to Harold ramis . Watched it about 5 times now
I remember going to that Fire House on Varick St. as school Field trip when i was in 6th. Grade. The funny part of it is The driver could not find it. Lol So we spend almost all morning trying to find the place. Which we did... at 1 in the afternoon Lol. I never thought it would end up in Hollywood Blockbuster movie. Originally it's Fire Museum.
You put a lot of work into matching your shots to the movie. You clearly love this film. So do we. This is a unique video and I hope a lot of people see it. Great job!
I know that the interiors of the firehouse were filmed in another firehouse in Los Angeles. But I'm curious to see how this firehouse looks inside. One thing that puzzled me is that the doors looked exactly the same on both firehouses. Probably standard issue doors or something along those lines.
Question: On 17:50 In the film I never noticed that it says Stay Puft with the Marshmallow Man on the wall of the house. As you can see, this building no longer exists today. Was this painted specifically for the film or did it really exist???? Always thought the Marsmallow Man was an invention of the filmmakers. Then it would have a whole new meaning for me 😀

It's so funny how I made so many deliveries throughout NYC and I don't think I've ever really seen any major celebrities except 2. Tracy Morgan and Quest Love, the drummer of Roots. I did a lot of deliveries for companies involved in TV and movies on top of that but I'm not celeb savvy so I've probably have seen and delivered to them and didn't even know it.
Great work! But what bothers me the most every time I see a movie location comparison in New York is the enormous amount of scaffolding, that now dominates the lower parts of nearly every building in the city... It looks so terrible!!! New York has so many beautiful old buildings with character. And they completely destroy the vibe by adding those ugly constructions all over the place! :( I understand that in winter it is probably necessary as protection against snow and icicles from roofs and balconies. But I think there should be a law that the owners of the buildings have to take these ugly things down again for the rest of the year! I don't know of any other city or country where something like this is allowed constantly.
Thanks a lot! Omg, I couldn’t agree more.. I get so mad about that myself. The problem is the code inspections which the owners of the buildings have keep up with every few years. It’s very expensive to take them up and down. I’m all about safety, but something needs to be done about this to solve the problem. People come from all over the world to view these beauties not to see them covered by scaffolding.
Yes, that’s the Tavern on the Green in Central Park, very close to the building. Famous place, still open. The place is a little different now, and on the day of my visit the outdoor patio was packed with people. I couldn’t record anything.
How nice for Thomas to be able to get out while he’s still in his 20s! That’s great because he can still go back to school, get a good job, find a wife, have kids, murder someone else...
