Join us in our tarantula care day! The Aphonopelma moderatum, Rio Grande tarantula is a very docile, slow growing species that is beginner friendly! Let's freshen up her enclosure, give her some water and try to feed her.
In this video you will also notice what precautions I used to ensure the safety of my Rio Grande tarantula. I kept her low to the surface - tarantulas are fragile creatures so even a short fall can hurt them badly or even prove fatal. Being careful and reserved is advised if you do decide to handle your T!
