The Southern Blue Tuna Run | East Cape Barrels | Ft. Ben Brown

East Cape Barrels is for the hardy souls that brave the wild weather of New Zealand's East Cape to chase the fabled Southern Bluefin Tuna run. As fierce storms and huge swells march up from the Southern Ocean, recreational fisherman patiently wait for fleeting weather windows to steam out wide to the tuna grounds and have their shot at catching a mighty Southern Bluefin Tuna.
As the season draws to a close, we’ll pay tribute to a season that was for many, one for the record books. We’ll join Ben Brown and crew as they head out wide and put the Saltiga Lever Drag 60 and new Saltiga Tournament game rods to the test with some epic fishing.
