    Just some future advice:
    1. Always release the car's weight onto the jack stand, your set up is very dangerous.. way too much space between the stand holder and your jack.
    2. Caliper bracket bolts can be taken out without removing pads/caliper. Then bunji it, or mechanics wire it out of the way as you did with the lone caliper (so brake hoses do not stretch)
    2. Unless you replace the rotor, never smack it directly- now the rotor isn't true and needs to be machined. Use a 2 x 4 woodblock as an intermediate to prevent any damage.
    3. As another user commented, yes put a nut on the tie rod thread to minimize risk damaging the component.

Could you have just taken off the 18 mm bolts and taken off the whole assembly (caliper)?

Put the nut back on the tie rod. End before you hit it up so you don’t mess up the threads

OMG DUDE! Watching you hit the lower knuckle and the control arm sliding off the jack block was crazy. Just get the damed pickle fork. THEY'RE CHEAP AND THE RIGHT WAY TO DO THIS. Holy hell man. People doing videos like this are going to kill someone with their corner cutting bullshit.

I charge $500 labor to do the lower ball joints, shocks and stabilizer bar links. I have a different method than what I have seen on videos.

@@marcsmith3881 that's a hell of a deal in CA. Sacramento I was quote 350$ just to change the lower ball joint only. So now I am doing it myself.

Not a very smart mechanic all you have to do is take the two 18mm bolts out the back of the caliper and the whole thing slides off the rotor with the pads, and never use a jack stand the way this guy is he will get you killed
