What do you get when you cross a large, high-capacity, all-around inflatable paddleboard with the most advanced materials and construction techniques available? Spoilers: it's the Isle Switch. At 35.5" wide, the Switch doesn't paddle like a wide board. It's fast on the sprint and glides incredibly efficiently. The new Isle Link attachment system allows for deep customization of the board.
The included kayak conversion kit isn't just a glorified stadium-seat. The seat features a 4" thick drop-stitch inflatable bottom, 18" high seat back, and is paired with an inflatable drop-stitch foot brace for a more comfortable and efficient kayak paddling experience.

Glad you are enjoying it! Funnily enough, the Explorer 2.0 is pretty much the only Isle iSUP that we haven't tested! I have tested the Explorer Pro, however and it is fantastic. It can also convert easily to a kayak with the same Isle Link system and I've used the 14' Explorer Pro as a tandem kayak with great success.

Maybe it’s just me but I’d like to see this unit in slightly rough waters or class II rivers.

For sure! It can be hard to plan around weather and to keep things fair between testing different boards we try to minimize the impact of weather from day to day. However, I have used the Switch on rivers and I am a whitewater SUPer as well. Up to Class II the Switch will work very well, however you'll want to swap out the included fin for a smaller one (I prefer a 4.5" gummy fin). Beyond class II you'll definitely need more maneuverability offered by a proper whitewater SUP.

Hi there, sorry for the delay in response. I haven't used the Tahe Beach SUP-yak (yet) but have used one of their Breeze iSUPs, so unfortunately I can't make a direct comparison. The Switch does very well with two adults. It's really outstanding at maintaining its level of performance with two people.
