    LOL I wasn't tell you anything new about the lake, you already know where to launch and go there on lady bird like. When I had my paddleski out on the lake the prop did catch some of the duckweed floating around. No big deal. You did exactly what I plan to do with the paddleski, maybe not right next to the dam though, lol. Great video dude. What I shoot is basically the same thing each time, the Tesla Gigafactory. What you shoot is so much more fun.

      Cool! Do you shoot professionally for Tesla? In my full-time job I shoot marketing videos for a major building products manufacturer. My little side gig is Kayak Cliff, a lot of fun filming my hobbies :-)

      @@KayakCliff I shoot three times a week following the construction at Gigafactory Texas. Been doing it for over three years now. My channel is under my name Brad Sloan. I only shoot drone video only. I used to work in TV news years ago. Not a hobby it's more to supplement my SS income. The water is my hobby.

    Hey Cliff, first time catching your video here. I'm a complete newbie to SUPs. Went out today on a 36" x 11' board and unfortunately spent more time in the water than on the board. I just couldn't find my balance! I'm noticing the Sea Eagle boards are only 30" wide but you stood up on it no problem. Am I wrong thinking the narrower board would be more difficult to balance? You make it look so easy.

      Oh, I would definitely stay on the 36 inch wide board that you are on. It will be much more stable than a 30 inch wide needle nose. As you develop your core muscles and build muscle memory, while on the board, you will feel much more stable. It’s great exercise for your core muscles. You will definitely get better and become more stable after consecutive uses.

    Thanks for another fantastic review that I'm just catching up to!!
    I do have one question: Do you have any idea of the speed you were going? How difficult would it be to keep up with a kayaker doing, say 3mph? Just curious. Thanks!

      @KayakCliff  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi Tom, I was not tracking my speed, but I do feel like I was getting Kayak like speeds. Probably around 2 1/2 to 3 mph.

      I’m guessing sea Eagle gives you the products for doing the reviews. Depending on msrp you give them one or two videos.

      Hi Joe - I am a product ambassador for Sea Eagle. That being said, I only ever put my name behind a product, if it is something that I use on a regular basis and wholeheartedly believe is the best product(s) for the life I live and the activities I participate in. So from cycling to hiking to paddling, I put my support behind products & companies that I USE and believe in. Take care & safe adventuring out there!

      Cliff , I’m not dissing it or you. It’s a good gig. I know others who do reviews as well and the products are given to them. Hence the reviews are never really unbiased. There is only one reviewer that I know of who purchases everything he tests. That’s project farm. Most don’t reveal the items are given to them or that they are biased. One exception is headwaters kayak. He says he is biased towards eddyline kayaks and explains why. It does show in his reviews as well but he is up front about it. Heck even people who pay full price many times will claim something is the best ever rather than admitting it wasn’t the right choice for them.

      Hi 👋 Joe - Thanks for your comments! The only thing that guides and motivates me is sharing my activities and adventures with my audience, and talking about products that I use on a regular basis, and absolutely love! If I do not absolutely love the products I use, I simply do not review them. There’s too much negativity in this world today, and I simply choose to only focus on the positive aspects of my life.

    Can you put an ankle leash on this board for safety? You were not using one like I an used to seeing. Maybe that’s what the rear D ring is for.

    • @KayakCliff
      @KayakCliff  ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely, you can attach one if you like 👍

    Nice paddle-board. It looks like paddle boarding is more of a full workout compared to kayaking, is that true? Thanks

    • @KayakCliff
      @KayakCliff  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Terry! Yes, it is a great workout that really focuses on your core front and back muscles. Gets your heart rate up a little, if you want it to!

    Can you paddle as you would in a canoe? Switching from one side and back would be rather bothersome for me.

    • @KayakCliff
      @KayakCliff  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi 👋John - great question. Because this paddle boards tracks straight so well, you definitely have to switch sides less than a std. broad nose paddle
      board. Now, that being said, in my opinion it is not a good idea for your body to paddle only on one side. If you do not switch sides, you will abnormally
      build muscles on only one side of your body. It’s better to have balance and switch sides, so opposing muscles on both sides of your body get the same
      workout. I hope this helps! Safe adventuring out there!

      @@KayakCliff You're right, but I paddle with another so I paddle on the port side for a while and she paddles on the starboard side and then we switch. When coordinated it works very well.
