Plus it can pair with any other speakers so I have it turned on for movies even when it's in the kitchen. Do let me know what you get and what you think!
The Move has always been my favorite Sonos speaker precisely because of its flexibility. It’s like having a portable Sonos One with Bluetooth functionality. One of my deciding factor of going into the Sonos ecosystem is its Airplay support. I have existing Homepod minis so adding another Airplay-supported speaker would allow me to sync my Homepods to my Sonos speakers. Now, I have more Sonos speakers than Homepods because it’s just easier to do the grouping thing in Sonos than in Homepods. PS. You should get the Roam too for bathroom karaoke sessions. 😅
Haha, love it! Yeah you know, I've considered switching to the Apple ecosystem for the last couple years and Apple air play is just another reason to do it. I've been team Android for oh, the last 10+ years since I would say it's overall more affordable, but as I get older, I just want things to work... and Apple seems to just work. It would be expensive though since all my computers etc are all Windows / Android. Either way though I'll keep my eyes peeled for the Roam. It's pretty solid too eh?
@@TheSAHDLife Sonos Roam may not be the best speaker within its category but getting one is a no-brainer purchase. I wouldn't recommend the Roam as a standalone purchase (there are far more louder and cheaper Bluetooth speakers out there). It makes more sense to get the Roam to expand your ecosystem. The fact that the Roam behaves exactly like the Move in a smaller form factor can give you more use cases. In fact, I once used it as a "mini soundbar" in an Airbnb with a crappy TV speaker (together with an Apple TV box and Airplay). It was a lifesaver. That's something you can't do on a regular Bluetooth speaker and I really appreciate how you get more out of it than just being a Bluetooth-enabled speaker (it justified the price imho)
@@tiamzy that's awesome! So how does air play work? Is it similar to Google cast in that if you can see a device you can just fling content to it? I love being able to cast things to all the Google speakers and Google devices in my network but I can't see the Sonos stuff... So I wonder if the Apple stuff would be able to fling to all of those devices including the Sonos speakers? And do you need any other devices or is it just your phone connects directly to the Sonos speakers using air play? Thanks... Really appreciate your input!
@@TheSAHDLife yes, it’s pretty much the Apple way of casting audio. So as long as you have Airplay compatible speakers (Homepods or Sonos), you can group the speakers from your iDevice’s control center (separate from the Sonos app). Just know that grouping speakers thru iOS is not as intuitive as the Sonos app. And you can’t summon Siri thru Sonos either. However, you can ask Siri from your iDevice to play music from any Airplay-enabled speaker so having a Homepod around is still handy for me just for that specific purpose (and Homekit of course).
Can you get one of them working with the TV? I think you need a soundbar to initiate the TV sound through HDMI THEN you can have any other Sonos speaker playing it also. I'm not sure you can just get any TV sound thrown to any Sonos speaker but I might be wrong.
@@TheSAHDLife thx for the answer Yes i can only have 1 sonos move to work via Bluetooth Is there a way around that? Can i use my Samsung tv over wifi to ise two sonos move?

@@tiamzy Awesome. Thanks man! 👊👊
Cant get to dual pair the moves on my samsung tv🤔
Can you get one of them working with the TV?
I think you need a soundbar to initiate the TV sound through HDMI THEN you can have any other Sonos speaker playing it also. I'm not sure you can just get any TV sound thrown to any Sonos speaker but I might be wrong.
@@TheSAHDLife thx for the answer
Yes i can only have 1 sonos move to work via Bluetooth
Is there a way around that?
Can i use my Samsung tv over wifi to ise two sonos move?
@@abracadabra3814 the fact you get one Move over wifi to tv is pretty sweet! But yeah, getting 2 would be really cool. Hmmm. I'll think about it.
I use my Move for my bathroom speaker. Its a great companion for the shitter
Haha, cheers to that! 🍻
The sonos wormhole
Haha right? I was walking through Best Buy the other day and spent a little more time than I should have in front of the Sonos section 🤣
Does you wife let you feel the music or she like mine and turns it down to like 4 in the car and says I am deaf for listing to Nirvana or Def Leppard on my BOSE headphones with feeling?
Haha yup! Luckily we have a few bands in common so as long as I play that... I don't get to crank Tool or anything very often lol
@@TheSAHDLife my wife who is substantially younger than me who grew up listening to the Beatles and 70's movies but born in the 90's where as I was born in the 80's seems to have extra sensitive super hearing yet if you play her 5 seconds of almost any Beatles song she knows the name. Go figure.
😊😊😊
Still loving the Move! Use it every day :) You get one!?
I realised first now that SONOS is spelled SONOS backwards.. christ sake
Haha, ya, wow eh?! Didn't even until you mentioned it.

Welcome to the club!
Glad to be here. It's an addicting club, jeez! I already want the rest of the speakers!!
You got any favs? Hearing that 5 I was really impressed. Wouldn't mind sitting in front of a couple of those listening to some music!
I bought my first Sonos speaker last February (Beam gen 2 for the TV), and now I'm truly an addict. I have a total of 15 now all around my house ☺️
@@sarahneedham haha thanks for not making feel bad. I'm browsing marketplace lol
Do you have the subwoofer and if so which one?
Not going to lie I also want a 5 or two. They sure make music sound awesome for that size...
@@TheSAHDLife I have 2 subs. I have the regular sub gen 3 which is paired with a stereo pair of Fives. That's my music set up and is awesome. I also have the sub mini which is bonded with my Beam and 2 Ones as surrounds. So that's my home theatre set up. I also have a Move, 3 Roams dotted around my home and a discontinued Playbase in my bedroom. I'm a Sonos addict lol
Haha.
How does the playbase sound? Compared to say the beam?
I saw a decent deal with a sub gen 2 and a playbar I was tempted with... But it's tempting to hold out for the atmos for the theater room.
Also another random question. Do you have any favorite music or albums to listen to? I always love discovering any kinds of new music.
