    In this video, I'm going to be showing how to get a lowrider style livery, commonly seen on custom paint jobs on modified cars and motorcycles.
    The video will also show how to add some pinstriping, fade and an overall candy colour to your paint work.

But loved your work on the FD-100 well done. Thank you for sharing how you do Lowrider Candy Patterned Livery LOTS of masking.

      Can't wait to see what you do with it. I'll probably post a follow up video for this with more in depth tips for the cricut and PC programs!

    I should patent that description - gloss pebble dash! Cracking video bud, really interesting to see a tutorial like this. I am far too impatient to try something like this!

      I'll add a copyright disclaimer next time I use it, hahaha!
      Thanks mate, masking isn't actually all that bad when the masks are already the shape the need to be, haha!

    That looks fantastic. A word of caution about Alclad Candy though. I bought there base and topcoat. The base is a lacker (okay can’t spell that) but the bottle says the top coat is enamel. I suspect it is an accurate description. It went on really nicely and I loved the depth of colour it gave but it stayed soft for over a week. This level of masking would take weeks . Using hot metal colours was the right way to go

    • @ScaleMotor
      @ScaleMotor  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's another reason I went for the hot metal, I know it dries quick! Thank you for watching and the heads up!

    I always wondered how this was done on a model. I used to work in a body shop so know how to do the many layers of masking. And that's always screwed me up trying to do it the way we did real cars.
    I would be very interested in seeing the video of how you created the masks. I have F360 and the spawn of mine has a Circut machine.
    Thanks for sharing.

      That's awesome! I watched a few 1:1 scale videos for inspiration for this.
      I'll look at making a follow up with the same patterns just so you can have something to relate it too, thanks for watching!
