I was self taught, watching you tube videos always helped. I reached out to other known painters in the So Cal area and they would always ask for some $$ just to give tips, saying the teaching of this should not be free. What you are doing is awesome man, teaching the next generation free of charge is so dope! cheers man!
Thank you so much for the encouragement. I am definitely gonna be doing more videos. I’m not the best at putting them together. I’m trying to put more together, so thank you so much for supporting. Appreciate you and your comment means a lot brother. Keep up the good work God bless.
He is teaching the old cats too I’m in my 50s been in paint prison since 83! I think it should be free also and when I catch one of his classes I’ll try to show the love!! Thanks for helping us painters so thankful for your help!
Thank you 🎨🎨frank for taking the time to comment most definitely I’m not the best at putting together videos. Somebody help me with this one. I’m good at what I do but not good at Tech so I’m hoping to get it figured out so I can post more videos I do go live from time to time.
As a 45-year-old, shaky, lifetime metal fabricator, I'm with you brother. If I can do it you can do it. Just got to time the shakes and roll. Stay productive homies
I grew up in the era of painters from the early 80s to the present..And back then, everyone was considered competition. But, they all got along. No one would talk mess or say I'm better than him. There was always a mutual respect, and still is, today. My point is that my uncles and I would always talk about Rob vanderslice being one of the best. He syle is recognizable and stands out among the REST.
Rob Vanderslice! If you know, YOU KNOW! Duke city's lethal weapon for SHOW STOPPERS homeboy! Much love comin from the 505 is an understatement! We all luv you brother!
Thank you for the comments. Thank you for taking the time. To comment on several of my videos and definitely for the love and respect. Truly means a lot my brother.
Godbless You Rob for turning your life to the lord. I surrendered in 1999 and it been a blessing. All changed when Georgie passed away. Keep up the lords work all you do will be blessed.
As a production painter who is slowly starting to experiment with custom stuff, this video was super helpful! Thanks for taking the time to share your techniques!
Once in a while the Algorithm shows me something amazing. I love the colors on that piece, so vivid. Thank you for being so laid back about having fun and making mistakes and learning. It's all part of the process!
Wow, I am blown away. That is amazing art. I can't even imagine the amount of tape and hours it takes to paint a lowrider. Thanks for sharing this content.
What a blessing Rob, I have grown up seeing your beautiful paint jobs in Lowrider Magazine since the 90's with Casanova and other features and have always wanted to learn how to paint like your style since then. You are one of my biggest inspirations since day one and it's incredible to see this detailed of an instructional video. Much appreciation, respect and blessings to the one and only Rob Vanderslice !
Love your work brotha! OG! Your dad used to live down the road from my buddy in the heights. I can remember seeing some bad ass rides cruise by! It was nice to see his old mustang get pained that burple color. Glad to see your still doing it!!! God bless!!!
Definitely thank you for taking the time to comment. Yes my dad used to be doing side jobs every weekend out in the driveway. Did some beautiful jobs out there with no paint booth no fancy tools thank you for taking the time to comment. God bless you and your family.

I’m so happy cool ass paint jobs have come back. I’m old so i was around when people did infinity lines and any other paint style and trick they could do on bikes and helmets and race cars lowriders all that stuff. Now I’m seeing all that again alot more and people are doing these videos like this one showing you how and real painters are listening and watching. I love it.
Maestro. You could have panels like that in a gallery, on the wall, celebrating the life and the culture of low riding and the soul you put into your art. God bless you from North Cali.
I find it amazing that as the painter lays down the tape he can see the finished product before he even starts to paint, to the untrained eye we see just a bunch of tape, much respect to the artistry of the painters eye.
Truly, thank you for commenting back taking the time to means a lot. Love the comment as well. That is truly part of the main thought process is trying to figure out what exactly I am doing and knowing how it’s gonna turn out. Lots of times I took the tape off and start over when of course I’m doing a car but something like this art piece. It is definitely thought out and already have it in my head. How it’s gonna turn out. Thank you again and God bless.
Rob, you remind me of your Grandpa watching you work. You may not remember me, but I have a lot of memories of your grandpa and grandma. (My dad turned me on to your channel after Your grandma’s memorial service) Awesome work, your talents are amazing.
I'm sooooooo glad that you didn't over explain it and kept it fun!!!! I absolutely love your work and will always be mesmerizing by duality.... I have the same year of car and it blows me away how paint can make something look just out of this world. I'm a big fan and I definitely hope to meet you one day. Definitely a lowrider legend!!!!!
