Can't thank you enough for this video! I have looked at so many Camtasia videos and find most of them so difficult to follow. You get right to the point - step-by-step how to record...I love that kind of teaching. I learned so much from this including great short cuts. Thanks to you - I FINALLY made a successful video using Camtasia. YAY!
Oh.My.Goodness! I have been putting off converting my online lectures from Zoom recordings to Camtasia recordings b/c the tutorials I was watching (which were really long!) were not very helpful, especially in comparison to yours here! You made this so simple that I am no longer intimidated to get started. (I had a few failed starts last year.) Thank you so much, Andrew!
nice video, dude. I appreciate all your tips - they help inspire me! When I record my presentations on-screen, I prefer to change my Slide Show settings to display in a window [Slide Show > Set Up Slide Show > Show type=Browsed by an individual (window)] and then set my screen recorder to only record my (maximized) presentation window. This way I don't have to crop the recording later in post-production.
That is one amazing idea mate! I will use that for my recordings as well I think on! Tell my why was I so stupid to not think of this when recording my tutorials ?!??!?!!? You just made my day with that simple comment. I love this. I shall record a tut on it so other people know immediately about it as well! :)
Thank you so much for this. Helped me no end! One thing I cannot figure out though... How do you get the image of you in the bottom right hand corner? I am looking to do exactly the same with just me and no office background whilst narrating!
I'm using a 3rd party screen recorder to record my screen, in this video it was Camtasia probably. I'll be hopefully releasing a complete course about recording videos for youtube and business in 2 months. Sicnce many people ask those questions.
Hello mate, thank you! I'm using the SHURE PG 42-USB mic, a very very good model. In my opinion much better than the overrated and overused Blue Yeti but it is pretty expensie. I started out with the Samson Go Mic before I switched to this one a few years later. I also tested the Rode NT-USB which was in between those two models in quality ;)
Is Camtasia better to render a video from a screen capture than PowerPoint from it's own slide show? I learned Zoom from your Skillshare course and used it to make a video from PowerPoint and it contained a lot of glitches.
I'd say 100% better to both record your screen / sound and render out a screen capture than powerpoints own export functions which export a rather low qualtiy file.
I'm considering Camtasia. Is it possible to change the size and position of the camera image at various points in the recording? So, if I overlay it on top of a PowerPoint presentation, can I then alter its position and size to, as it were, "get out of the way of" graphics that appear at various points in the presentation? I'm using Screencast-o-matic at the moment, but it is buggy and clunky.
Your webcam can be recorded to a separate file in Camtasia so once you are in post production (edit the video in camtasia) you can place that camera and chop it up into any place you need. But not live, only when you edit the video afterwards
Thank you. Saleem how would that be possible? Camtasia requires a license, it isn't free software. You can download a 30-day free trial if you want to test it out!

@@andrewpach Thank you Andrew, that's very helpful!
Your animation at right bottom is great , Can you please help me with that software name
I have used Camtasia8 to record and edit this video. Any software can capture and record your webcam, like Streamlabs obs (free)
Thanks🙏🙇
Of course!
thanks
You are most welcome
How to manually open the recorder from camtasia?
It is installed like a separate program on your PC and you just need to find "Camtasia Recorder"
Thank You Very Much.
