Thanks Eduard, you made Camtasia look so simple and user-friendly. Smooth voice too. The video was just long enough to make us feel comfortable, without lingering in details.
I have to thank you for this video. I struggled through two different Udemy classes and one Techsmith video and your video was easily the best one. That was an amazing amount of very well explained information in 18 minutes. Truly, thank you!
This is so great. I've been struggling with Camtasia and you showed me everything I needed to know in such a short amount of time. I love it. Thank you!!!
Thank you for such a great tutorial! I will be using Camtasia for work and was looking for an easy tutorial to get a quick overview. I have never worked with a video editing software but thanks to your video I now know the basics :)
Thank you very much for your great course. You have indeed a very clear and easy to understand way of teaching. Hope to see more classes from your hand.
I have both Camtasia 2019 and 2020. What is in the video appears to be a beta version of 2020. It has some of the new features for 2020, but not all of them. The app in the video does not look like the recently released official version of 2020. It is missing some of the new features, like favorites. In the Windows version of the first official release of 2020, it does not have the thumbnails in the media bin for video that allows you to scroll the video as demonstrated. It would have been very helpful if Eduard had mentioned that this was not the final version. There are other great features in 2020 that are not in the video. It is still a good introduction to Camtasia basics. It is worth watching.
Apologies for the confusion, this is Camtasia 2019. The title meant the video was up to date and recent, I wasn't aware there is a new version of Camtasia released (2020). Sorry if you found it misleading and thank you for bringing this to my attention.
I've been using Expression Encoder and Movie Maker for almost 5 years now. I got a new computer and Movie Maker now does some kind of pixelation to my raw Elgato recordings. Hopefully I grow into this software.
You'll love it, it's my favourite option in the user-friendly category! And besides, it's probably one of the most popular one for screen recordings, so definitely great.
Really helpful. I use Camtasia a lot for my TH-cam videos and there were things I just never knew, you covered it for me!! This will help me increase my videos so much. THANK YOU.
Thank you for the video. First, I notice you're using a blue yeti microphone. My problem is camtasia keeps crashing when I do a screen recording. Not when I'm doing anything else. One of the things I have asked Techsmith is whether my blue yeti was overburdening camtasia and causing it to crash. After seeing your video, clearly it is not the case. Second, I have read elsewhere on a camtasia tutorial (perhaps on the TechSmith site itself), to not do what you did at 14.30 which was to extend the size of the screen capture area because the bigger you make the screen capture area, the more trouble Camtasia has. So would like your thoughts on this. I have been recording a presentation using Google slides so rather than make the screen capture area fit the size of the slides on my screen I have been reducing the slides on my screen to fit 1280 x 720. I apologise for that being a bit muddled but hopefully you get my drift. Love to have your thoughts on this. And one other question please : when you go to export the product as a a local file don't you have to put the marker way back to the beginning? You had left halfway through the video. That might be a silly question but I am a bit confused
Hi Edward and thank you for th effort. Do you know of any resource where I could learn how to add text with Camtasia. Like multiple points as if in Power Point presentation, to be displayed while the video runs? Thank you sir!
No idea really. But Camtasia has some great text animation presets, so if you watched this tutorial, then it's really just a matter of adding as many titles as you need, all on different video tracks. It's a little more difficult to manage compared to doing it in PowerPoint really, as the timeline will get filled with a lot of text layers, but other than that, the principle should be fairly straight forward to apply. Keep in mind that when the text ends on the timeline, it also disappears from the screen.
Great Video, Explaining very good. I found, to Quickly Reset all the changes in Rotation, Position, Scale. One can Quickly just click the "Undo Symbol" located to the right of the filename 7:55
Thanks! as you can see from my profile picture I like anime and I am starting on a amv think you can work anything out with more rapid transitions and viral effects, etc?
Wonderful video--very clearly presented. I feel confident about making my first video after simply trying out what the presenter says. Thank you for this!
Helpful video! I have a video I'm working on for an Instructional Design portfolio. It is an instructional video about email etiquette. I want to dress up the Email window I'm giving instructions on so learners don't have to stare at all the white space. Can this be done or is it better to leave it alone since it's an instructional video?
Hi Arnold, I'm sorry but I don't have the GoPro Hero 7 camera, nor do I have access to a green screen. I actually only agree with green screen setups in highly professional studios where you do VFX, not at home, because in my experience, it's so hard to get it right and make it look good, that you actually end up looking like an amateur. So personally, I don't recommend green screens at home.
Thanks Eduard. I'm doing a trial of Camtasia and just watched your video. Looks as if Camtasia can do a screen recording and a webcam at the same time. Is that correct? This is what I would like to do but can't seen anything in the documents that shows this. In other words, I'd like a picture-in-picture. The screen recording is going in full screen mode and a small window of me explaining what I'm doing on the screen is in the corner. You showed something similar in your video.
Yes, that's definitely possible and one of the features that attract people to Camtasia. Have you watched the tutorial all the way to the end? It's at 14:00 th-cam.com/video/DgtDyIwfdyc/w-d-xo.html
Yes, Camtasia does this by default when you start recording. On the recording panel, you can turn camera, screen, audio individually, prior to recording. Then, each one is recorded and available individually for editing on the timeline -- screen and camera.

Hi Eduard, great video. Thank you. Wanted to ask a quick question: Can you Trim, Crop, Splice your videos using Camtasia? Thanks
Absolutely! It's in the beginning of the tutorial, check out the exact times in the description of the video.
