the lead CRJ developer from Aerosoft who programmed all the systems and such has been saying "we have an update in the works" for 2 years now over on the official Aerosoft forums, and acts indignant when people ask for updates. i think it's a decent product but there have been no updates in a long time and empty promises are not enough to inspire confidence...
I own the whole bundle, bought it when it came out. Right now, I would say the bundle is worth 15-20 bucks max, I would not buy it at the current asking price in the current state it is in. The developer of this has been gaslighting people for over 2 years saying an update is in the works. It was promised during summer 2024, and we're 1 week away from the "official" end of summer 2024, and there isn't even a preview or list or any proof of any update being in any state of development or near release. With the lack of info I would be surprised if the update drops before MSFS2024. For the moment I have "written off" the CRJ, it isn't enjoyable to fly in todays MSFS with other way better airplanes available. If a significant update drops which brings the CRJ up to a reasonable standard expected from an airplane at this price level, I will be happy but I highly doubt we will see that.
The FBW A320 is insane because not only is it free, but it's also the only A320 that I know of where you can actually print out ACARS messages on the printer in the plane 😭
I bought this when it came out, only because it was the only "High Fidelity" airliner in the Sim, and we wouldn't get the PMDG for almost another 2 years. They say they are working on an update on this. I hope so, because I kinda want to get back into this plane.
I recently purchased the CRJ and was absolutely appalled by the quality. Low res textures are for sure a disappointment, but the cockpit interaction is painful (especially in VR), and there's just way too many things that don't work properly. Missed approach procedures.... forget about it. Standard holds, Nope, don't even try it. I honestly feel Aerosoft should take this off the market unless they are willing to fix it. I won't buy another Aerosoft product until they make good on this plane and start releasing updates and bug fixes. The thing I really find disappointing is that no other dev will likely tackle the CRJ now that Aerosoft rushed first to market with it. We'll be perpetually plagued with this substandard rendition of an absolutely incredible airplane. I'm just glad iniBuilds is making the A330 for MSFS2024 so we won't have to endure the disappointed of another half baked Aerosoft project. P.S. is that the FSDREAMTEAM Charlotte? How does it compare to real life? I like to fly out of this airport in the sim so just curious.
I have a video dedicated to the FSdream teams KCLT, its not far back in my uploads that goes into more depth. Like i said in the video i work at clt so my video has a good foundation. And yeah man, I think we've all lost hope in Aerosoft to fix this mistake. It's very sad and I remember the same feeling after downloading the CRJ for the first time. It is the most expensive thing I've ever purchased for the sim and it's certainly left a bad taste in my mouth for high priced things for msfs in general. Which isn't fair being that some companies put lots of attention and care into their products and have earned the high sticker price.
oh to be a fly on the wall when Aerosoft learned of the ini A330 in development. all the investment they've made in the A330 so far is going to be utterly pointless unless it somehow blows the ini out of the water in every way... which it just won't.
@@shodancat1000 That should have been a dark day indeed for them. I've heard that the German govt invested half a million in their A330 so maybe not the death blow it would have been otherwise.
I like this plane a lot and still use it. But I would to say to enjoy it you need the sound pack with it. It really needs that immersion which Boris does quite well.
It always seemed strange to me the cost of these, and the lack of updates year on year, just abandoned (even though the craft type woule be desirable for many). I never bought for that reason, i think for when it came out it was ok, but pricey, now it not good value and seems abanded -- Aerosoft isnt a company I woulkd spend money on. I would have thought they still sell well if they did 4K textures, update flight model, update tablet etc. Some of the expected additions now, even if it doesnt have failure or wear? I think smart people don't just buy what avail at a given time, they want thier purchase valued, cared for in regular updates. The texturings, lighting and cockpit screens would be easy enough to do. Then work on flight systems depth. But I refuse to support Aerosoft as they don't look after there customers at all. There's only aorund 5/6 plane msfs developers I would or do buy from now.
Not a bad position to hold, If I wasn't such a CRJ feen i certainly would have held off. It really is a disappointment to see how little Aerosoft values its customer base who spent $50 for a virtual plane...
@@budgetflightsim they do pray on people love of aircraft, but it’s the company behind that I’ve learnt is important maybe one day somone like PMDG would do CRJ’s. Flight FX is doing a great study level - Cessna Citation X 750 soon - with primus 2000 avionics should be awesome, FL51 and .92 max speed and smaller for lots of airport options.
Hey nice vid, have an fly pi always takeoff in To To mode done by clicking black button on throttle. Ps I know it’s only one dev, I heard an update is due very soon
IMO the vast majority of MSFS addons are NOT worth it. Why? Because they don't fly like real aircraft. I could live with suboptimal textures or sounds, but if the physics are off then what's the point?
Yeah, that's definitely a big deal to nail. I feel like ANYTHING that's payware better have the physics down to a T of the real deal. Otherwise whats the point of charging money?

I heard a real one went on the market a few days ago for $50. (tail not included)
you win, thats my favorite comment...
I heard the tail was included, but would ship at a later date..... Some assembly may be required.
Minor hangar rash but otherwise mint.

I literally JUST had my buddy who flies for American over to fly in the FBW 25 min ago and he loved it haha

The only thing it's good for is memory items in VR if you're going to be flying the real thing. very basic help with FMS, but that's about it.
Thats a good point
1,000% no. Not until it’s updated. It’s abondonware.
I certainly cannot blame you for that. I really hope to see an update in the near future....

Thank you for this video. Made my decision easier to spend $50 on PMDG 739 when I'm ready to part with my money :)
An absolute wise decision my friend, God bless ya thanks for watchin!
Your Sim looks beautiful! What are your graphic settings?
Thank you! I've got a video on my channel about my settings. But i use the 3060ti and ryzen 5 5600. But for more tips on them id check out my video!
It is a really pretty plane...
very true:)
Hard to believe it’s the only CRJ. MSFS somehow killed regionals. Sort of like this CRJ killed Aerosoft.
@@Mr_Realworld I know man, same with business jets. But if you want 1000 variations of a Boeing msfs is your guy;)

I would street away from any Aerosoft product. They don't have the commitment to fix the bugs and support their products.
Yeah im finding that out the hard way... One simple update would at least keep us happy but no...
