Dont let the percieved backdrag of the ratchet hanging up on the shelf fool you. I almost didnt buy the v series ratchet i wanted because the backdrag felt unacceptable when i attempted to turn it with my hands. But when i actually went to put a socket on it and put the ratchet to real use the ratchets backdrag is hardly there, and the ratchet barely needs moved to catch the next tooth. These tools are advertised as being stronger or more durable than snapon tools. I doubt they are stronger but probably as strong. These are my favorite ratchets, especially the ines without the rubber grip i love the bare metal grip design
2:50 wider rolled edge with a depression for your thumb is why I went with Milwaukee wrenches …. Yes I know they’re not unique but having good times with their electric impacts I gave their wrenches a try and love them
It doesn’t matter if they’re unique. Only matters if they feel good to you and perform in the field. If you’re talking about the flex head ratcheting wrenches, I have that set as well and I like them
@@wewrench I’m talking about all three versions of the Milwaukee wrenches , they all have the depression in the middle section of the wrench and the top of the beam has a wide curve to it so it doesn’t hurt your hand. Like I said I know they’re not unique to that design but when I had to start out hand full of years ago I wanted to get my own wrench set. I tried them first and never gave me a problem at all so I stuck with them because they just work and a lot of people love to hate on it. Yes snap on is the bees knees of hand tools but for the price I wasn’t gunna try I wanted to see what “mid level” tool I would like and first try was miwlaukee and I like them so I’ve been using them for the better part of two years zero problem.
Those rails are flimsy. I read the reviews on amazon and thought maybe it was some defects. Nah my sockets shot out all over when trying to pull one out and the 3/8 mount came with it. You can set it back in place and loosen it. But it’s incredible how they spent so much on paint, railing, and magnets, but went stupid cheap on the mounts.
Mine haven’t had a problem since I pulled out each socket multiple times to loosen them. I’m sure they swelled inside the socket from sitting in storage. I would just think after all their effort they’d make the important part more robust. Happy overall with their hand tools lately.
WeWrench.. Awesome looking tools and also awesome that Craftsman sent them to you. I have been trying to find the V-Series tools for a while but my local Lowes never has them when I go there. Maybe one day I will be able to find them and review them on my channel as well.
There are many lowes around me and some have them and some don’t! So far I think they’re very solid tools. Gave your channel a sub and good luck on your content journey!
I know. I’ve been overwhelmed with my shorter content lately. I’m in the middle of editing the footage for the next long vid which will be rebuilding the oil pump
I like those wrench cases they use like the Mac precision torque wrenches. I also wish they wouldn’t skip sizes on those double box end ones. If they come up with a complete set I would definitely buy them vs the icon ones. Easier to carry with me and don’t take up too much space in my toolbox. Would also be nice to see the bigger sizes on the combination wrenches, like the 21mm - 27mm sets out there. I would like to see Craftsman make a comeback and the cases and foam trays have been drawing my attention a lot lately even making me try new brands to me like Capri tools.
I’m just starting to use them on my restoration project so I can’t say at the moment. They are available at ACE hardware and Lowes for replacement if there’s a location near you
Really nice stuff man. No matter how they perform they look really sweet. I gotta get some of those ratchets... I think they are a little pricey tho. Stanley needs to bring down the prices some and I think they would sell a hell of a lot more of them.
I used them this past week and so far no complaints. I don’t know this for sure but I think these ratchets are rebranded Proto and if that’s the case, then they’re well worth what they charge
@@wewrench I’m really interested in the drivers that work of rounded fasteners, If possible could you do a test of them specifically. Did the Tee handles have that too?
They are a solid mid teir level line but they do not compete with their sister companies proto, facom or mac nor with snap on. SBD put out a new chart that shows where they see each of their brands competing
I’m pretty sure the V-Series screwdrivers are rebranded Facom. Packaging says they’re made in France. But just because they look the same doesn’t mean the QC is the same or they’re made of the same alloy. The wrenches also look very similar to the Facom 440 series and the USAG 285s. The ratchets resemble Proto. Again, who knows what the variables are but it makes sense from a mfg. standpoint to take the strengths of those lesser known brands and bring it mainstream
Glad to see craftsman getting there tools into the hands of mechanics and cartubers.
I really appreciate you supporting the channel! Check out the 4 latest vids I did using the Craftsman Cordless tools!

I agree 100% with what you said. These are definitely a quality tool. I've been reaching for these ratchets consistently ever since CM sent them over.
I prefer the look of the multicolored Craftsman chisels
Those are nice too
I miss the days of walking into Sears and within seconds you could a replacement ratchet. V-series look nice!
That's a nostalgic thought for a lot of people! Love your channel btw. Gave you a sub!

I haven’t had a problem with mine yet. Been using these tools regularly since I posted this video.

I agree 100%. It’s such an iconic brand. The V-Series is a step in the right direction for them
They are owned by Stanley b n d they also own facom and mac that's why they all look the same
How are these VS Icon? Seems like quite a jump in price for tools that aren't available locally for replacement.

Nah HFT mo'bettah........
I don’t think anything from Pittsburgh is better. ICON may be comparable
Where are these tools made???I pay up for anything not made in China
Taiwan and France
China has gotten quite good at making most things in the US! It’s been about 40 years since China has made low quality brand name tools!
@@zachsheffield1325 What low quality brand name tools were made in china?
Craftsman are junk thay are so hard to return
These are def not junk. But I have heard issues with getting them warrantied.
