    Yourself, Michael and Hamilton helped me make my mind up of becoming a Cornwell dealer. Matco and snap on has a good grip on my area. I didn’t want to go 45 minutes to start my route. So thank you and the other two for showing the inside working of a tool truck....

    Those cigarette lighter terminal adapter are great for cars with a battery in the trunk and an electric opener, you can trickle charge the battery to get the trunk open.
    Cheers!

    That oil filter wrench is rebadged VIM. The grinding/cutting wheels are 10000000% worth the money, I have a few of the 3 and 2 inch. Also worth the money are the Lenox diamond cutting wheels.

    The printing on those wires are laser printed on there. Next time that ink smears off, get your UV light and your glasses. You'll still be able to read the wire with UV light.

    As a former f16 avionics technician I love electronic troubleshooting and the f16 had ever wire was white whit a number printed number every 18 inches

    • @markiefufu
      @markiefufu 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm halfway decent at troubleshooting electrical, but all white wires would drive me crazy! But then again, the black writing is easier to read on white wires. My bus seems to have all dark colored wires and reading those numbers are tough. Lol.

    Try working on Chrysler’s wiring... they label there wires but what they are good at doing at the inline connectors they will change the wire colors. Your start with a blue and yellow, than it will change to light green with brown...

  • @coopersloan3938
    @coopersloan3938 ปีที่แล้ว

    Butt connectors are better than soldering in most automotive situations like inline stranded wire splices. Solder is for fixed position applications. A proper crimp is as good connection, and better durability than solder which is prone to cold joints and failure in flying wires.

    Those cut off wheels,wear your safety glasses and glad I did one one day.Was cutting the locking tab off a spring type hose clamp and part of of the cut off wheel came apart.Was on my pnuematic cut off tool when it came apart and was lucky it didn't injure me.Don't need the pieces of them in your eyes.Seen a picture of one that went into the safety glasses missing the person's eye.Another with electrical is people opening up wiring harnesses with a razor blade,do damage to the wiring.I have a couple sewing tools,seam rippers I use to open up wiring harnesses that don't do damage to the wiring.

    • @markiefufu
      @markiefufu 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    My distributer had those oil filter wrenches. I wasnt interested bcuz alot of filters u need that angle. 45 or 90 but now I'm regretting not getting one. Also those blue handle ratchets he had a deal for 2 3/8ths n a 1/4 as a bundle. I love blue but I dont like that shade. I do love the feel of matco ratchets tho. I've never owned one just used a few n so damn smooth to use!!!. Our Matco dealer randy is a good guy n I enjoy talking to him on the truck n b.sing about tools n cars. My boss does a lil inside tho when he sees me go out to the truck for 15 mins tho lmao. My boss is a great guy tho

    That power and ground cig plug would be useful..I currently have a male OBD2 plug with wires coming out of pin 4, 6, 14, and 16 and insulated female spades on the ends so I can stick a meter lead in and it’ll stay. Gets me ground, power and able to test CAN wires.

    I picked the oil filter wrench up after seeing the video and its great really bites good just hard to get in tight spaces.if they could make it with a angled head or handle it would be great but not sure that would work with the design.

  • @haroldberwanger3298
    @haroldberwanger3298 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I wish Marco or lisle would make a lighter plug that uses an LED instead of the bulb and use a quick connection like what they use on a speaker box or make it so you can unscrew the post but make it so you can only screw the right size so you dont mix up positive from ground. Like to use something like that to test gps or other aftermarket.

    Combines use ALOT of the same colored wires with numbers printed on them which is great until the harness casing gets dirt in it and it wears all the numbers off. Or I’d the wires are exposed by a bulk head connector or something and the sun can get it it will bleed out all the wire colors and the numbers

    I absolutely hate when someone does electrical that shouldn't! Had a boat recently that came to the shop and someone had swapped the harnesses for nav. Lights and the docking lights. To top it off, they tapped into one of the light harnesses to hook the horn up so when I swapped the light harnesses back to the correct set up it killed the horn. I ended up cutting the wires running to the horn and running dedicated wires from the console to the horn to quickly skip all the messed up wiring and not create a new wiring problem!

    Good morning Clay. Thank you for another excellent video! May I make a request for a video? I am in the market for an underhood light and am leaning towards the Snap On ECUHA158A (that's the new 2000 lumens project underhood light). I also like the MCL045M1 (that's the foldable light bar with the sensor). I'd love it if you did a comparison video or just gave your thoughts on them.
    Have a great weekend, Clay.

    In aviation if you are doing anything with wires you better learn how to read wire codes because ALL the wires are white. You want to chase wires? Chasing wires down an entire wiring loom from nose to tail through bulkhead pass thru's and all manner of stuff gets to be real fun. Pulling up fiberglass insulation... yea. Glad I'm not an avionics guy. Some of them harness's can get thick too like 3 - 4 inch's thick of wires.
