I picked up a Gloss black Extreme green Epiq 68” for 2k more. Nice box and definitely a huge upgrade for them but if your willing to pay close to 2k, check online for a used box. I drove 3.5 hours to pick mine up and I absolutely love it, looking for matching side lockers for it now but patience is key. I always hear everyone complain about snap on prices, but how many actually wait and be patient for a good deal to come along? Great video brother

@@jamesgarasiun5082 I'm 52 brother and I'm very patient. It's taken me most my life to get a tool box that I really want and I'm building it.

Pretty much. I feel it's more solid than the US General boxes. It's on par with the old Craftsman boxes.

My biggest gripe against Craftsman tool boxes is their drawer layouts. They are geared for the homeowner. The drawers are never wide enough for the professional mechanic. The last time I looked at Craftsman boxes at Lowe's they definitely felt tinny. I do like the drawer layout of the V series boxes. That extra deep drawer is perfect for blow molded cases, or "overblown" as I like to call them. They take up a lot of real estate.

Thanks for doing a video on this, my local Lowe’s doesn’t have any on display or in stock so I haven’t been able to look at one in person and there’s not much on here about them. Definitely a good looking box with that red accent

I got a 87 inch long 30 something deep triple bank matco 6s at work you work in a automotive shop a professional box is nice but that craftsman would be a hell of a box for the house

Thanks my brother. I haven't seen anybody do a video on the Craftsman V series. Figured I'd do it.

To be honest, the craftsman toolboxes are okay but not the greatest. Same goes for husky except they're slightly upgraded but the steel on them are a bit thin to my liking. These are made for the adverage home owner. I don't necessarily think they're bad toolboxes, they're just below adverage with their quality.
I'd say the us general toolboxes and toolcarts are better than these to be honest and worth the price for the decent quality you're getting compared to craftsman.

You obviously haven't seen a V series box yet. They feel like the old Craftsman tool boxes.

@@chefshadetree3972I mean yeah those are pretty good but I would go with a masterforce instead that's roughly the same price if not slightly expensive as this but you get better width and depth of the drawers as well as just as good or better steel quality than the craftsman v series boxes.
In my opinion, I feel that you get more bang for your buck with the masterforce boxes than what the craftsman v series offers.

@@chefshadetree3972 I just think 1800$ is a bit more expensive for a craftsman toolbox, and I’d also rather buy an icon for that kind of money.

@@williamsanders468 really I was just trying to show the new V series tool box. I showed the price of $1800 because Harbor Freight put that price on their new series 3 box and also the Masterforce box at Menards is the same price. In all actuality that V series Craftsman feels better than the series 3. Something to think about.
