    When you add bread to a gazpacho, it's actually called Salmorejo :) Also, my mother tends to remove the cucumber skin when she makes it, so it turns a bit less "browny" ! I'm so glad to see my country's food on your channel, it's really well done!!

    Hello! The crunchy bit at the bottom of the paella pan is one of the best bits, so delicious! It's called Socarrat (or something very similar to that, not sure about the spelling). Right before you serve paella, you mix it in a bit so that everyone gets it, sooooo good.

    +The Domestic Geek, you are not suppossed to stir the paella, it is suppossed to be a dried rice!! the process (excluding the chorizo, which is quite controversial) was great until that point! but oh well, I am sure it is a great rice dish though :D (in Spain we would call that an "Arroz caldoso") the bravas and gazpacho were on point!!

    Hi!! I'm spanish, and actually from Valencia, and I can tell we never use some of the ingredients you used for paellas, and we make them different.... But I suppose it tastes delicious as well! 😋

    • @krysienkaa.8451
      @krysienkaa.8451 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Heyy Marta, what do you think about combining chorizo with shrimps?

    • @martahervas7095
      @martahervas7095 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Krysienka A. I think it is really weird... We never mix meat with any kind of fish or sea food. And we never use onion either.

    • @krysienkaa.8451
      @krysienkaa.8451 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Marta Hervas that is exactly what I thought. Although I know very little about Spanish cuisine but quite a lot about Italian and other Mediterranean. Kind of common in American/Canadian/Australian cooking to mix everything and not having really any canon...

    • @mtemben
      @mtemben 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Krysienka A. Actually, some people do mix meat and fish/seafood in paella. It's called "mar y montaña" or "sea and mountain". Nevertheless, chorizo and as you said, onion, are not common ingredients in paella. Anyways, it looks delicious! Source: I'm Spanish, too :D

    Thank you for making this video about spanish cooking. I appreciate it a lot. I like your cooking very much, and actually have cooked a lot of your recipes. Being from Spain I found that your "version" of our very famous and delicious dishes is a bit peculiar. I'm thinking of cooking them, but putting it "à la Sara". And please, don't say PAYEYA, say just PAEYA. 👌!
    For everyone interested in "Cocina Española" (spanish cuisine) I recommend you to check the real recipes and give them, also a try. :))

    • @hoskarmoon
