I've backpacked around the world, there's nothing like Tassie, I've trekked the Overland Track 4 times and most international trekkers would agree it's the most rewarding because you climb up and down several mountains every day, which you can't do for example in the Andes or European Alps, plus the temperate rain forests, button grass plains, tarns and rivers in between each mountain valley are spectacular in Tassie
Welcome to my end of the earth. Had to laugh when you said first on , first off , then you get parked in the lower levels. Little tip for sleeping on the boat, have a few drinks, when your own sway matches that of the boat , you wont have any problem.
So glad you have made it to Tassie. Such a beautiful place. Interesting fact, the West Coast has the cleanest air anywhere in the world. You guys will absolutely love it there. Can't wait to see where you go
Don’t forget to call in and see us at the Tasmanian Wool Centre in Ross, showing everything wool and a museum and history room. Ross is a gorgeous sandstone village with plenty to see and a great opportunity to soak up the atmosphere of village life. We sell all things wool and you just might need some locally knitted mittens 😉
Congrats on making it to Tassie. You guys are going to have a ball. If you can try to get to Derwent, a little town and visit “The Wall” a complete history of Tassie carved out onto large wooden panels. It will make you cry. You can’t help watching your work and not smile. The pair of you are special. Stay safe and keep warm. Regards Donna and Enzo

Wow! The irony of it... I commented on your last video, Trying to enjoy Australia’s top tourist attraction, asking... Can't wait to see this series, it'll be another awesome Jack & Meghan production. Stay safe, keep well, and happy trails!
You may have visited but you should try living here. Moved to Tassie 17 years ago from Qld and would never dream of leaving. Cradle Mountain is less than 90mins from my front door so you don't need to be Rhodes Scholar to work out where I spend quite a bit of my time walking.

Welcome to Tassie, my parents moved here when I was turning 9 (I am 27 now) they fell in love with Tasmania and the beautiful scenery so we moved here from Mildura Victoria and been here ever since.

Hi Jack and Megan, my Wife and I love watching your travels especially this one as we lived in Tassy for a few years and miss it so much. I'm sure you'll both have a wonderful time even though you won't get to see it all. If you can, give Bruny Island a visit and see the quaint 'Doo Town' and Eagle Hawk Neck.
Hi guys, Sorry you copped the lurgy Jack, glad you're both feeling better. I'm excited for the Tazzie trip. Looking forward to your experiences in the apple isle. I went there in 2006, for a few days, my last holiday! You're excitement is infectious. Enjoy and stay safe and well. Steve
We stayed in that exact spot after going to Cradle Mountain on our trip to Tassie which was from 18th of August through to 7th September this year. It is a very magical and wonderful place to visit. So many good spots and so much free camping. Some friends who were with us saw a Platypus in the river in front of where you were staying there as well!
6 years ago I came for a 4 week holiday, almost 2 years ago I packed up and moved here. I still get around smiling and thinking of how fricking cool is this. The only down side ? road kill :( Best decision I have made in my 60 years. I'll follow you to see where you end up that I havent found yet.
Loving it. We did Cradle Mtn for our honeymoon- 31 years ago last week! Great video. You will so love Tassie, we keep going back and I can understand why that guy never left.
Hey Guys, Tassie is a photographers dream. I did spent 6 weeks and travelled around 8000km. Make sure you have a good look at the West and East coasts the differences in landscape is incredible. You have a good channel and I enjoy watching your updates. If I knew where to send the full maps of the tracks I took I would send them to you. Enjoy and have fun
You should Defiantly visit Leven Canyon while you'e down. Its a very short walk from the carpark with an amazing view at the lookout. Hope you're having a good trip.

Hi Jake and Megan 😊 yes Tasmania is a stunning place , I grew up there for 20+ years and now I live in W.A. . can’t wait to get back there this Friday and get to see stunning 👍 Tasmanian born and bred with two heads second head always loves Tasmanian hope you enjoy 👍 P.s the drive across the Nullarbor sucks
Hello dears - I am thrilled, I was there for 2 weeks in 1995 and Tasmania was certainly one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. As time goes by... Greetings from wet and cold Germany!
Hey guy's,your going to love Tassie,we drove down caught the spirit a couple of years ago and was amazed at everything we saw and did.An absolutely magical place.
Took the family to Tassie Christmas holidays 2003 for 3 weeks before we moved from Vic to Qld, one of the greatest places on Earth. When you can go to South Island NZ as similar but different and then of course (one day) to Scotland (my birth place) which is similar to both and yet different. Another top video so thanks. PS make sure you visit Bruny Island & Port Arthur as well as the Jet Boat on the Huon
It’s just incredible here isn’t it! Yesss we did say when we visited Stanley it reminded us of photos we’d seen of Scotland! Would absolutely love to visit there one day 🙌🏼
You’ll love it…..we live in Devonport…. Can’t work out the campsite spot you’re at…?????..looks like Gunns Plains. Just subscribed to your channel. Enjoy 👍🏽
Have brilliant time guys. Just spent two and a half weeks in Tasmania. Fantastic scenery. We chased the weather from one side to the other. Had a laugh putting together some videos for family and friends.( Not to your standard) One thing we learnt was it takes much longer to travel from place to place. What takes one hour on the mainland takes two in Tasmania. Soaking up the clean air should help get rid of those colds!😉
Wish I had known you were coming to Tassie, I could have given you some spots to see that are not on the general tourist route. An awesome place to grow up in and live in. I've been all around Aus, but I still love coming home to Tassie
Congratulations on the big adventure just to get to tassie. Now I’m hanging to see the next adventure to follow on. Ya gotta get some Spin fishing gear and catch a fresh Tassie trout. I hear they are amazing. Regards, from Mario.
Can not wait to see Cradle Mountain especially from the way you guy's showcase a location!! It's going to be totally amazing, can not wait for this Tasmanian journey guy's! Enjoy
Completely disagree with you it was incredible. Unsure what cost you $40 I’m guessing it was the parks pass? We purchased ours online around $80 and it lasts our whole trip and we can come and go from all the parks in tassie 😊
Megan & Jack, You’ve entered my snare …… Welcome to my home, only you chose to visit while I’m up on the mainland & can’t wait to get back home…..counting the day - thanks for making me homesick 😂
So awesome guys! Tasmania would have to be the #1 state for stunning scenery and remoteness (we are in Qld) Great wisdom- I’m starting our to do list /vision board ready for our journeys- (I’m 60 😊) You enjoy kids - love your joy of touring!
The landscapes here are next level it could possibly be our favourite state now!! Yes get that vision board happening!! We have one on our desktop so we see it everyday! Thanks for watching 😊
Hope the weather is not being too hard on you two in Tasmania ? It’s pretty crappy in Melbourne and here in NZ at the moment and it looks like it’s passing through you on its way? We were over there in Tasmania in our Troopy heading into winter a couple of years ago. Spent quite a few nights in motels/cabins when our lift up roof leaked. You probably won’t have it as bad as your canvas is newer than ours. Make sure you travel into the centre where the big dams are. A couple of great free campsites and a walk on a dam top isn’t to be missed. Regards,
@@itsJackandMegan I've done a bit of the east coast - Wine glass bay, Bay of fires, Maria Island and Bruny Island down south - so amazing! Going to do it all again with Karl this time. Really want to do Cradle Mountain too. We're doing 5 weeks. So much to see there and we didn't want to rush it. Hope you're both feeling better!
Welcome to Tassie guys. I've lived here all my life and explored most of it both land and sea(was a commercial diver in a past life). Your in for a treat, it is the best secret ever. Two TH-cam channels to have a look at, Tassie Boys Prospecting and Rob Parsons , both Levi and Rob live in Tasmania and their content is well worth following f you are into adventures. I've followed your channel for ages and always look forward to your clips. Hope you have a good time here. Regards Andrew.
Cant wait for our tour of Tassie by the best travel guides 🥰🥰 Never been there, but lm so excited to see what you have to show us🤩🤩🤩 It already looks incredible
In 1984 after our 18 month backpacking and motorcycling around Europe/Asia (including USSR) came to an end as we had to 'settle down' in our home town of Melbourne. Friends would ask "When are you going overseas again?" but finances said otherwise. Then the then new Roll On/Roll Off ferry to Tassie became available (Anel Tasman). Long story short came here on holiday in 1986 and when in 1991 a job became available we packed up and lived here on the North/West Coast. Despite being able to go back never did. Son Married a local girl and have a child with more to come?
Tassie is the greatest place on earth.....I may be a touch bias though! lol so glad seeing people LOVE Tassie! haha all mainlanders notice the roadkill! yep.....it's part of Tassie
How exciting! We have booked the boat in March with RV and dogs, look forward to seeing your journey! Did you happen to pass the dog cabins? Bit worried about my babies being in a different section to us for 9 hours.
Hi Jack and Megan 😀If you get a chance go and stay at Lilydale Falls campsite, it is such a beautiful place, hope you have a great time at cradle mountain ❤❤
Awesome episode guys. How's the drone shots, Tassie looks beautiful, can't wait to get over there. You guys looked wrecked after the boat, I hope we feel better then you looked after it, haha.
One last thought, if you see nothing else in Tasmania, make sure you go to the BIRD RIVER TRACK out of Queenstown, it is in the World Heritage Rainforest........it Will be the most BEAUTIFUL 😍, Rainforest/ place YOU WILL SEE IN YOUR LIFE......I'll put money on it 😀 😄 The drive in is BREATHTAKING, well worth the effort, and you can camp at Lake Burbury on the way there. Train at Queenstown is impressive too, but not cheap. ENJOY 😉 🤗🤗 Cheers Rob and Shelly
Hot tip for a good night's sleep on the Spirit.... Have a few wines in the lounge! LOL... ALSO... get a pair of those squishy earplugs and put them in for the night. They are comfortable and mitigate the eternal rumble noise of the engines. You are seriously not going to want to leave Tassie (my home state). Inbox me for some insider info on what to see. Cheers, dd
Had to chuckle when you mentioned you might get off the boat quicker, and then they put you in the very worst car spot in the bowels of the ship..... I grew up in Tassie, we lived at Tarraleah, Wayatinah, George Town, Hillwood, and Hobart before eventually moving to Melbourne for career. Still in Melbourne, miss Tassie more every day. Tassie has everything anyone could want in a condensed parcel.
The road kill is small wallabies. They call them “ paddy melons”. Tassie is certainly a beautiful place to explore. I’ve seen a fair bit of Tassie but not the west coast. Has a reputation of being out there beautiful remote scenery. Perfect for four wheel drivers!
@Jack & Megan no worries we love this channel we are buying a farm in Victoria soon and then starting our trip around oz we where going to do it in a troopy but can't now cos we are having a baby

Loving the Tassie trip so far guys looking forward to cradle mountain it’s on my bucket list also. Loving your haircut Megan it really suits you 😊
You guys were spot on when you said it is like NZ. So green and beautiful. Enjoy your time there in Tassie.
Thanks Matt, can’t wait to explore NZ one day!
We could almost be the West Island of NZ 😎😎
Can not wait to see Cradle Mountain especially from the way you guy's showcase a location!! It's going to be totally amazing, can not wait for this Tasmanian journey guy's! Enjoy
Oh mate it was insane!!! Like nothing we have ever seen. Cannot wait to show you!
Completely disagree with you it was incredible. Unsure what cost you $40 I’m guessing it was the parks pass? We purchased ours online around $80 and it lasts our whole trip and we can come and go from all the parks in tassie 😊
Megan & Jack,
You’ve entered my snare …… Welcome to my home, only you chose to visit while I’m up on the mainland & can’t wait to get back home…..counting the day - thanks for making me homesick 😂
You guys are so sweet! Have the best time in beautiful Tassie. Are you heading to Stanley? It’s just magical!
Thanks so much for watching Kate! We are loving Tassie so far 😄 yesss we made sure to visit! Was such a cute little town
So awesome guys! Tasmania would have to be the #1 state for stunning scenery and remoteness (we are in Qld)
Great wisdom- I’m starting our to do list /vision board ready for our journeys- (I’m 60 😊)
You enjoy kids - love your joy of touring!
Regards,
This is so good! We're heading over to Tassie in the troopy in Feb. Can't wait!
Very excited to see what you guys get up to there.
We cannot wait to share it all!! You will love it here it’s so nice 👍😊
@@lydiaourtroopytravels_au303 you guys will absolutely love cradle mountain!! That episode come out next Sunday cannot wait to share it!!
Get better guys. Can't wait to see more free camp sites you will be going to. Take care
Thanks for the recommendations mate! I’ll go check them out for sure. Thanks for following along on we really appreciate it 😊👍
Cant wait for our tour of Tassie by the best travel guides 🥰🥰

Looking good, the scenery is a lot like New Zealand, get well soon ❤
Cool Guy's, looking forward to this.
Can’t wait to share it mate!!
What an awesome story! Can definitely understand why you never left! We are seriously considering coming back and stay a lot longer!
Lord of the Rings description touched my imagination deeply of a dream with someone special. So grateful for stumbling upon your channel❤
Tassie is the greatest place on earth.....I may be a touch bias though! lol so glad seeing people LOVE Tassie! haha all mainlanders notice the roadkill! yep.....it's part of Tassie
What a joy you both are. Enjoy your tassie trip!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the video 😊
How exciting! We have booked the boat in March with RV and dogs, look forward to seeing your journey! Did you happen to pass the dog cabins? Bit worried about my babies being in a different section to us for 9 hours.
Good on you both love your video's and bloopers and we subscribed can't wait for your video's take care
Thanks so much guys!! 😊👍
Mate we were absolutely wrecked mate 😂 it’s a stunning place here you’re going to love it!!
Haha 😂 Caitlyn catches me rolling with the clutch in getting paranoid about noises all the time. Cheers for the tip Jack I'll try turning the car off.
I love tassie and yes it is similar to new Zealand especially the sea food 😍
I am a Tasmanian, born in Latrobe 22 years ago. Love to see videos like this. Subscribed straight away!
Where did you camp the second night? :)
Hey thanks for subscribing 😊
That camp site was called Lake Gairdner stunning place hey.
One last thought, if you see nothing else in Tasmania, make sure you go to the BIRD RIVER TRACK out of Queenstown, it is in the World Heritage Rainforest........it Will be the most BEAUTIFUL 😍, Rainforest/ place YOU WILL SEE IN YOUR LIFE......I'll put money on it 😀 😄
The drive in is BREATHTAKING, well worth the effort, and you can camp at Lake Burbury on the way there.
Train at Queenstown is impressive too, but not cheap.
ENJOY 😉 🤗🤗
Cheers Rob and Shelly
Ahh so that’s what they are now that I think about it they do look like little wallabies! The West coast so far has been so beautiful!!
sooo jealous ... its high on my bucket list as well !!
Such an incredible place!
So awesome guys get well.
Thanks so much Gavin!
Do the cascade brewery tour and the mount Wellington bus in Hobart
Bothwell is my favourite town in Tasmania.
Happy Sunday Jack and Megan
Happy Sunday thanks for watching 😊👍
