Great video Grant. Looked like some tough conditions over there. Nice to see the lure variety for different scenarios. And it's nice to see you're also human and do catch smaller bass sometimes! 😂
Cheers Cal, the summer can be really tough in Portugal so Im always happy to get any fish! 😄 In Part 2 im lucky to get into some bigger ones! Yes your right its nice to have a choice of lures and colours now for different situations! 👊
after grabbing a couple of sub surface samson lures, i was refreshed to see you hook a couple of smaller bass. as the norm are near doubles. lol guess i better get tweak baits to. gg well played Grant be safe. great content.
Hello mate, I love your videos and my jaw drops when I see the captures you make. But... I start to see the lures and their prices and they are expensive with the shipping price. Thanks for everything and greetings from Seville.
Cheers, glad you enjoyed it! I think the lures are a good price for hand made long lasting and casting lures! The shipping is free at a certain point so if you have a friend that wants to order too! Also includes all import taxes
Congrats for the catches, the videos and advices. I am fishing in Algarve for 2 months now (winter) and only managed to catch 1 spotted seabass (baila), although I ahve seen a lot of big seabass around. My main question would be : based on your experience, what would be the best tides for early morning and late day spinning sessions? Thanks in advance. Cheers
It depends on the mark, but generally your best chance is sunrise and sunset without doubt. Some marks work best at low and others high so you just need to find out at the spots you fish, Good luck
Possibly! first I have plans for a few 2 piece rods, Travel rods are definitely handy these days with the difficulties you can have bringing your gear!
Looks perfect for the area and conditions you fish, whilst too heavy for my style of bass fishing do you think it would have uses as a pollacking rod? When will testing be completed pls? How much will the finished rods be? Many thanks, looking forward to part 2.
Im not sure about pollock fishing, as ive not done that. Any spinning where you are casting 30-100g its ideal. Testing is complete and should be available around March. Weve already tested them on stronger fish and had 40lb Tuna and Corvina from the shore
Many thanks Grant, I will look forward to seeing more details about the rod. Just seen in the comments you are going for roosters in the new year, really hope you catch loads and get some videos of you doing it. That is my boys and me dream fish. There is an interesting Surfcasters Journal podcast with Zeno H talking to a rooster addict who fishes along the Baha, well worth a listen if you get time or want to while away an hour. All the best with the lures, rod and other endeavours.
@@bassblanker5359 Yes Im doing an XH version just 50g heavier which will be ideal for the Roosters! I love fishing for them they are so exciting chasing the lure, just hope it works out this time and I can get over. Hope you and your boys get over to chase them! Im also looking forward to that! 👊
Bonjour quelles sont les caractéristiques de votre superbe canne ? Et sera til possible d'en acheter une ? Et si oui, à quel moment ? et pour quel prix approximativement ? Merci à vous

Another great video, nice looking rod, would you guys ever think about making a bass travel rod eg, 6 pieces.greetings from costa Blanca 😎🐠

@@lurefishingfromtheshore-gr8270 you would smash it if you made a 5/6 piece travel rod, no one is doing that well at all

Hi Grant , fantastic action again .
What mainline and leader do you recommend ?
Thanks .
thanks 15lb braid when easy conditions 20/30lb around heavy rocks and swell and leader same light when its calm and heavier when its rough and rocky
Hi again, what braid u using for 80gr lures?
He Frederico, I use maximum 30lb braid, with a bimin twist
Nice video what size reel would match this rod ?
Thanks! For bass I was using a 3500 and 4000 but I will be using an 8000 on the heavier version when targeting Roosters in the new year
