Spring Sea Bass Lure Fishing - On Samson Lures Pt 1

I managed to get over to Portugal the day after the lockdown where fishing had been 3 months on lockdown! In Spring Sea Bass Lure Fishing - On Samson Lures I had some calmer less windy conditions and the opportunity to use the new Samson Slow Sink Tweak Baits and had success from the 10g and 22g lures in mullet design.

Im always looking to fish better in any way I can, and during this trip I also tried out the Toit knot designed by Warren De Toit! An excellent knot well worth looking at!

We have been watching Grant for a while now and after seeing him and others catch the size of bass and other fish right off the rocks using a Samson lure we had to ask so we contacted Grant and to hear from Grant it was like talking to a movie star all the stories and pictures got my son and I all worked up so we booked a flight to Portugal to fish this amazing place and to be able to cast a Samson off the rocks and to catch a bass this size we can’t wait.

Great video Grant, you got so lucky with those conditions, really enjoyed the footage, considering all the salt spray, jumping in and out of the water and wind. Really looking forward to getting a few of the Samson Bomb lures to target Blacktip Sharks on the Lure. They really do look like hard wearing lures. Cant wait to see part 2 of the 2021 Portugal trip. Thanks again for putting the knot thru its paces.

Thanks a lot! Ha! Really funny how they get bigger as I go! Part 2 is ready soon and yes I manage to find some bigger ones! I dont know about the rod, but there was a nice older guy getting percebes from the rocks (a kind of barnacle) and good chance he would know! Yes hope the big blues start to return, nice to get some positive fishing changes what with all the diminishing stocks

Again phenomenal, epic fishing. Just ordered my first few samons via veals. Deliberately bought lures heavier than any of my current gear can handle. Come the Autumm storms I'll have to get the kit to cast them, can't wait lol

fish in pic is 50g. 15g Tweak is 7cm, 30g is 10cm and the 50g is 11cm (fast sinks are smaller)
