    punishing solo and small group play is like asking people to stop playing, plenty of people just want to chill on thier own or play with friends and dont want to worry about strangers fun

      It’s meant to be played with people. It’s meant to be insanely hard without a coordinated team. If solo is too hard, change your difficulty, it’s as simple as that.

      @@nerktheninja811 I agree and I do play on lower difficulty when solo. However my opinion on this change is that it feels like an extra slap in the face for playing the game 'wrong'. its not a big deal especially in context of other recent changes but still I want to voice my opinion

    The unlimited Nade glitch is not even fixed, it still works just like before.

      It's hilarious because previously the glitch made your grenade count go into negative numbers, seemingly bypassing the check for if you had 0 grenades left that would prevent you from throwing more. But now, when you throw a grenade with the glitch you suddenly jump to 4,294,967,296 grenades instead, meaning the game subtracts 1 from 0 and wraps around.
      It seems whatever dev tried to fix it saw the negative number, thought "I'll just make it an unsigned integer so it can't go negative" and checked the bug off the list as fixed without testing. For reference, the maximum value of an unsigned 32bit integer is 4,294,967,296.

      @@plasmasupremacy9321 that's funny. Didn't the community already deduce that the issue was a simple comparator error? Of course we don't have access to the code directly but surely the logic is just slightly incorrect. idk why it would take months to fix it. They should just work on a couple errors at a time and do weekly updates rather than these big sweeping waterfall changes imo.

      I will try it again. It is the same as before the last patch? Press 4 to hold granade at hand and after throwing the last granade, spam stratagem button?

      @@diogorocha9837 yeah, everything is the same except the number goes to 4.2B instead of -1. Very much a dev who was told to stop grenades going negative without understanding the real problem.

    I'm getting real tired of progressing through a premium warbond that already usually has only 1 usable weapon, and then having it nerfed to hell and back to boot.
    At least Blitzer finally got a deserved buff (though with arc targeting in general that "buff" needs to be tested further).
    Update: Blitzer feels real good now. Tendrils still wonky with terrain and corpses (a warrior can take from 1-3 shots to die depending on the angle of the cone), but now it is reliable in managing crowds without needing to switch.

    As a player that lives in china, I'm pretty sad to hear about the patrol change. As much as I love playing the game with other people, it is often simply unfeasible due to latency. Playing on my own, working my way up to difficulty level 4 missions, has been quite a slog, but an enjoyable one. It's saddening, though, because this feels like a punishment for players like me that don't have easy access to servers or to a wider player base.

      How can latency be bad in china, like i refused to believe that a game NOT having a server in china, im getting constant 40-60 ping in most of my matches, maybe your internet is the problem, try upgrading or contact ur internet provider for potential issues

    12:06 regarding what key you should use to toggle climbing, it's actually possible to use "Spacebar" for both diving, and climbing!
    In your keybind settings page, under "General" tab, set Dive to "Tap" and "Spacebar" while setting your Climb to "Hold" and "Spacebar". When set up like this, every time you tap your spacebar your helldiver would just dive, but holding down spacebar would let you go into climbing mode and not actually make your helldiver do the dive animation. I have been rocking this configuration for a long time now and can confirm it really does work very well. It just might take a bit of muscle memory to get used to holding down spacebar for when you are trying desperately to climb up a series of rocks to get atop a perch.

      I did the exact same thing right after I started playing. I have large hands, so twisting my thumb under to alt was way too difficult and I would always end up hitting space anyway. Haven't touched it since and it's been great. It will be even batter now that I can finally turn off auto-clamber. Thank you, Devs!!!!!

    Per Spitz and the Worlds team:
    "Quote: "We unintendedly had non-linear scaling of the patrol spawns so they didn't spawn as often as they should have when less than 4 players. The intention is that 1 player has 1/4th of the patrols compared to 4 players, but it used to be that they had 1/6th." (The Worlds team)
    "Hope this clarifies the change for everyone - we're not making the game arbitrarily harder!" (Spitz)
    So we've inadvertently been playing on Easy mode compared to how they actually wanted spawns to work when scaling up from Solo to a full team. With this context, it's legitimately not a nerf, it's a balance adjustment. The real issue is: SHOULD they even have done this in the first place and did they even think it through as to how it might affect future player retention?
    I'm still gonna play solo. I don't give a shit. 😆

      I think, I can believe that. A lot of automatons patrol end up stuck somewhere that's why you can fight less depending on their AI.
      Even with this the issue is on the AI and not the count but I digress.

      its managable i played helldive vs bugs, there is a diference but i still completed the mission it was okay, doing the hives or whatever their called (places with a ton of bug holes red circled on the minimap) felt really impossible tho

    EDIT: I don't care about weapon nerfs all that much I just know my friends are gonna be less interested in hopping into duos or trios when they hear that there's going to be more patrols. Especially when said friends care more about nerfs than I ever did.

      There’s a lot of concerns for the future of this game in general really hoping they don’t pull a helldivers 1 where a bug is too “complex” for them to fix so they just left it in there for the rest of the games life but tbh it already looks like arrowhead is going down that road again considering how bugged this game continues to get so yea shit weapon nerfs in a game that’s not PvP at all and a chance we may never see some bugs fixed 🤷very concerning

      This is patently false lol. Arrowhead buffed a bunch of rarely used guns in this update. They are actively trying to prevent a "meta" where people only use a few guns. They will probably continue to nerf whatever is overused and buff anything underused and that's great news for players. It means we will have to switch things up and try out new weapons. Arrowhead is encouraging weapon diversity and experimentation in a big way that keeps it from being stale.

      They’re not increasing the difficulties. Patrols were supposed to be the same from the start. The only changes you’re supposed to get at higher diff is the type of units. (Devastators, tanks, factory striders, amounts of objectives on the map). The patrols are now how they should have been.

    All of the ammo cap nerfs feel pretty icky imo, I'm not too fond of using ammo restriction as a balancing mechanic.

      Ammo management in general is already a poor mechanic, I find the ammo economy was on the borderline of medium/difficult before.

    The Eruptor nerf really came out of nowhere. Really looks like it just got way overhyped and balance changes were made according to the crowd noise. I always liked the Eruptor, but man, with that abysmal rate of fire, it was always at best a low-to-middle A tier pick, never S. Very FUN, but never really a top choice.

      I used it about a hour ago, and honestly its not bad right now. The only thing i noticed is that it just doesn't have more ammo than a rednecks basement anymore. About the same amount of ammo you would find in the back of a rednecks pickup, but not his basement.

      The Eruptor always struck me as the ultimate objective gun for bugs. It’s my favorite weapon for closing nests, it can annihilate patrols in 3 shots, headshot to a nursing biles and commanders is a one shot, and if my buddy has got a bunch of bugs bearing down I’ll swing my weapon over, kill a bunch of them that would have added to his situation, then turn back to my shit and he’d make it through and we’d all move forward. I honestly hate playing without the eruptor because I’m so handy to the team with it, if I stop using it nests are alive longer, armored enemies live longer and everybody I play with would have to change their playstyle pretty dramatically.

      It was a top tier primary weapon, it can kill bug holes and fabricators, and it had great ammo economy before, it’s still great for it’s job but it no longer eclipses all the other weapons since it has some real downsides for it’s benefits. It’s the best primary for alpha damage horde clear, long range sniping, the best primary for objective and base clear, but now it requires more consideration of it’s ammo economy along with being somewhat dangerous to use close range. Arrowhead has been getting a lot better with how it buffs and nerfs primaries

    Im all for the gunship number decrease. Had a run last night where we ended up having almost a DOZEN in the sky, not counting the ground troops. It was literally impossible to do anything. You get called back in, teammate dies, call them in, rinse and repeat. It was insane.
    Edit: sometimes you load in solo and only to be joined by random players. Therefore, your loadouts usually do not complement each other. I appreciate the ones in the responses being civil and giving positive criticism and advice.
    For those that scream "SKILL ISSSUE"🤓.... Kindly, fuck off ♥

      It will still be pretty tough because you come back in without your support to take them down, and they are always accurate as hell. Still, this should help quite a bit with the ridiculousness though.

      I had a blitz mission, 12 minutes and wed be through all the factories we had to destroy. There was a spot that was open on the map so I dropped there and it was right in front of 2 gunship factories. Needless to say, it took us 10 minutes to even take care of the factory only to fail extracting after not being able to destroy the rest of the factories. Insane stuff. There mustve been at minimum 14/16 gunships in the sky at one time

      I’ve been grinding with a fire build. It secretly is very good vs the bugs since fire has recently been buffed. I’ve just find new tweaks here and there to improve myself.

      Went from 2-3 shotting to now 3-4 shotting on average. It's still good, but it can make or break a engagement in the most difficult mode.

      People can't have fun in this game, the moment they do, the weapon you use will get nerfed. This is the game. There was no one who cried about it, but they looked at the stats and people used it to much, so now they gave people the F... like always... and this will happen over and over again with every weapon until nothing will be usable.

    Anyone fine with the quasar change wasn't using it right. 5 seconds is huge when you're the only person damaging the bile titan or you miss the eye on the hulk.

      No one is saying it isn't huge, but it was necessary. You shouldn't be the only person damaging the Bile titan, and missing a hulk's eye should have reprocussions other than, "I'll disengage for a few seconds and be fine."

    Seems like they dont want you to do damage against the big units. Not too happy about the quasar nerf. The buff for railgun seemed just as bad as it was. Blitzer is really fun now. Diff 6 is worse than helldive diff

    It just feels strange to me a co-op PVE game is getting so many % balance changes. Only stuff that genuinely tilts me is getting ragdolled and losing all control repeatedly

    They really should stop nerfing weapoms that people loved, instead just buff those underpower weapons, it's a PvE game, there's no need for any "weapon balancing". These weapons are manufactured to give us new ways to kill either bugs or automatons, what's the point for nerfing those factors.

      sure there is. balancing weapons in relation to enemies is what makes the game fun. imagine if every game just shredded everything easily there'd be no strategy. having strengths and weaknesses to everything is what makes everything enjoyable and establishes the tone of the game.

    Headshot change actually works on 100 armor value so light gunner for instance, tested with no vita boost unless mentioned. Format is ArmorValue, Number of Headshots taken, & HP remaining after(visual approximation). Used scavenger(wilbur) on an elevated platform so only headshots could be delivered.
    100A 2HS 5%HP | 129A 2HS 15%HP | 150A 2HS 20%HP (VitaBoost 3HS 5%HP) | 200A 3HS 5%HP (VitaBoost 3HS 25% HP)
    Some nice benefits on the low end, lackluster in the middle, and quite frankly not enough on the high end imo. 200 armor should be 4 headshots and live, and it can't do that even if we vita boosted, it does 25% of your hp per headshot at 200 armor while vita boosted.

    The infinite grenade glitch still works, you just have a "finite" amount of grenades when you do the glitch now. (over 4.2 billion grenades)

    If I had to give an all-or-nothing score, this is a bad patch. They nerfed the most picked primary (not one op primary) + "sligthtly" buffed automatons + crapped on solo/duo players with the spawn-rates increase. I personally expected the Qasar cannon to get nerfed, but +5 secs of cooldown seens like the "railgun treatment". Putting in as few words as possible: it seens to me that ArrowHead is failing to grasp how much something needs to get changed.

      Meanwhile anything with fire is still bugged six ways to sunday, nearly every other game my camera bugs out and I can only see from some crazy birds eye view or under the map, 70% of available weapons are straight up garbage but yeah lets't increase patrols for some reason. If they keep going like this they will be like every other live service dev after all. Hey our players are having fun but all those bugs and glitches are kinda ruining it, I know let's do some random nerfs and buffs so it looks like we are doing something.

      The changes to patrol spawns actually are way less bad than they sound. It's still very easy to get around all of the bot patrols, just a slight bit more annoying to deal with static objectives.

      First there is zero evidence the eruptor was ever the most picked primary, I most consistently had a balance of all weapons on my teams. Second saying the quasar got the "Railgun" treatment is just disingenuous, assuming you think (as I do) that the railgun had gotten gutted to the point of being barely used, how has that happened to the quasar? Its still a convenient infinite ammo recoiless rifle able to kill or maim most threats in one shot. It takes a little longer to fire again but its still way faster that waiting for EATs to come off cooldown XD
      Third are you saying they gutted the eruptor and quasar because you have used them first hand in-game and they felt bad? Or are you just saying the nerf is unjustified without actually experiencing the nerf like the majority of players do. (Case in point: people saying the breaker and slugger were made useless but they themselves never actually used them)
      I find it so ironic that people say arrowhead dont know what they or doing or dont play the game themselves when the people saying that never actually play to test the changes while the devs most likely did XD

    I don't particularly mind the nerfs they did, but I am worried. This isn't a game I play for difficulty or strategy. There are too many bugs and janky mechanics for me to take it seriously. These nerfs seem like they are intended to make things more "challenging", but I ask you this.
    What is more difficult about killing bots/bugs slower each patch? It's not like we are using real strategy, even at helldiver difficulty because the bots/bugs aren't smart enemies. This game feels like it's losing the reason it grasped me. To be an elite soldier that is akin to Achilles in combat capabilities. The challenge being introduced by consistent nerfs is really concerning.

      You know there’s a difficulty slider right? You can just not play at Helldive difficulty. Even I do that sometimes cuz I play the game for fun. Although I dunno about the sweats and tryhards but I enjoy the game regardless if I complete the mission or not.

    i love how they say they they dont want there to be a "meta" and all strategems to be viable, but keep nerfing the crap out of everything good. i was also told there was no change in difficulty between 1 and 4 players, due to it being a squad based game, it doesnt need to be easier at all for solo players.

      I mean, if everything is just the same version of bad, then there is no meta as well.
      Also for solo play versus squad play, it really made a huge difference, even tho we always were told that it would be better to work with a squad. And in theory that is true, you have more damage and a bigger variey of stratagems to deal with different situations. But in practice, especially against bots, you really could feel the difference. Having less patrols made the map a lot easier to traverse, and even bot drops were a lot easier to deal with. At least the flare ones, because scripted bot drops, like in the eradicate mission or for the geological survey mission always had the same number of dropships.

      @@GameFuMaster no, use your head and read the patch. They corrected an accidental buff applying to solo players, who had 1/6 of the spawns not 1/4 like youd expect. This means solo was actually easier than 4man at times

    Quasar nerf is over the top. A slightly longer cooldown I get like 1-2 seconds, but 5 , let alone on higher difficulties is just…ugh.
    Maybe if they just could buff weaker weapons for once instead of just nerfing “what’s the player base using”?

      This exactly.
      If you want to split people off from using the quasar, find what role it is filling and buff the other things that do that role.
      Reduce the call in time on the EAT.
      Fix the spears aiming/reload speed/ammo economy.
      I don't even use the quasar and that Nerf bugs me. Because it highlights a poor way of looking at balancing.

      Please count for us how many weapons got nerfed and how many buffed.
      Dominator is my primary of choice lately, just took it for a usual diff 7 five - performs exactly as before, at least for bugs.
      I'm gonna pick Eruptor more though, I was 100% sure they gonna nerf it to the ground but they just made missing shots less forgiving. I can live with that as long as I can oneshot at will those damned nursing spewers.

      It’s not even a big nerf, it goes from a shot every 13 seconds (10+3 windup) to every 18 seconds (15+3 windup). It still has infinite ammo, great damage, no backpack, benefits from cold planets, reloads itself even while sprinting.
      Do you remember the shield backpack nerf? Don’t people still run it, it’s still good, just not OP. You see other backpacks and weapons as well now though. It’s like that. You’ll forget it was nerfed in a week

    I would love a video that showcases/tests all the changes on different enemies. Particularly the changes to the armor pen of the railgun, whether the scorcher can still deal with striders and if the arc thrower can still stunlick hulks. :) love your videos, keep up the great work.

    Some people are upset about nerfing weapons in a co-op game, I'm perfectly fine with all that. What I'm not so fine with is this massive increase to patrol spawning in solo. If what I got to play briefly on difficulty 7 and 8 is any indication, that 50% increased patrol spawn crosses a line into making the game a constant onslaught which I didn't find as fun. I hope it was just a bad couple of missions because if it's like this I don't think I want to keep playing solo, and will instead spend that time playing Fallout New Vegas and other games. If the devs want to encourage people to play multiplayer they should work on making multiplayer a better experience rather than work on making solo a worse experience.

      I mean, I've tested these weapons and none aren't as "bad" if you haven't touched it. The only one that's worth mentioning is the quasar, since its not hard to image how slow it takes now than the other weapon changes. Like the Dom is relatively unchanged, albeit losing 25 damage.

    Edit: The most general response to being displeased to useless changes is “skill issue” and while that can be the case, being ignorant and choosing to ignore how bad weapons are (the heavy machine gun) just shows how you don’t really know what you’re doing and yeah they’re usable anything is, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s just bad

      They most likely have priorities and they are a small dev team, perhaps they have been planning on buffing other things but they just dont have the time to, since you know, they are a ~100 dev team working on a live service game that is pumping out new things nearly every other week for on average 200k players while also having to wait for sony to give them the go ahead on updates

      @@Harrizonio they’re no longer a sub-100 dev team, they confirmed on their discord that they’ve employed more people, so far still not convinced they can’t play test the weapons they’re actively ‘balancing’ and I never said they haven’t buffed anything, it’s just that the buffs they have done are sub-par and feel more like quick fixes to keep people happy until they test the weapons themselves, I appreciate everything everyone does no matter their job or position, so that little passive aggressive start was unnecessary

      5 sec longer cooldown between shots very unfun nerf. Old cooldown in very intence situations seemed too long now it will be eternity... Quasar Cannon was my pick because it shoots automatically when it's ready. I guess for most people Quasar Cannon and Railgun has similar or maybe the same shooting mechanic but for my brain they are like day and night.

    I dislike the difficulty increase for everyone not in a 4 squad group. And before you say to just lower difficulty, remember that Super Rare samples are locked to 7+ difficulty missions.
    Since this pushes a lot of people out of being able to play the difficulties with Super Rares, it also means that newer players will have a much harder time getting the very samples that allows them to get the ship modules that make surviving difficulty 7+ much easier.
    The pod redirection upgrade alone makes it so much easier to get out of a death spiral situation.

      Arrowhead explained that the solo players were mistakenly only getting 1/6 the patrols. This is now corrected to 1/4 the patrols. They aren't arbitrarily making solo harder than squad.
      Also, suggesting that you need ship upgrades to make high levels playable is balogna. The only one that makes much difference is the extra eagle drop and I don't think it even requires super samples. Unlocking guns and strategems is the only barrier to high difficulties besides skill.

A two person team is capable of putting out twice the firepower while taking twice the amount of damage before being defeated, thus two people are roughly four times as capable as one. That's not even getting into how seperate team members can specialize where solo players have to cover every role.
      It just makes sense to have nonlinear scaling.

The game was designed around co-op play and that's why many of us got the game and how it developed such a great community. You can still play solo if you want, but it doesn't need to be the exact same difficulty. Diving solo should be harder, and it is. That's fine. You can run a lower difficulty if you're having problems, so I don't see the concern.

Saying that they have to play on difficulties that don't give the rewards they need or having to play with randos if they have crippling anxiety issues is not OK.
      It's nowhere near the level of bait-and-switch that Darktide dropped on players, but that doesn't make it fair for people who paid for the game.

    The Scout Striders now require 2 Auto Cannon shots to kill. Nades also no longer kill them in one. This was the worst change in this patch imo cause Striders before this buff could swarm you if you didn't control them or if you ran out of nades and didn't bring the AC. I actually stopped using the Quasar in favor of the AC because of Striders and it was fun and very satisfying to one shot them with it. Who wanted this buff and why was it necessary? Why are we buffing the bots when they already scare away more than half the player base?

      This is a good point that I think is missed. We already see 30+% of the player base on bug missions with bot major orders. Making them more difficult to deal with in any way is not going to address that problem.

      @@soksocks Don’t know if it’s just me but a direct shot with an AC to the back of a Strider no longer kills it. It can sometimes take 3 shots as well if you hit them center mass. If you hit them near the top of their front plate, it’ll take 2.

    Funny enough, I view these changes as a real-time effect of the war. Enemies are upgrading their armor at a cost to some offensive weapons, Super Earth is running lower on resources and needed to cut back on certain things, or supply lines were affected by enemy attacks, and we have gotten upgrades to fend against enemy attacks.

    The Eruptor is the best hole/fabricator killer in the game right now, because its a primary, with long range and little falloff. Im not sure if it plugged holes when it came out, but it does now.

      They are bringing the weapons in line with each other so they are all viable choices. I don't want to be in more lobbies with 4 quasar cannons because it's just the best weapon. Now we have a reason to try other things. That's why the underused weapons got buffed. Try something you weren't using before. It's probably better than you think. And if it's too hard, turn down the difficulty - that's why there's nine levels.

      @@bodkin7841 But there would be near infinite other ways to make it more challenging, than just nerfing all the fun out of a shooter game, by making the guns have VERY little ammo, or make the gun do less damage than if you would just THROW the bullets at the enemy.
      Just increasing the amount of enemies by 25% and/or replacing some trash mobs (the smallest bugs & bots) with their bigger variants.. just those 2 changes would make the game harder, arguably even harder than just nerfing some guns damage by 7%. While still keeping the fun of 1 shotting the small enemies and watch the bits fly in every direction.. you know, making the guns feel strong.
      Cause if they keep this direction, soon one single Charger or Hulk is all thats gona spawn in a map, but cause all weapons have been nerfed into oblivion, it takes the whole squad and several resupply calls, to take it down.. fun ?

    The change to patrols is actually not that bad, they explained it better on their discord patch notes, idk why steam is different, but there are supposed to be 1/4th the amount of patrols as a solo compared to in party of 4, what was actually happening was there was about 1/6th of the patrols. So they increased it, to the intended 1/4th, when comparing to a party of 4

    Just completed a few missions. Ran the good ‘ol Eruptor, Laser Rover and Quasar combo with Redeemer.
    Did I notice the nerfs? Yes
    Did I die a single time (on lvl9)? No
    Did I consistently have a high kill count? Yes
    Will I continue running this loadout as my main? Absolutely

    Even when they add something in their patchnote it doesn't work. The victory pose at the end is still played by all players, even the ones that failed extraction. Those devs are starting to look like a joke after the 4th tier ship modules not working as intended... for weeks.

    I think people need to actually try the things they changed rather than having a reactionary take on them. There are a fair number of changes I don’t like, namely the eruptor ammo nerf, but for the most part I think everything else is fine barring a few things but I don’t expect to agree on everything they do. I haven’t tested out all the weapon changes yet, but the ones I have tried don’t seem to be as big of a deal as everyone keeps saying, especially the quasar cannon change. Some weapons that were nerfed even got a buff, like the crossbow having a smaller explosion radius but faster projectiles and more stagger. It might be a bigger deal for people who use the crossbow regularly but I usually switched between various weapons instead of using the same one over and over again.

      "Shit ton of nerfs" about 3 out of 24 weapons were substantially nerfed and a few others had a balance of nerfs and buffs. And "slight buffs", Id rather something get a little buff as a proof of concept than a big buff that throws the balance all out of wack.
      As for the solo difficulty thing, they stated the spawns were easier than intended. Simple. If you find it too hard, nothing is stopping your from reducing your difficulty

Stealth, big booms etc. Its meant to be hard and close to impossible in some cases, its meant to be a struggle, thats the point. It sucks that there are resources locked behind 7 and up but again, just play with randoms. I can garuntee they can even sometimes carry

I have played with randos i have been carried by a level 11 and yes i do get kicked more often then not. I seem to have play a different game to everypne else ive even tried Ervins stealth guid stuff eith smokes and other things and still get got by 10 enemies through smokes

    If they are saying that the mob spawn rate for solo will be more noticeable at higher difficulties, then it's gonna be nearly non stop pats. Even as low as medium, it's near impossible not to get swamped.

    I already thought that the quasar cannon was a bit slow, but adding an additional five seconds is CRAZY. Now it's reserved for, what, the stationary turrets?

    Dont know if this was mentioned but there seems to be an issue with the plasma punisher and the sheild back pack where if youre shield is active the punisher plasma will deal damage to you when you shoot. I think it hits your sheild

    The devs have whined a lot about the difficulties of having this unexpected success and large playerbase. Good news for them, they won't need to worry about that much longer if they insist on ruining the fun with every balance patch.

    Eruptor nerf wasn’t that bad imo, atleast for how I use it. It always had atleast 6 mags left in it and usually sat around 9. As for the AOE falloff, I mostly used the eruptor for medium enemies and the couple times I go for crowd damage I aim for where the shrapnel will do the most damage

    12:00 You can try binding both dive and climb to spacebar, but setting dive to Tap and climb to Hold button. Been using these binds since i got the game and they work pretty well.

    May go against popular opinion, not sure what it is at the moment, but the Eruptor change may have been a slight net buff. The utility is still there, can still close bug holes and explode fabricators. The mag reduction does hurt... but with the very slow RoF, I think I saw the calculation out there that you would have had to shoot constantly for close to three minutes to burn through all the clips.
    The reduction of AoE is a double-edged sword. Yes, it will no longer be able to down a scout strider by hitting the front plate. However, it is a primary weapon. And as a primary weapon, if the enemies got in close range of you or your teammates it is useless. Coupled with the implosion fix, the Eruptor may now actually be more viable as a primary. Just need to pair it with the right strats.
    Also, since the AoE is smaller, does that mean the concentration of damage is increased? If so, would that mean it will perform even better versus bigger enemies?

      Been running eruptor/ grenade launcher with orbit laser and railcannon on bugs and bots. Can destroy everything. This sucks

    I will never understand nerfing instead of bringing weapons up.
    Nerfing is always going to piss people off. Instead if you make the other weapons better you can lure people towards different play styles.
    You don't need to nerf the quasar, you need to buff alternatives for the quasar.

      Devs don’t want players being too powerful against enemies, which is what only buffing would lead to.
      the game would become too easy.. and then they buff enemies to compensate, and then all weapons feel weaker. there has to be a balance point.

      @@komplex6081increasing spawn rates isn’t going to solve any problem if we can just one shot them. Just because it’s a PVE game doesn’t fact that stuff needs to get nerf. Look at Destiny or warframe where stuff gets nerf all the time to balance the game.

      Have you considered there is a limit to how many enemies can be spawned without affecting performance?
      But more importantly, does that make it more fun? Instead of 3 bile titans, now there’s 6, and you can mow them down easily?
      You think that’s a good outcome?

    I know this probably isn’t a popular opinion, but the quasar needed the nerf now other AT options are viable. It’s still really good it’s an unlimited ammo AT weapon. If you want to fire faster now there’s actually a reason to bring the recoilless.

    They need to have someone that actually plays this game alot on the balance team. Most of these changes seem useless/out of left field because most people don't use 90% of the weapons anyways. Whats the point of a minor buff/nerf to any of them, people wont start using anything but a breaker or a scorcher without large buffs.

    12:06 You can leave your diving keybind on space and put it on 'tap' and put your climbing keybind on space too but on 'hold'. That's how I use them and the don't conflict with one another.
