    The best aspect of the HMG is it makes you realize the standard MG-43, given to you in the tutorial, is a good gun.

      I'll need to try the MG now that the ammo upgrade works, getting only 1 mag on resupply packs before was so painful. Should be easier to let the lead fly now.

      Only thing I dont like about the original machine guns is the slow ergonomics compaired to all other weapons. Sometimes feels like I am trying to swing a HMG emplacement around to kill that 1 stalker sniffing in my ear.
      Other than that they have awsome sustainability especially with supply pack but with the current slow aim not really better than say drone with laser cannon combo and either dominator or sickle on cooldowns.

      @@Raven5431 the ergonomics is fine, it's no worse then the AMR which is fucking AMAZING against bots btw, (seriously, it's fantastic, i basically destroy all devs with it between 1-3 shots and it can kill a bezerker in 2-4 shots really quickly)

    Yeah they gave it a reticle which was nice, but this gun needs to either be doing 3x more damage per bullet, or have 3x more ammo per mag.

      More ammo. The HMG only has 75 rounds per magazine. That's not an MG. That's an insult.
      The 'Get Some!' Achievement sets the bare minimum requiring 150 rounds to be fired in a single continuous burst. That's the kind of 'volume by fire' that an MG is meant to fulfill.
      The ammo count per magazine for an MG in HD2 is 150 MINIMUM. Otherwise it's an AR with an extended mag.

      @@graveyardshift6691 There's both pros and cons to this. A larger magazine count means a larger magazine. The idea is that each MG gets progressively larger rounds. If I had to put an IRL equivocal to them (I'm not claiming this is what the guns in game are calibered in) it'd be like the Stalwart is shooting the 5.56mm, the MG-43 is shooting a 7.62mm, and the HMG is shooting an 12.7mm (or a .50 cal.) So that's just the simple physics of more bigger bullets means more space is required.
      The pro to this is that a larger dead weight hanging under the gun means that kick back recoil should be reduced as even if it's not ideally positioned, any counter force like an additional weight pulling down as the gun's kicking up should help off set the rotational acceleration. The con to this is that I can only imagine that the reload is going to get slowed down to painful, we'll get 1 spare mag since it is more weight, and the reticle lag will be something evil as we're trying to swing a round a gun that weights 5-15% more depending on how much more ammo is shoved in there.
      Also, just saying, I wouldn't arbitrarily categorize weapons based on things like magazine size. I mean before it's first nerf, the HMG technically was the second fastest firing SMG on the account of fire rate. Knight has 1,380 rpm and the HMG was able to shove all 75 of it's round out at 1,200 rpm. Does fire rate make a gun an SMG, kind of and kind of not. It's one of the features that does, but if you went by fire rate alone, then technically you could have claimed that the best SMG in the game for some time was the HMG.🤣🤣

      They should just give it a back pack slot for a belt-fed system so you have like 300 ammo and no reload until you run out. Would be better, funnier and balanced bc of the backpack slot

    Your frustration reflects pretty much all my solo helldives since the recent patch. In those early weeks, Helldivers felt like a game for everyone. With every update they seem to be hell-bent on making this a game for no one. One step forward, three steps back. But hey, at least we got a speed-loader - still optimistic they'll turn it around!

      If by turning it around you mean buffing everything up so that average gamers can win consistently on 8-9 difficulties, then you'll be severely disappointed. And that's not a game for everyone, it's just easy mode.
      Every new patch I find new loadouts to play with and it renews my interest in the game. If they didn't do anything or maybe only buffed everything, I would have already moved on to other games because I was already winning with the op weapons, I don't need MORE op weapons to keep me interested, I need a challenge.
      If you didn't mean all that, and you meant fixing bugs and start catching up with things like the Spear lock problems, the host DOT bug then I completely agree with you. I wouldn't even mind if they skipped a warbond release just to catch up with the bug list.

      As someone who only plays Co-Op, Arrowhead PLEASE keep nerfing general playstyles and buff specialist weapons, I want to see people who just run off on their own die and people who work together and bring diverse load outs into Co-op succeed, as Co-op games should be.

      Please stop parroting this.
      We want EVERY GUN to effectively fulfill a niche so there's actually a choice between them.
      As it stands the viable pool of weapons hasn't actually expanded much at all bc they make the good weapons non-viable every time a new 1 is made functional.
      I've seen this method of balance back in DS2 where the community gives 2-3 reasonable methods that would each work on their own to nerf an OP weapon, but keep it competitive and the devs go "so both right?" and kill it's viability.
      It just feels as though they want the mediums in this game to feel like mini bosses when they're a 3rd of the spawn pool.
      While I generally agree that not everyone should be able to solo Helldive, that's only being done on missions where you can easily clear said objectives. Anything like Eradicate, defend rockets, & priority civilians still require a team to have any hope of completing.
      And as a spear main, I totally agree that fixing bugs and lacking mechanics is needed. Console Railgun, Host-only DOTs, and Spear lock-on directly make certain weapons almost unplayable at random. Even a rough fix like allowing the Spear to be fired manually b4 lock-on or team reloads to use the owner's backpack ammo if you lack one so the community actually starts applying that mechanic.

      @@sirgaz8699 That's exactly what they are trying to do. Horizontal balancing is best for co-op games that don't want to siphon money from battlepasses and similar FOMO crap.
      They aren't gods, they will make mistakes or need to rethink some changes like the railgun but this is an evolving game and it NEEDS to keep changing to keep it fresh.
      But people are willing to even throw logic out of the window and start believing in 'the devs don't know what they are doing and they hate the players' argument is more legit than 'you don't know shit about how game design works and you are coping'.
      That requires humility while saying that the devs are somehow hateful of their player base and they are actively trying to make their own game worse and lose their job in the process is more logical in their mind. Crazy huh?

      Devs want balance while the game contains clearly superior weapons compared to others.
      The issue is fundamental, every weapon needs to be changed globally or the issue will persist.
      There are two problem, stagger and penetration.
      Certain weapons have NO stagger, others have NO penetration. There's even weapons like the liberator that lack BOTH.
      Game will never have balanced weapons if guns like the dominator can penetrate AND stagger while dealing enough damage to one tap big bots.
      Give every weapon SOME stagger, and SOME penetration. Have they not learned the teachings from OG Doom?
      Every weapon staggered an enemy, the difference was the enemy itself having more or less resistance to staggering.
      Armor only prevents a bullet from going through, but it will not stop the force of the bullet.
      Did these devs ever _shoot_ a real gun?

      The fact that prone is nearly never usable and provides no actual bonuses (bipods do exist on weapons but don't actually do anything) is frustrating. There is enough foliage, coupled with the camera angle and also the ever-present Silent Hill fogs that, aside from the fact that unless you're firing from 100m away (a distance at which you can't see anything most of the time because of said fog, and most weapons can't reliably hit anyway) everything within 2 map-cells will come charging towards you, that being prone is almost always a disadvantage.
      You trade mobility (which is absolutely mandatory to not insta die in this game) for the ability to land maybe one or two shots accurately for free, and the only weapons that you would ever actually use this for are the AMR, marksman rifles anyway, which handle just fine without being prone.
      The game is just a mess of stupid design decisions that are all fighting each other.

      @@shemsuhor8763 The problem is Ammo. If the MGs had way more ammo I think recoil, accuracy and damage wouldn't be such a problem as you could you rain suppressing fire on hordes or concentrate it on heavy enemies. But right now you spend more time reloading than firing.

Same effect, twice the HMG, 4x's the ammo (300 rounds across two guns meaning 150 per gun which is 75 double,) about the same mobility as proned fire with the single machine gun, about 99% less recoil. Is it better than taking the HMG? With how many requirements there are to make it viable, I'd argue more on the probable side.

    I want to like the heavy machine gun, I really do, but it's just so bad. It handles poorly, has no ammo, takes forever to reload, and doesn't even feel like it does enough damage. Resolving even two of those issues would go a long way to making it better, but the best Arrowhead has done for it is give it a third person crosshair. Don't get me wrong, that improves it immensely, but it should also tell you just how bad of a state the HMG is in.

    With that reload speed it needs 100 rounds.
    And fighting patrols is the weakest part of helldivers 2. Magical bullshit enemies that literally spawn around you should not be the focus of the games difficulty.

      patrols weren't like this when the game launched. They never seemed to magically appear near you. Encounters felt more organic. They changed that in the first balance patch because they were so horrified that people were beating Helldives so soon.

      This is why I’d rather be sneaky and avoid patrols and just make my way to the objective before I screw things up because by the time you know it, reinforcements will deplete

    The problem with the HMG is you have to use like 3 slots just to make it ok. Supply backpack, stun grenades, and the HMG. Then everything else basicly has to be "meta" to compensate. Tried it like 3 times before concluding it sucks.

    I'm like 90% certain that the devs screwed up patrol spawn rates across the board, again. They were explicit that 4 stacks should be unaffected. Instead, every group size at every difficulty report similar things, massively overtuned spawn rates.
    I only run in 4 stacks on Helldive and the difference is very noticeable. Turn a corner, patrol. Run past the patrol you just killed and turn around, patrol. Keep finding myself surrounded on all sides no matter what.
    So, I expect they'll eventually figure out that they goofed again and this will get reverted at some point. Hopefully that happens at the same time they fix the stupid tanks crashing your game. I don't even bother with bots right now since you never know when killing a tank is going to send you to desktop.

      I get what they were going for with making it 1/4 patrol spawn per diver, but with each diver the advantage is exponentially greater. Two players can take out a patrol more than twice as fast as one diver. It's similar to if you've ever had to do a two man's job at work by yourself, it'll take longer than twice as long, depending on the work of course. Go do something like mow and weed whack your lawn by yourself without skipping corners, then next week do it with a friend the same way. Something that'll take an hour by yourself can be 20 minutes with another.

      Did a mission the other night and 2 of us had over 600 kills, one had 480, and the other guy was in the 500's. that's insane.

      Felt that on bugs, got a really bad team and they kept spawning over and over over, like there was no end to the enemies, even with localization scrambler.

      It definitely feels that way. 7s feel like 9s now sometimes with the amount and types of enemies that spawn. If there’s 3 stalker nests on a 7, I’ve been seeing all six show up on a breach. It’s pretty insane when you’re just cruising trying to help some randoms get some super samples.

      Squad. Might be viable if you find other support weapons in the wild, but it's a squad weapon. It's in that non-existent niche of mid-sized clearance. You've got your chaff/mob clearance, light armor clearance (which is just more chaff and mob just more "rare" kinds like the jet-pack commissar,) mid-sized medium armor mobs which are brood commanders, hive guards, bile spewers, nursing spewers, devastators, rocket devastators, and strider scouts, and then heavy duty (everything that requires the old railgun to punch through.) Anything that can clear heavies can clear mids and everything smaller. Anything that clears small stuff focuses on that and the rest of the squad deals with the bigger targets. This mid range is already dealt with via heavy clearance weapons.
      It fails because it's presented as a mob and mid clearing weapon with heavy weapon limitations and cons. The pros are quickly kicked to the curb by its cons because the pros are that it deals a respectable amount of damage and that it can penetrate medium armor. But recoil, mag size, reload time, and the precision needed for the medium armor penetration just happens for like 1 or 2 shots before it pulls high and you're now dumping 50 rounds of your mag into the background.

    Honestly it is seeming more like Arrowhead is pushing the game in a direction that THEY like playing in. Like, they play in groups during internal testing, their QA team would primarily play with a four-stack group, because that's how they expect players to play. As such, all their balancing is around a four-man stack of relatively experienced players, who are communicating well.
    Very few testers and QA staff would play solo Helldive, so none of their balancing even considers it. Look at the Quasar nerf - they add five seconds to it, and they say "Well, you have the Recoilless Rifle, which can be team-reloaded for quick fire!", except unless you're playing with friends, or you come up against a VERY accommodating random player, you'll ALWAYS been reloading it yourself.
    In random matches, you always need to one-man-army it because you can't rely on teammates to fill the gaps in your loadout. I NEED to bring AT every game, even if I don't want to, because I've had uncommunicative teammates, ALSO with AT, completely ignore Spore and Shrieker Nests, even while they're getting shredded by them and I'm pinging, saying and typing to PLEASE destroy the nest/tower.

      For me they usually stop ignoring the shrieker nest when I begin soloing it with the recoilless, and I just sit there watching projectiles bounce off the nest wondering how they manage to aim for the only part that doesn't work

    THANK YOU, my god man the pain of using a controller in this game sometimes. I get there's a balance to it where it has to be fun and challenging for both sides, but watching the way you take out hordes like john wick so accurately and quickly panning between targets... I am not able to that whatsoever, it's simply not possible.
    I want a pc but im on the move a lot and love being able to bring my ps5/series x to my gfs place or from the living room to my "man cave" etc

      Grab a gaming laptop if you're on the move a lot. They can be fairly expensive, but I get a lot of use out of mine, especially considering I'm on the move a lot too. I've had my msi gs65 stealth for roughly 5 years, and it still holds up great.

      Normally, I'd argue that this has way more rounds than the railgun, but truth be told by the time all the rounds are shot, you've either taken out as many or fewer enemies than you could with the current railgun's entire ammo stock. It's the sad reality of both. They aren't what they ought to be; an electro magnetically accelerated projectile flinging terror and the Stalwart's "bigger cousin".

    HMG has so many issues ranging from misaligned sights, massive recoil despite prone + fort armor, low ammo count per box and total reloads, blinding muzzle flash, and super long reload process. The only redeeming thing about the HMG is that it has very high raw damage (it shreds berserkers) and enough pen to reliably kill mediums and the weak points on heavier stuff (if the mentioned issues allow you to even hit the weak points). MMG is less horrible regarding recoil but its even worse against heavy targets and still have the ammo + reload downsides.
    Maybe in the future if they release some ranged fighting high HP, low armor enemies where you need raw volume of firepower then the MGs can have a viable role. Right now its just sacrificing 1-2 stratagem slots to do what can basically be done with your primary.

      The reload is 4 seconds if you don't empty the gun. super quick to get it swapped out and then back in action. I still agree it needs 100 rounds per mag. It's supposed to be a man portable version of the HMG emplacement. So in theory It should have 100 rounds per mag. Equal to the HMG emplacement which has 300 rounds total but is fixed in place. Also a little more damage wouldn't hurt. Maybe 10-15% more.

      There is the Achievement 'GET SOME!' which requires you to fire a single continuous burst of 150 rounds minimum and kill 10 enemies in that single burst.
      This achievement can be accomblished by any rapid fire weapon with enough ammo in a single box. The 150 base MG we start with. The 250 Stalwart, 300 round HMG placement, and the 1000 round minigun in the Patriot.
      Sentries do not count toward this achievement.
      The 'Get Some!' Achievement is the bare minimum cap that Arrowhead set for themselves for something to be classified as a MG. If it doesn't qualify for this, it an assault rifle with an extended magazine.

    much like with the Airburst Rocket Launcher, the best way to use HMG is to avoid using it as much as possible. The hallmark of a fun, useful and well-balanced weapon.

      Technically, hellbombs are mini-nukes. Shooting a nuclear warhead will not trigger a nuclear explosion. They do have other explosive triggers, which you may set off, but it would not yield a nuclear explosion, and that is also _extremely_ unlikely. You're more likely to break something that makes sure it has no chance of exploding at all.
      The fact that there are a bunch of half-broken hellbombs lying around on planets that will explode if you so much as sneeze at them is, as such, very unrealistic as well.

      @@Myrkish Naw even the broken Hellbombs make sense.
      Those bombs were armed ether before or after being dropped but suffered a misfire. That means they're primed to hit critical mass but there was a problem with the priming mechanism so it didn't fire all the way like it was supposed to.
      But it's unstable meaning the slightest jostle is enough to shake loose the malfunctioned primer charge and complete the critical mass necessary.
      Boom.
      Misfires happen all the time, especially with explosives and equipment that are old and have been just sitting in storage for years on end.
      The Hellbombs we call in are stable and haven't been armed yet so they don't explode.

      Fun fact, C4 is both flame and impact inert, that means you can burn it and smash it and it won't detonate, the only way to detonate it is either electrically or with another explosion. In fact very few modern explosives detonate from percussion, so unless you have incendiary ammo there is an exceedingly rare chance of detonating a bomb by shooting it.

      Well we win the shit lottery in this game every night we play. I’ve had chargers sneak up on my group unheard, I have bugs climb on me so I can’t stand up, I’ve had turrets turn and shoot me when I specifically positioned myself behind them not to be shot by it, I’ve been one shot by flying dead bodies of enemies I’ve killed, I’m instantly burnt by tornadoes silently surrounding me on the objective, I’ve had beacons bounce backwards and stick to me. It’s excessive sometimes how stupid it gets, like we’re death magnets sometimes.

      is not particular to this community, is the nature of the internet... as long as humans been around opinions have been around, only now is way too easy to "voice" whatever stupid thought they happen to have oozing out of their heads... most weapons are useable (apart from a few exceptions) in the right conditions, so folks throw words like "underrated", and think they are special for noticing something most people wouldn't agree even if true, like as if they had found a rough diamond and whatnot... what is annoying actually, is that arrowhead seem to be having a bad time filtering out stupid comments and criticism, and in turn making counterproductive changes to the game...

      It's called bias, but it differs of course, because everyone has different tolerances to what's acceptable and what isn't. What I notice about this community though is how MOST of them impartial they can be. I have seen a handful call the latest update THE BEST but most of them are just like, yeah it's a decent patch. Some nerfs that we do not agree with, but for the most part, there are more buffs that make other weapons actually viable. And then there are the rage ones who react upon reading the patch notes without even trying out the new patch, so you get all kinds.

    This was my issue with the new patrol changes. Makes it nearly impossible to clear objectives without another patrol group running up to your locations and just starting that clear process all over again. You are no longer being rewarded with time for clearing enemies. Really lame change in all honesty.

      It's like what Dough says, because of how arbitrary this is, it makes people experiment even less with weapons. Devs shouldn't force players to play in groups, some want to go solo and that should be an option without it being overly punishing.

      It's a Co-op game but 1/2 the community, even while playing Co-op, play like they are solo. L4D and the Dark/VerminTide have hard CC you need a team to save you from, HD2 doesn't do that. I am all for them nerfing generalist weapons that prevent "versatile" solo play, I want them to buff heavy armor so they have to work with the guy who brought the RR/Spear and if Anti-Armor guy gets swarmed he needs the MG/flamer guys help and if he doesn't they need to spawn more/buff hunters.
      I want a fun Co-op game to play with my friends not a solo farming simulator and they are balancing as such.

Out of the 200 missions and 200 hours I have played, I can count on one hand how many times everyone moved as a unit together through 100% map completion with half time left. Then it's about 50/50 that you either have groups of 2 or everyone runs off in different directions to raw dog solo objectives.
      I have spent so much time spending the whole match desperately trying to keep up with someone and they'll bail ASAP leaving you behind as bait for breaches/drops. Gamers these days absolutely refuse to play in ways a game is intended to be played yet will keep playing it and fight the devs for changes to accommodate what they want.

    What I hate most about this arbitrary increase in patrols is that nobody is benefiting from it.
    The people that were running in full squads to begin with (and are probably the first to call this kind of post "whining") were not negatively impacted by others running in groups of 1-3.
    The people running in groups of 1-3 had their reasons to do so and will just get demotivated by this arbitrary slap in their faces.
    And as for the "it's to make the different squad sizes have a balanced experience": Assuming linear scaling of squad effectiveness led to a clearly less balanced and worse player experience. Even with a team of "randoms" there is a lot of synergy boosting effectiveness to more than simply "4x a solo player".

      Delete the HMG, just give the MG-43 the penetration of the HMG. There's just no reason the HMG exists. It does nothing well, it's not fun to use, and it's too weak in its current state.

      They've given us access to gyro/motion controls. I'd highly recommend learning how to use them. They're just as accurate as mouse and keyboard once you get the hang of them, and they're super easy to learn. Spend an hour on gyro and you'll start to get the hang of it. 1 week, and it'll feel completely natural.

      Proposed HMG change: Reduce ammo count to 10. Increase per shot damage. Add required backpack slot as a nerf.

    THE BEATINGS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE AMMO COUNT IS CHANGED.
    Until this weapon qualifies for the 'Get Some!' achievement which is the hard minimum cap Arrowhead set for MG weapons, it is garbage tier and not to be used.
    150 round MINIMUM Arrowhead! Make it fucking happen!

      Personally I think they just screwed up again and accidentally overtuned them... again...
      4 stacks were supposed to be unaffected. But patrols are popping up way more often across the board, no matter your group size or difficulty setting.
      Like as not they'll patch it eventually whenever they get around to recognizing their mistake. I imagine solo will still be tough but not "infinite conga line of spawning patrols" tough.

    I love this game so much and I solo about 75% of the time on 4-5. I don't care to "git gud". This... This does not look fun. Why would anyone subject themselves to this and call it fun? It was so obvious he was not having a good time this round. This goes beyond being a "war simulator" and becomes just utter chaos. The devs have set the game up to be a battalion vs one man on solo at this point. It's stupid.

    HMG emplacement is great for Automaton extermination 12 minutes missions. If you place it correctly, it will take down so many enemies and the feeling is just chefs kiss.

    The thing with the smokes is that, if they _are_ working, the bots will still shoot at your last known location. So it's not a good idea to be standing at the place you want to be when the smokes come down.

    My buddies and I are on a break from this game. The spawn rates right now are such that it feels like you can never create any space between you and the enemy. You just kite the enemies from location to location so its a relentless slog with what seems like no breaks in the action. By mission end there are so many enemies being thrown at you that no amount of gear seems to keep up. The fun has been ripped from this game. There will be plenty of people more skilled than my friends and I but I have to wonder how many people are actually having fun with these changes.

      and it doesn't even have the range or projectile speed of the MG-43, so it's not like you even CAN use it at long range. It's almost exclusively a close or close-medium range weapon that handles like garbage in the scenarios it's supposed to be used for.

    After watching this video there's only two sane reactions that could possibly be had.
    1. They need to nerf the Scorcher.
    2. Instead of the audio queue your character should completely freeze while the game conti ues to play and a window comes up on the screen that says you are in range of enemy artillery do you want to continue and you manually have to click yes to move again.

      Also increase headshot chances by 300%. Upgrade every bot's photoreceptors to the most advanced technology available, allowing them to see through both smoke and solid walls.
      Also increase hunter spawn rates by 500%, including Automaton planets

    I believe the single longest reload in the game is the hmg when it’s out of ammo
    Airburst is about 5 seconds if you don’t dive cancel and 4 if you do
    Hmg is like 8 I think
    It’s been a while since I’ve touched it for obvious reasons

      HMG reload time is 6.5 seconds. Which feels about like 3 minutes when standing perfectly still under heavy fire. Pretty useless weapon

      I went back and double tested the airburst and it’s 5.5ish normal and around 5 if you cancel which is still not terrible considering it’s still an rpg and a portable cluster bomb
      6.5 seconds that you can’t cancel out of for 75 underpowered bullets is just so ass

      It's definitely in my top favs, but I don't wear it anymore because of the incorrect cape model. The cape floats off of the armor at the shoulders and after the most recent patch, it's significantly noticeable. :(

    I find its easier to take out the hulks by switching to max fire rate, and then tap firing instead of holding L1. Full auto just isnt controllable.
    EDIT: But yeah the 75 mag is punishing for no reason. The long reload is already punishment enough. 100-125 would still be tough but at least a little more fair.

    i think what happens with the smoke screen is, that it breaks line of sight and when the enemy doesnt see you anymore they continue firing or walking at the spot they saw you last...so if you throw the smoke but keep staying at the exact same spot it feels like its not doing anything

      Yeah the dumb bots will shoot at where they last saw you. If you aggro them, and then break LoS, they'll just keep shooting at nothing.

    Once you started talking about how you weren't having any fun at 42:02, I felt that. I play solo because I don't have many online friends that play this game. I also like to play at my own pace while clearing and experiencing everything the map has to offer. I play lvl 4 difficulty because it seemed appropriate for my style of play, but now, I basically get a patrol at every corner. I clear one patrol, another one takes it place immediately after and I am constantly grinding my way through them towards objectives. This really isn't that much fun anymore. I enjoyed myself before when I could clear one group of patrols, maybe a bug breach, have some time to pat myself on the back, plan my next POI, collect some resources, and fight again. Now it's just fighting them off seemingly every minute of the 40-minute game.
    You said it Dough, 66 stims used, yeah they messed up on this patch.

    Here's how to make the HMG a weapon ppl will use: it's already useless w/o a backpack, so make it feed FROM a backpack mag with all the possible ammo, with no reloads. just like the HMG turret.

    We need armor upgrade station where you complete research quests wearing certain armor like grenade kills on servo assist to upgrade the boosts abilities so they feel important.
    High level fortified could make you ragdoll immune (which would have been a game changer in this video)
    Servo assisted could make your metal limbs deflect direct weak attacks
    Scout could radar the entire map
    Field medic could let you be an ACTUAL medic instead of a junkie by letting you heal your teammates for free (minus the long animation)
    Engineering could let you carry more mags with more ammo in them and reload faster
    Extra padding could reduce stagger and give more armor
    We also need a melee armor and a speed armor thats like extra padding but for the other 2 stats
    Capes and helmets need boosts like reduced fore and fall damage boosts for capes and gas immunity and headshot bonus damage nullification for helmet boost

      I would love Servo-Assisted to boost melee damage and stagger. That or Muscle Enhancement could both buff your melee. Makes sense that if something boosts throwing range, it also boosts striking power! And without even a bayonet available, we should be able to augment the standard melee somehow. Really, REALLY odd design choice considering the last bayonet charge was in literally only 20 years ago! Especially with so many melee focused enemies like 90% of the bug roster, why don't we have even just a bayonet option? Seems like it'd be useful for fighting off hordes of bugs that charge at you.

      @@jooot_6850 that was my original idea for servo to boost melee but i think it would be better if it was on its own armor that way we can get some melee themed armor.
      like a more viking themed one with stalker claws strapped to the arms.
      or one that makes you look like a bot berserker, chainsaws and all.
      And of course we need one with the trench shovel.
      But if it was tacked on to servo we wouldn't get these designs.
      Also the number of melee buffs i want the armor to have would make servo look busted on paper. Melee is so weak and situational that a boost that makes it a viable tactic over other boosts (especially upgraded ones) would have to give it:
      Jar5 dominator levels of stagger, damage, penetration and attack rate and possibly even a range increase and/or even an area of effect.
      I also think it would be cool if they add melee weapons to the pistol slot like said shovel that has longer range or the super earth flag that does default damage but raises speed while out and makes scavengers and raiders run away.

    Dude, I usually like playing around lvl 6 or 7, even solo. But, with the recent changes I dropped down to challenging and my experience this morning, literally looked similar to what you was going through. And I didnt even have gunships. I'd fight a couple patrols and be finishing an objective, when all of a sudden, 2+ more patrols showed up.
    Playing solo right now can be a literal nightmare.
    Also, I'm on PS5 and the HMG is complete garbage. For me, at least.

      yeah scorcher was putting in more work than the HMG. and that is NOT a good sign, your primary shouldn't be your primary weapon... especially with machine gun type weapons, they should be your first pick when engaging a group of enemies.
      Useless weapon.
