Got into DTF with no prior knowledge at all, starting out with an EPSON L1800 that often runs into issues which can be VERY frustrating, but this video really shed a light and inspired me to keep on pushing forward!

my yellow channel is not printing after I took out the cartridge and tilted the printer and left it one day. do you think it is the damper or the printhead? I moved it from my store to my home. I have p5000 used for regular picture printing, not dtf. if the cartridges were refillable then the acrorip will work without the yellow channel right?

So I have been running my Audley for Almsot 3 Years now, 8-10 hours a day and just replace my first printhead a week ago. I put it to sleep every night with a little distilled water in the capping station and wake it up with a quick head cleaning and go to printing. This seems a little crazy to me.
you ever tried OKAI dtf machines? it is a small 24" one. do you recommend it? i wanted to print my own stuff and i would print a lot of my own stuff not really anyones prints. i use to do dtg but hated the whole process so i am hoping the feel of the print is not too bad on the shirt. let me know and thanks in advance!

most of the times it's the manifold's iner-filter not the printhead's nozzles.......get extra manifolds, if the new prinhead don't print it's the ink's viscosity (check ink's temp first)

I purchased a craft dtf printer 1390 spent 2k but it's a nightmare.I just rather order transfers. For my business so much easier I'm already a screen printer and that's a nightmare in itself. You guys do a lot as a small team.
Screen printing is not hard you just have to have all the right equipment. A good press, conveyor, flash dryer, dry cabinet, rip software, seperation software etc. I love it.

Custom service cleaning screen managing jobs etc. we use printavo and rip etc but running a shop like where i work is 1000 to 3000 a day printed garments. Its not to much tell me

It looks like it is an Audly DTF printer. It is a Chinese product. I am curious what happened to the print head? it sounds like it is expensive to replace. AND in the end is it worth it? this kind of industrial printers, or is it a complete headache? people want to know.
Yes, Audley…a Chinese printer. You can frt printheads from $970-$1500 depending in your source. Kinda expensive, but mine last about 12,000-25,000 linear ft so the per foot cost of replacement is in the cents. It’s a lot of work for sure but still worth it in my opinion

All these fancy color printers ( DTF, DTG, Eco-Solvent, UV, etc) use printheads that require a huge amount of attention. If you don't have enough business volume to keep these printers running EVERY DAY, you are bound to have EXPENSIVE and TIME CONSUMING PROBLEMS. They use piezo printheads that have micro print holes that WILL CLOG if not used constantly. Printheads are expensive and so is technical service. From a color printer technician.

Fair enough. ☺☺ The truth, as the video shows, is that DTF printing is not a plug and play business and DTF printers are not like desktop printers. That was my thinking going in, and it was a real eye opener to me how much needed to get done. There's a lot of backend work, maintenance, and expenses involved in running a DTF business. I made the video to show some of that instead of talking about it. I apologize if the video wasn't explicit enough to to convey any of that.

You're right. We are a bit bigger than when we started . We started with a Cricut Air 2, 15" x 15" Amazon heat press and $0 for shirts and stuff. In the beginning, we had to borrow money from time to time so we can buy shirts to fulfill orders. Please believe in yourself. You can do it, too!

I noticed your pvc tubes, are you using them for venting? I don't have windows in my garage, are you venting out of your gas furnace vent?
yes, they're for venting. I drilled a hole through my garage wall so I can install an AC system as well.

I'm sorry but I haven't tried it yet. All I've used are Audley, Mongoose 2 and Raptor 2 printers.

Hi! The small printer prints about 50sqm/hr. The pront head lasts 3-6 minths, depending in how well you take care of it.

about 15-25 ft, depending on the day's temp, humidity and the printer's mood that day.
i would consider a ultrasonic bath with solvent to clean the clugged up printheads
I’ve thoilught about that but printers I’ve talked to say it ruins the piezo element in the printhead

Sometimes we're able to reclaim them with a flush. At other times, not so lucky.
