I never had SNES. I'm only emulating it and the Tetris games for SNES are very nice. I like that there are different modes with enhancements into gameplay if you're bored with plain Tetris.
1,120,640 is a score which was calculated using the following formula: 40*(lvl+1)*K, where K depends on how many lines were burned simultaneously. Single: K=1. Double: K=2,5. Triple: K=7,5. Tetris: K=30. The level depends on which level you have after burned lines.
