The Hisense U7K is an improvement over last year’s models and that is the result of the company listening to feedback and fixing the items that needed to be addressed. As such, the U7K you buy in the UK matches the same TVs with that model number in other countries. Well done to Hisense for doing that and continuing to improve its products for end users. The U7K offers up fantastic features with all HDR formats supported and two full bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports with excellent gaming credentials to boot. Image quality is a step up on last year with better accuracy, black levels and shadow detail retrieval. HDR is also good, but it does lack overall brightness and contrast when compared to rivals and the tone mapping clips highlight detail over 600 nits, rather than matching and adapting to the mastering monitor metadata. But, with good smart TV execution, very good bright room images, excellent gaming features and solid build quality, the U7K offers many things for a mass market audience. It is a little expensive when compared to direct competition, but you still get a lot of screen real estate for the money! For all those reasons it gets a Recommended badge.
The good
Accurate greyscale and colour with SDR and HDR in Filmmaker Mode
Two HDMI 2.1 inputs at 48Gbps and good gaming features
Decent sound quality
Good build quality
The not so good
HDR tone mapping is over-clipping detail higher than 600 nits
Dynamic HDR tone mapping over brightening the image
Some light DSE and banding seen
Local dimming can be intrusive and quick scene changes catch it out

The Hisense u7k is the best tv I’ve ever owned. I only bought it to play cyberpunk 2077 on ps5 and it was worth every penny.
Haha! Same here! Bought the A7N from amazon and when I took it out of the box it had a massive crack on the screen. returned! Heading down to Curry’s to nab this U7K. Looking forward to Cyberpunk tonight lol
The only youtube account that present this Hisense U7k. Thank you.
Please let people know what the angle viewing quality is like in your reviews.. Thank you for creating and sharing your work.
It's in the full written review at AVForums. Link in the description.

75U7KQTUK U7K
Or 75E7KQTUK-PRO 75"
Hi Sir
Would you recommend hisense E7k or E7h ? For midrange 4k for gaming too
Will the 120 hertz benefit me if im watching sport on apps such as DAZN, Discovery Plus and Now TV?
Hi, can anyone advise whether, 4K images wise, would this be an upgrade on my relatively old Samsung Q70R?
I almost bought both the TCL QM8 and C845 before buying this U7K - and after reading multiple reviews, the TCL models have issues with high-refresh rate sources such as PCs and consoles. On both TCL models, there are inconsistent response times and input lag when using VRR - not a dealbreaker - but both models are incapable of 4K120 at 4:4:4 chroma, making images from PCs and consoles an imprecise, low-quality mess at 4:2:2 chroma, setting us back to the dark ages of early 4K televisions and HDMI 1.4 standards. Why would you buy a 120Hz, HDMI 2.1 television if it can't do either of those things properly? Sure, HDR is nice to have, but so much content is still SDR so the superior VRR reliability, 120Hz 4:4:4, colour-accurate, and balanced SDR experience sealed the deal for me and I'm so happy I didn't make the mistake of buying either of the highly-rated TCL models which owe a lot of their good ratings to HDR performance.
Where is the source showing inconsistent response times in a real world situation for either. As in something that isnt a purely synthetic benchmark?
@@johnfrankster3244 RTINGS - who are a reputable source for TV testing as far as I can tell.
wait you said tcl C845 is cheaper than U7k? In Poland that TCL is much more expensive U7K is more on the level of C745...
I can't find the width of the 55" stand width, its not even on the website specs
Thanks for great reviews as always. Trying to decide what TV to get. The G3, S95C or Hisense?
95c is better than the others , by some way .
Im in the market to purchase my first large tv and in South africa i have 2 choices, either the hisense 100U7K mini led or thr TCL 98C755. Please advice on your choice between the 2. I will be using it in a living room space and to play ps5 on.
Thank you in advance.
This one or TCL C805(755) or Philips ML9008?
Just bought this 65 u7k. On darker tones on the screen i can see vertical lines as if its had screen burn. When watching tv its visible but you do have to look for the lines. Is mine a duff panel or is this normal? Only unboxed it yesterday.
I took a picture and it does show its worse on pboto but i cant help but think i should send it back .
I went in store to currys and i couldnt see it on the demo u7k.
I had same issue and thought it was dirty screen . but when I Unplug power lead from tv and re plugged in back in it disappeared
This or the TCL C845? Thank you
Thanks Phil again for information rich review. As I'm currently looking for 100 inch miniled tv I would be interested how does 100 inch version of the Hisense u7kq fares against its comparable rival from TCL as it's rather hard to find a shop that has both of them :-)
its a u8k for this model I believe
Bought this 65 inch model for 399 euro's with a black friday deal. Awesome TV for an insanely low price !
400 ?!?!?!?!? Are you sure? This is 1100 euro tv after a supposed 600 euro discount in Sweden......
is this the mexcico or china built version
HISENSE U7K or TCL c745?
Great test! I just ordered the 75u7k(q) for a very good price in germany (1079€ which when you count in TAX equals around 900$ in the US). The comparison with the C845 is impressive tho and I see it as clear winner of the comparison, but here in Germany the TCL costs about 1699€ which was beyond what I wanted to spend. I'm pretty sure I will be happy with the Hisense for the amount of money I spent ☺
In what way would the c845 be better? Im in doubt between that and the u7k, very similarly priced here in the Netherlands.
@@hschokker86 as far as I understood the tcl is brighter and has more local dimming zones. But you will be happy with either of both ☺️
Are you satisfied with u7kq? I have plan to buy 65u7kg. In Bosnia this model cost about 850€.
@@ozrenbukeilovic6670 I am fully satisfied with the 75u7k! It's brilliant. Local dimming works perfectly fine and I don't see a huge difference to a friend's 77" lg oled. And for gaming the u7k is also a beast. I'm playing at the moment elden ring on it with about 100-120fps with freesync on a 4080 super and it works perfectly.
would you recommend it for 65 inches 699 euros?
Any plans on reviewing the U8K? The 75'' would be appreciated since it uses a ADS panel and there is a great interest for this variant.
I have a 65-inch U8K for review
Hi, does the 75 u7k also have the ADS panel? And is the ADS better compared with VA panels
Same as the Australian model?
Sorry that is incorrect, Hisense still offers different specs such as different panels such as VA,IPS. and different number of dimming zones depending where you by like Australia VS U.S and UK
Thats why they add a AU or EU at the end of the model
That is correct but this year apart from the stand and operating system they are the same . Iv checked before I bought
Just bought one during Black Friday
How much was it on black friday?
Does this mean that the equivalent TCL Q7 is a superior viewing experience?
they seem to be incredibly close, certain reviewers either prefer one or the other
Hello, which model between this TV and the tcl c805?
And what model did you buy? I'm considering exactly those two...
Please review U8K.
Did you have ambient light sensor on? The brightness figures you’re getting are less than what Rtings got on their unit.
The other possibility is that UK variant is toned down from US variant
He def did for Dolby vision dark as light sensor can’t be turned off in that pre set . Should of tested it in Dolby vision custom
This year ,they are the same . And previous years , they were other difference but not the brightness .
Which is better u7k 75 inch or q7 75 inch? Want a good viewing angle tv
Who looks at their tv side on?
does it have dirty screen effect issue ?
My first second and third all had bad dse, waiting for a full refund as its looks like a 4th would be shite too
Is the tcl qm8 and tcl c845 the same?
No
Hisense is much more cheaper in Indonesia 65" U7K $900 vs 65" C845 $1500.
The TCL 65" C645 is similar price as U7K at $900.
14 juta pas...lg nunggu unitnya datang 😊.

Just got the 55 inch U7K for £462 with cashback here in UK:)
Where did you buy it?
@@donsulit9930 i did get it at very. As till yesterday there was a promotion that if U buy selected tvs on buy now pay later 12months plan they will give you 20% off the tv, however U need to order it for the price stated and then U get the cashback later. Andditionally, i use complete savings which is a cashbqck website which gave me another 10% but from the price om the website which was 649. So i got £129.8 off from very and 52 pounds from completw savings as they give U 10% but from the price that does not include vat. So i paid like 467 not 462
Would you choose this mini-LED U7K or TCL C745?
Since the UK version uses VIDAA instead of the Google TV, do you guys think that is a deal breaker? How was your experience with VIDAA? If it is a deal breaker, which is the best alternative to the U7K?
Vidaa works fine and is fast but I’d recommend Apple TV with any decent tv
@@gman5218 so buying U7K then plugging in Apple TV would be your recommendation?
Just an update, i bought the U7K and very happy with it! 👌🏼
The stand and remote are different to what we get in North America, surely there are other differences . I almost bough this one but went for the 65U8k instead. I paid the eq of 1125 pounds delivered and the prices are said to drop throughout the year.
Hisense is saying that from a specification standpoint (panel, processor, local dimming zones etc.) they are the same worldwide for each model SKU. You will see slight regional differences with cosmetics, tuners etc. and prices will vary given taxes and so on.
@@avforums is the remote has backlight button like the NA version?
@@avforums- In India, 55'' U7K is being sold for exactly half price of 55"lg C3.. Would love to know your opinion on this!!
@@rinalsingh1258us is 8 bit too
What are u saying man has great dynamiz range
A real "budget" IMAX screen would be four of these in a 16K 400" setup. In theory it could work by using a DP 2.0 output to some sort of multidisplay sync card. Or four Nvidia A4000 Ada Gen, since Nvidia cheaped out for DP 1.4.
Stupid? Yes, but fun.
(I'm a layman, my only reference some Googleling is that old LinusTT video on 16K gaming video) Im probably speaking out of my a*s
You sure are . That's not how it works 😊
TCL much more expensive where I live than Hisense.
The tcl is 260 euro more expensive than the hisense. In greece
If you're talking about the c845 . They don't play in the same category. Its direct competitor would rather be the c805
People must know that this now "global" TV in BEST BUY USA cost (without TAX / VAT)
470 pounds or 550 euros for 55" size
570 pounds or 670 euros for 65" size
Afcourse now you must add your local/state taxes on those prices and even then you will notice that something is wrong. Than you will dig deeper and notice that Hisense have compeletely different models(stand, remote, OS) with same model number for US market with dirt cheap prices.
Hisense is saying that from a specification standpoint (panel, processor, local dimming zones etc.) they are the same worldwide for each model SKU. You will see slight regional differences with cosmetics, tuners etc. and prices will vary given taxes and so on.
@@avforums When we compare similar worldwide models from other brands LG, Sony or Samung there is not a single model in their lineup that is 100% cheaper in US compare to EU or UK regardles of cosmetic, tuner or tax differences.
The 55'' U7K retails at £1200 in the UK. Hughes(a local retailer) is selling it at £1100 to members. Hisense is offering a limited time £200 cashback, claimable next month. So you can get it for £900 if you jump through some hoops. The TCL 55c845k can be had for £800. Seems a no brainer to get the TCL at the moment.
I just picked up the 65” at Costco for $699 with a 3 year warranty.
Juat bought this tv in 55 inch in canada. $900 CAD taxes included
Hello ,how is tv working out I'm looking at it to buy I think it's the same would you happen to no U78km is that the same and is there any DSE on urs ?
@chrisd1172 don't know what dse means. But I'm very happy with the tv. Refresh rate on this tv is 144htz. While most tvs have 120htz. True motion is 240htz. Which is amazing. And it's super bright mini led
@@44pakattack Cool thanks
the 100 inch is equivalent to U8k as far as I know

Did a mic swap and levels clipped on this one. Will make sure it doesn't happen again, thanks.
That’s disappointing considering the U.S. U7H last year pushed 900 nits in small windows.
What the hell…whats wrong with last yr 900nits. Duah, U7H was NOT U8H. We can’t go look up iPhone 14(NONE pro), n go complaint about “its too bad last yr iPhone 13 (none pro) didnt do that” lol. 😊
U are talking about like 1 yr old model, n its Tier down.
Not talking about SONY X95K peak was 800 something, n most ppl bought SoNY were getting X90K 85K, getting like 550, 680 peak nits. N their $3000 OLEDs were like 600-780 pathetic --nits.
I went to store ask the TV sales guy SONY X95K-(at time i did not konw what nits they were), “hey what is there Peak brightness , what’s local dimming” d dude got so nervous would just change topic. I went back again another time…. Diff dude , just ran off. They knew how crappy they are, they do NOT tell ppl. 😮😮😮
If anyone with LAST year U7 900 nits(tested at 1100-1200nit), then get U8 2100 nit. Lol. 😅
@@birdtj82 I’m saying it’s disappointing the U7K this year seems to be overall dimmer than the U7H last year, at least for the UK model he reviewed, which should be a strength for Mini LED- as for the rest of that long bullshit post, I have no comment.

I own both the 75" US release U7H and U7K and the U7K is far brighter in every setting I have done a comparison in.
@@j.rfrazier1855I have uk version and it’s extremely bright . Def around 1000 nits

Hisense U7KQ Euro version angle viewing is so bad ! I never seen such a short viewing angle . Brightness was measured at slightly more than 600 nits and not around 1000 as advertised . Filmmaker. cinema day, cinema night are, in my opinion, the worst picture modes. Unwatchable !
Like a frog in boiling water, AVForums are slowly easing their way into just another cookie cutter social media/TH-cam creator. Starting with “everything you need to know” articles, to “please like and subscribe,” Phil is now inserting himself into thumbnails with the next step being the shocked expression thumbnail face. It’s like they’re following the how to be a generic and unoriginal content creator handbook.
So, you would take lots of effort and put it under the rug !! Make it a secret, nobody will ever know. No, you have bring it to the audience.
