I like how House gets slightly less annoyed with her each time. Because what appears to be a straightforward clinic case turns out to be a puzzle. Not a very challenging one, but a puzzle nonetheless.

It's also because she never actually lied to him.
What I really liked about these scenes is that the actress had different clothes in each of them signifying that she visited the clinic in multiple days. That's a nice dose of realism even when each scene lasts only a minute or so.
Pretty good observation, however, after several re-watch, I've noticed there was also a male actor in the same scene who wore different clothing too.
And then you'll have a scene of House being a 400IQ genius and his colleagues going into someone's house
Huh - a director making sure characters are wearing different clothes on 'different days' is genius?
I expect that sort of basic attention to 'detail' in every bit of TV and film I watch..

I think this is one of my favorite patient interactions, because he's not as harsh as he could be and she doesn't seem as annoyed by him as she could be.
Well he did figure out and diagnose her problem, didn't judge just gave some advice and left her to think about it. I wouldn't be offended by House eithet at least he's honest lol
As someone on the autism spectrum, social communication isn't a strong point, so I appreciate clear and direct communication. House says what he means, and I find it so refreshing that I wish everyone was like that haha.
She's attractive and he was always nicer to the pretty ones.

I had an ex-girlfriend with a brother who used to talk to her in the kitchen while asleep. Perfectly normal conversation, but he was asleep. One early morning, I found my ex-fiancee on the porch of my townhouse up on a bench with her arms out. It was a good 20 foot drop. I carefully worked her down. Next day she told me she had a dream about wanting to jump off a mountain. Didn't know I had talked to her at all. Humans are strange creatures.

I have a family member who can fall asleep anywhere anytime and the sleep is very deep. His wife used do things like put him in her nightgown, walk him out to the couch and let him sleep there, paint his nails, etc. He was kind of freaked out the first couple of times, but fortunately for him, the novelty of doing this wore off long ago.

I love at the end when House suggests to have sex with her ex while she is awake. Unlike his other clinic patients, she doesn't seem annoyed or insulted at all. It looks like she is actually considering it.

The early seasons has the best clinic duties. Her character is surface-simple but she's so frustrated with what's happening that she actually takes House's antics in good stride. If she was a regular on the show their interactions would be amazing to watch.
oh I think I know what their interactions would look like. Apart from her sexomnia she seems like a fairly bright, capable person. They'd have been in the sack inside two episodes.

Yea but that’s the point of House, once he solves the puzzle he’s done and bored with the person and moves on the next medical puzzle, they might have had decent chemistry but Houses intrigue comes purely from the mystery from the case after that she’s just another annoying person.

I went to my medical appointment at christmas needed bloods/xrays full works and the doctor was like "might you be pregnant" now okay i'm a old fashion borning person no marriage no knookie so clearly not marride and no to the other personal choice, also have a illness that make me infetile (it was a stand in doctor normal gp's just jump these questions) I turned around to him and said "if you find a positive pregancy test ,1)I'm ecstatic and shoting it from the roof top and 2) we need to follow the north star because something very special would be going on" lol

This show made me want to be an MD. Then 3 months of med school made me want to take up cooking again.
That's kind of funny since in one episode when House quits trying to be a doctor he picks up cooking.

This is super real. My roommate has this disorder and has to sleep alone out of fear that he'll do something inappropriate in his sleep. Never gotten up and found himself in someone else's room, luckily. And for the better- I'm the only other person who lives there.

Someone I know told me that this episode wasn't farfetched, that the condition is real, because I doubted it. He told his ex roommate had this condition, and found out when got too friendly with his dog lol. He had a surveillance camera in the living room, where it happened, so when he wook up in a fright, he checked the footage to understand why his bark was attacking him, just barking and a small bite wound to his face, and he was so surprised. He went to the hospital and other places I was told, and got this diagnose, and was fine after a few months on the pills he got (thankfully).

I had this for a couple of months when I was working 80 hour weeks. Apparently, I was very outgoing when I was asleep. Let's just say my husband was NOT amused at the mixed signals. I would wake him up then I would actually wake up in the middle of the deed and freak both of us out. It was very bizarre. After I quit one of my jobs everything went back to normal. My husband still talks fondly of that time period, lol.

One of my favorite side plots. Her case wasn’t life threatening but just interesting enough to keep House’s attention.

I don’t watch House MD officially but from what I’ve seen, I like how this patient didn’t bullshit House at all. Sure, she got a little bit of sass from him, but she is genuinely confused and trying to figure out what’s up, not trying to trick or scam him or giving him any attitude. It’s nice sometimes.
You should watch the whole show, it is one of the best TV shows that ever aired. Such a great show.

I have to say, House should be a bit more surprised by this one - she WAS telling the truth (at least as far as she knew), from start to finish.
Well, the thing is, I'm pretty sure he had already realized that she was telling the truth by the time he suggested the sleep lab to her. In fact, he probably put it together as soon as he heard that her ex was living in the same building and was complaining about mixed signals.
This is how a doctor should be. Investigative, deductive, intelligent. They shouldn't try to make assumptions and try to rush you out the door. Its all in your head type of dodctors.
Man, this show was ridiculously good, kinda like The Mentalist and Sherlock, love shows like that.

'House' was such a genius series. Wish there would be a comeback - especially if Wilson was healed by a faith healer !!!!!.

This is the first ever time I saw House, I have watched 6/8 seasons, I highly suggest that people watch this show, its so interesting and worth it. The way house acts is what drew me to this show.

There were so many great side plots on that show. And it never ceases to amaze me how he could fake the American accent so well. He's a Brit. And earlier in his career he did a lot of comedy shows. Its so weird to see him in that stuff after watching House.
It's actually not that hard. All you have to do to sound American if you are British is to rhoticise your "R's". A distinct marker of American English is the fact that Americans pronounce the "R" sound in words and English people don't usually. Try it out sometime. It actually works
