Listen, you put an Orc-like analog in this game? And I mean any kind of Orc. Noble warrior orcs? I'm in. Silly one-track minded orcs? I'm in. They don't even need to be orcs in the classical sense, they just need to fulfill that Orc-y spot. You guys are insanely creative and I know you'll make something awesome since you already have.
I have a few faction ideas. 1: Beefy and clunky cyberpunk robots. Like the ABC Warrior robot from mid 90s Judge Dredd movie. 2: A clean looking highly advanced humanoid lizard creatures. 3: Also as a 40k Ork player it would be cool to see some kind of orc green skin faction.
Would absolutely love to see a faction of space faring undead, skeletal legions in space ruled over and commanded by powerful Necromancers or a heavily Roman inspired faction, an Interstellar Empire of professionally trained Legionaries fighting back against the horrors of Space! So much potential for growth and expansion, totally inspiring to see the passion they’ve put into this project
You know just as you say this, it strikes me that one thing I've never seen is a sci-fi vampire. They're meant to be immortal yeah? Live for centuries and centuries on end provided they have blood. So where's the sci-fi stories with necromantic vampires raising undead on entire planets?
I will buy it someday that i have money because anything that supports Dave supports hundreds of creators and people he has helped. If I ever meet Dave, I honestly probably uncontrolably laugh and cry. Thank you Brother.
These minis look amazing, though I am a bit sad they are preassembled. One of my favourite things is putting stuff together, customizing and converting.
for me personally , even finding people to play AOS with is not easy as 40K already , any other game system , people don t even know the game or know how to play them , me include , so nope
I find it hard to belive that Dave has never seen the Forge Fathers by Mantic Games! more so when MWG dwarf mechs look very very very close to the Mantic ones lol
Very hyped for the Tyranid replacements always wanted more biomass animal horde than big bug hive but could never find the right models. Glad to say tyranids here I come
What about a Men of Iron faction. Since we havent seen what happened to the core of humanity yet un this universe, only the void tainted humans, that would be a fun one. Bunch of rogue AIs give a lot of design freedom.
Should I jump to Ravaged Star now, or wait and see (doubt in season 3 but maybe later) if something like Lizardfolk or Dragonkin with gravity and lightning guns show up Oh pain from been torn appart couse of jumping or not
The minis look cool but with the short campaign, I am afraid this is just a quick money grab. As soon as it is done it will be forgotten like their dark horizon game. I will wait and if the game is available later maybe I will join in. It just seams crazy to only sell a gave for a week and expect it to grow into a comunity
The campaign lasts a week, but you can still do late pledges up to about 6 months, I believe they said, and they are planning on trying to get into stores. Plus with the amount of time Matthew is spending on developing rules, I don't think this is a cash grab.
@@dreaxuslordofdecay Considering they raised over a mil on Kickstarter and 500k on Gamefound for what amounts to prebuilt ripoffs of Tyranids and Chaos Warriors for a campaign lasting only a week...yeah sounds like a cashgrab.
My wallet is crying while I'm war crying. I really can't wait to see this in stores to pick up and play. I feel like the warhammer store is the only place that does war gaming while every where else is just doing card games.
Honestly, the models look good until I see the price, even with the current discounts. I feel like there's no entry level product to see if I like the minis. My only real option would be to see if I can get someone to split the starter box with me, but that's far easier said than done. Looking at what I can get for the same price from 3D Printers, I can get a similar amount of minis for half the price, and I don't even need to invest deep at first to see if I like them. When I'm looking at new games to try, the massive up front cost of Ravaged Star keeps pushing me away. The game looks awesome, and the sculpts do too, but I feel like it's a bigger up front cost than even 40K.
@@nicon4206oddly enough I actually feel a bit of similar lore vibe of the Tyranid and Squats going on with the lore between the Gorkog and Immari lore.
Yes they are for the next 8 days. But you won't get them for about a year. I have been hovering my mouse over the checkout button, but can't get myself to do it since I am not going to get the models for such a long time.
@@calebbarnhouse496 Its not a downside either, its a pure subjective thing. At this point, id rather just paint and play, after building hundreds if not thousands of models, that part is the most tedious. Would rather have single piece.
I won't get paid in time to support the gamefound. Please tell me you will print the rules and cards and minis. I want the immari. I already have the veil-touched! Way to Go MWG Dave and Matt and all the rest! Fundedn in less than 5 minutes!
Ah yes a faction that is almost a carbon copy of warhammer/starcraft will come again because the community wanted it. Maybe they'll eventually do something original.

ORKS! ORCS! ORQUES! ORKS! ORCS!
I agree. As a 40k Ork player I would love to see that.
Need orks in business suits

This is really clever and bypasses a lot of the problems many face getting into the hobby. Clever.

the definition of "we have 40k at home"
Really glad you added pledge for "all from one army" so I dont have to buy 2-army boxes just to get all for veil-touched
It would be great if you started an online webnovel and short comics to help build out the lore and universe.
I second this, would love a web comic series
Just backed for some space dwarfs sheild madeins and a massive mech!
Has any thought been given to moulding the different factions out of different colours? This would make getting into a game even quicker!
Let me know if you ever decide to sell a 3D printable version. I'm in the post-buying-physical-models phase of my life.

I feel you but I love the fact I can go straight to priming and painting. Going to speed the process up a lot and the poses are pretty good generally.

Very happy to hear this. Absolutely want this in my FLGS.
I’ll get into it when there’s an eldar, imperial guard, or space marine equivalent in terms of looks and aesthetics.
What a great idea to expand the Hobby by lowering the barrier to entry!
We would love to sell this at our game store we own!
Just saw this game on Ninjons channel. This looks AMAZING! I need those Amori Dwarves in my life.
amazing models amazing effort. Just cant afford.
If these guys live to see themselves eventually topple the corp greed icon of sin that is GW, well that be would be a pretty epic life arc.

I might even consider playing and buying some minis, if you get the shipping costs to europe to a realistic level
