    Im so glad i found your channel (recently).
    After kidney failure and kidney transplant, i developed hypothyroidism. Ive been feeling more terrible the last half year, and after arguing with my doctor for two weeks now to get Hashimotis testing done, i finally got them done this morning. I used a lot of your pointers to convince him, thank you😃👏👏👏..
    ... now i have to ask him to do all these...😂😂🤷‍♀️

    Spooky! I have recently been diagnosed with Subclinical Hypothyroidism and on my first dose of Thyroxine (starts today). I feel I may have inflammation so was wondering what tests I need for that and your video appeared! It's like you are Godsend. So now I know what to order, I'm in UK so I hope the doc will listen.
    I have watched so many of your videos and you explain all the confusing things in a very simple understandable language and it all make sense. I keep sharing your videos as I think more people need to learn to understand these very complex Thyroid issues and how to deal with the issues.
    I wish I could connect with you, even if it's only once, to understand what my body is doing. My endo hasn't explained anything and my own doctor didn't thing 13.54 was high TSH...she completely overlooked and told me my thyroid is fine. No T3 or Rt3 test done!
    Possible to email you my tests at all?

    Wow. I have been struggling for years and you seem so knowledgeable about treating the thyroid, hashimoto, high inflammation, and high antibodies. I have all these for years and no one has treated this except with T3 & T4.

    Such a helpful video, glad to see my doc & endo have checked these. Unfortunately, they don't go into detail on how to lower the inflammation or the cause- only that it's normal for Hashi patients 🙄

    I got my Ferritin level checked for the first time about a year ago due to my hair falling out and thinking I must surely have low iron. BIG mistake!! It came back @700 something. Got it tested 6 months later, and it was at 874. Yet, my iron itself is low, so that must mean this is due to inflammation. Problem, is my PA doesn't seem too interested in finding out why it is so high. It's scary & frustrating. I wish I had never had it checked. I don't have health insurance so going elsewhere is not an option. I just wish I knew how to fix myself without help, since I am not getting any, anyway.

    My ferritin dropped from 90s to 58.5, and iron increased from 105 to 120 (higher part of the normal range) and TIBC is right in the middle. So im confused, as my hair is falling a lot, thyroid is fluctuating (dosage being adjusted). What do you reckon, the ferritin falling and iron increasing could indicate? The hairfall is not linked to ferritin in this case right? Estradiol is high :(

    Thank you for sharing such valuable information. About a year ago, I eliminated dairy and eggs and seafood about 7 years ago due to allergies. I just found out that I am very iodine deficient, which caused my TSH to rise. Could you do a video sometime on how to safely supplement with Iodine after becoming iodine deficient? I've never had to think about iodine consumption and I'm unsure of what to do. How much? How often? Once the stores are supplied, can I just use iodized salt? Can too much iodine cause problems? ty

    Thanks for focusing in inflammation. For years I was focused on thyroid but realize now that inflammation is hugely impactful to health. Question re: antibody testing. Would antibody levels for thyroid decrease as hashi's progresses, ie atrophied thyroid?

    • @drwestinchilds
      @drwestinchilds  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, they typically decrease over time for that reason.

      My thyroid was enlarged too so I got a ultrasound first then they found nodules so my doctor ordered me to get a fine needle aspiration. you should talk to your doctor to get an ultrasound.

    Thank you so much for your informative clips. I was placed on levothyroxine or synthroid soon after I had symptoms and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Ever since I have been getting regular check ups and my TSH has mostly been normal. Non the less gradually I lost most of my eyebrows and the small hair right in front of my ears as well as the fine hair on my hairline. Recently due to itchy areas on my body ( without any skin problems or signs) and a long standing itchy arm after a flu shot( Jan 2020 and I still have itch in the area of injection but the electric sensation down to my fingers has subsided drastically, thank god) I have been ordered many tests. For the first time after 25 years I was told I have Hoshimoto since my anti thyroid antibodies are through the roof. Why did I lose my eyebrows when I started taking Levo early on and what relationship if any these itchy spots have with anything else? Are the same antibodies that caused my thyroid to shut down causing damage else where like with my eyebrows and hair line and now itchiness?
    I appreciate you taking time to respond.
