- In civilization 6 you typically get stronger units as you research key civ 6 technologies. But what if we didn't do that? Can you make the civ 6 warrior the STRONGEST unit in civilization 6 without cheating and even defeat the giant death robot on civ 6 deity?

@@konan102102 Warrior Monks are actually very powerful for a super fast late classical push if you have the required faith generation. Have used them very successfully a few times.
Warrior monks are my scouts, I make scouts so when I get their next edition I gain a ranged unit that can actually move across the map.

With truly no mods, wouldn’t Mongolia give you the strongest warrior ? You can get +6 from a trading post, +6 from Printing, +12 from a secret agent level spy, that’s a nice +24. ( maybe you can run several listening post and still get the benefit, I don’t remember if you do, but if it’s the case, it’s even more than that)
Plus you could have used the future era card that gives you +7 combat strength in allied territory
theres a max and at best id get 24 vs 30 from luxuries
On defense you çan go Vietnam with a warrior on a district in a hills with urban fighter + fortify (10+10+6++6) 26, + Defender and Victor that a + 10(36)

So techinically, everything in the video is possible. I see no reason why people would be upset about Luxury Island or you spawning in a Warrior.

Does Gilgamesh's alliance combat strength bonus affect their ally? If it does, then you could get +5 more if you had a military alliance with Gilgabro instead of the hobgoblin. You could've also added Matterhorn and fought on a hill.
Edit: There was also the wars of religion policy card for an additional +4. It can definitely be stacked with crusade. I'm not sure whether the circumstance is that your opponent must not be fully converted by you or if your opponent has to have founded their own religion but I regularly use WoR and crusade in my games and I know for certain that they can be used together.
Double edit: If you got the fascism legacy card and then swapped to democracy, you could plug the fascist legacy in along with Their Finest Hour. This gives +5 strength when in or adjacent to home territory. If you have a border with the enemy, you can stand your troops on the enemy side of it and avail of Crusade as well as TFH.

You should name your next millitary unit "The Orphaners"
The funny thing about Spearmen is that I can usually defeat a Barb Spearmen unit with a Warrior by attacking once, healing to full again, then repeating the cycle until it dies.

There are 2 ways to do this without using the god mod and that is barbs and clans mode and a convert the heathen charge (which also can be done with a certain great general). With clans mode, Find a barb camp and hire a warrior.

Also i know u used map editor that kinda breaks gamemods but in practice you could have bought warrior from barb clan as aztec. Even 3 warriors if u lucky enough.
Also warrior is 30 combat strength less wheb attacked because momtesuma ability works on attack and not defense?

When do you recommend building encampments in a typical or domination game? Just got into your vids and haven't seen you put down any, least not within 100 turns
Only build encampments when you want to conquer. A few ranged units and two melee units is enough to beat back 90% of AI pushes.
