Grips are the first thing I change on any new bike. Stock grips are rarely good.
Slight problem? No problem? Way to pump out all these videos this week. I really appreciate the reviews, but yeah: we all need to get out on the trails before the days get too short.

Man I love that paint scheme! Trek always does a solid job with their paint!
Not always man, I've had a full frame paint failure on my 3 month old Marlin 7. Warranty claim accepted by my local bike shop but was advised to just take the loss and enjoy a bare aluminum frame or repaint myself, as sending it away for repair or replacement will take over a year. Lol. Has put me off buying another Trek to be honest!

Another banger Matty very informative video. i soon may get aRoscoe 8 or Specialized fuse sport. Currently have a 2018 specialized pitch its seen better days heres all the things i need to do to my bike:
true the front wheel its got aprox 1/3 of an inch wobble
new grips- in the middle of them are very hard and uncomfortable
new seat the stock specialized seat is slippery and too firm
new brake pads its taking about 4 or 5 seconds to slow down from 15mph to around 6mph, possibly may convert from mechanical to hydraulic brakes
new back tyre its getting quite bold and slippying on trails up hill and cornering lol

I love that you did a backflip in Walmart. Suffering for your art, very noble. I saw that rock face that you decided to not do and was thinking nope...if you lose your balance a little on that thing, you're going headfirst down that cliff. There wasn't even a place to land your left foot on the ground if you started heading over that way...that looked really dangerous on the camera at least. Smart choice!

I’d be nervous about going down a black that late in the day. If something unfortunate happens, like falling off the trail, you might be spending the night out there.

Is there a big benefit to having a helmet with a visor? As a total newbie I didn’t get one, but I see pretty much every serious rider has one. Just curious, thanks!
To be honest I’m not really sure lol. I just get mountain bike helmets lol
@@MattyActive sounds good 😂. I asked the guys at my local bike shop too and they didn’t have an answer either. I guess it might keep some branches out of your eyes, but that’s the only big benefit I can see
In terms of ride what is the difference in the Roscoe versus the Marlin?
It’s just smoother and easier to roll over stuff for sure. The slack head angle and geometry also makes a huge difference on the Roscoe

i've been on a marlin 7 for about a year now, and already looking at something like the roscoe for the slack geometry. marlin feels a lot more like the kind of bike you'd ride around the park with your kids, out on a friday stroll through town kind of stuff. a capable bike, but missing the "fun" geometry

Backflip in to Walmart 😂 nice touch. Sick riding 🤙🏾 you seem to enjoy the Roscoe 9 the most out of the bikes you have ridden on the channel. It's a pretty awesome hardtail. Do you feel like you need a full suspension bike or do you think the Roscoe 9 could be your only bike?
I do think my Roscoe 9 can be my only bike for sure, but I do want to get a top fuel or a Trek Ex. It’s nice to have a smoother ride sometimes after getting beaten up on the hardtail lol
